Of course the Betty Sketti dolls are gorgeous!! Marilyn was laughing becuz her nieces don't know the REAL Betty Sketti and we have her living right here with us in the Ya Ya Ski Lodge!!!

OMG, we have been graced with the presence of the Mighty Emperor Zurg, himself!!!! Welcome to our humble lodge, your greatness!

I don't think I could handle green OR purple ketchup. That's just too wierd for me.

Good Morning!
My DS6 loves the colored ketchup.....I just can't bring myself to eat the green stuff though....the purple is actually less offensive to me than the green is.
You know that because of the purple ketchup talk here on this thread last night there was a suggestion made this morning that the Ya-Ya's might possibly have something to do with the board changing colors The suggestion came from the dark side & had something to do with colored duct tape
Has everyone managed to dig themselves out of the snow?
Thankfully it wasn't too bad here...it didn't stop us from doing what was planned for the holidays.
Well, I just popped by to say hi...so...HI!!!!

Okay I admit, I don't think I've ever seen a Betty Sketti doll or if I have I am clueless.

We have purple ketchup....just had to try it. It tastes the same as regular, seems thicker to me (guess that makes it better for drawing with )..............but the color is pretty gross.

And...yes, you have created a clipart monster!! I love clip art.....and stationery ......but for here clip art will do.

Popped on for a few to say hi. Gonna head to TDS in a bit. My BIL is staying here with the boys while DH & I go out for awhile. WOO HOO!

Going to visit our friends in Cleveland tonight. We haven't had time to spend with them in ages. They have 3 boys, and all our boys love hanging out together. She's taking me to see her sister's triplet girls tonight, too. I can't wait. I love babies!

Thanks for the nice comments on my little nephew. He's such a cutie. He's our only nephew and he's our godson, so we are spoiling him rotten!

OK, gonna eat a grilled cheese sandwich, then head out!

Morning/afternoon everyone!!

Oh, I saw that TDS is running a sale on plush. Pretty much a half price sale. I almost got a Stitch, but already had one. Soooooo... I only have the Stitch I bought a few weeks ago. He's wearing a little Santa suit, but it's easy to remove, so he can hang out all year round.

Yesterday I picked up a ton of records yesterday and am listening to them now to make sure they don't skip (for our younger Ya Ya's, records are those black, vinyl discs that played music before the CD. I got a bunch of 45s, which are the smaller ones. One song per side, but at only 10 cents each, who could pass them up??). Eventually, I'm getting a jukebox, so I'm stocking up now. LOL.... my parents have 3 jukeboxes, so maybe they'll give me one of theirs to start with.

Well, time to find some lunch. I think leftover ham or turkey is on the menu. Again. Unless I find something more interesting.

Have to confess that I have never seen a Betty Sketti doll. I thought the nieces made it up. Now I have to have one. Where can I get one? What do they look like? Imagine a doll named after me.....

Well, we are hanging out around the house today doing laundry and then on to BIL and SIL hotel for a pool party. Going to eat LaRosa's pizza. It is a local specialty and we used to always meet them at the restaurant when we lived out of town. Should be a good time.

Well, I have inputed most of my information in the Palm Pilot. Can't admit this to DH but it is a lot nicer than me carrying the Daytimer around with me. Guess I should have accepted this new technology a little earlier in my life. I do have to admit that in the past 3 days, I have inputted information into two cell phones and one palm pilot. My eyes are going crossed eyed.

So how is everyone doing today?

I hate these new colors.

WOW, I am so colorful!!!! The dolls are a little skinnier than I am but what the heck, they are fantasy dolls and the real one resides right here with the Ya Yas.

Got to go to Target and get me one of those lovely girls. She will have to sit next to my computer. Wonder if I can find one with lime green hair?

I am really on the fence here about the board colors--normally, I love purple, but this just doesn't look right. Oh well, it'll change again, I suppose.........

Jay, where did you find records???!!! At that price I'm suspecting a flea market or yard sale? We got a Thomas Pacconi reproduction of an old radio as a stereo for ourselves and it has a turntable in the top so I can play all all my old records too! (It also has a cassette player, a CD player, and an AM/FM radio in it. But I'm not sure I can handle all this new-fangled technology stuff!! LOL!!) It's been great being able to hear all the Christmas music that I grew up with, too, since I have all my dad's record albums now. My favorite is the Perry Como Christmas Album cuz there's a skip in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I just LOL every time......"'smas Eve...smas Eve....smas Eve..."!!!

Beth, I found them at Half Price Books. Well, at one location around here, anyway. They have one store here in town, but they don't really carry many. When I tried to take some on to sell to them, they offered me 75 cents. And that was for about 50-70 records (a lot of them were duplicates of what I had or some weird songs that I'd never heard of. Promotional kind of things for artists just breaking in. All were about 10-15 yrs old, so none of them really amounted to anything. ). I found another store a bit further away over the summer & they sell lots of 45s. Depending on the record, they sell them for 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents or $1.00. Most all of them are 10 or 25 cents. A lot of them are in pristine condition, too! Some are pretty beat up (I found one that had been cracked all the way thru, then glued back together. ). I'll go in once a month or so to see what they have. That gives them time to get new stuff in and turn over some old material.

I still have my old turntable & it works really well. Now I just need to find a place that sells sleeves to put the records in. Some of these old sleeves are practically falling off or are torn up really bad. But as long as the record sounds good, that's all that matters!

We are here in the world and MAN is it COLD!!! You know I love it that way though!! No time to catch up...we leave for CP in a couple of minutes with dinner before and Illuminations after...I'm taking gloves and a winter coat!!
