Evening all I just got back from a kind of busy day here I had lunch with a friend, ran some errands, went out to my dad's for a while and now home. I may head out again with my brother and a few friends so who knows if I will be in or not tonight.

Thanks for those pics of the Betty Sketti dolls. I had honestly never seen those before (that I am aware of). Betty, I hope you aren't that skinny because if you were then I'd be worried about you

Jodie's going to the CP and having coffee and a beaver tail! I'm sooooooooo jealous!!! Gonna hafto put in my CP CD so I can at least pretend I'm there. Hmmmm.....got coffee, don't think the last 4 spritz cookies can make up for the beaver tail, though. Sigh..................

Jay, I never thought of checking the used books stores. Is that what Half Price Books is? In any case, I think I may have a new mission---checkout the books stores for records! And I'm right there with you on the sleeves. Some of mine are just 2 pieces of paper or cardboard, now!!! I bet that's something we could find on the 'net, though. So, the party's at your place once you get the jukebox installed, right?!!!

Marilyn, isn't there a sound or a smell or a picture that brings back a memory so strong, it's like you're there again? I guess it does sound a little crazy, but every time I hear that "smas Eve.....smas Eve.....smas Eve" skip in the record, it's like I'm about 8 years old again. I can see the whole living room--the furniture and lamps, the Christmas tree in the middle of the raised platform my dad made for my brother's Lionel train and the stockings hanging on the mantle. Then I can hear my dad yell "somebody go nudge that needle!!" It's just a really strong, precious memory. OK, I'm wierd......

Back from shopping As we were driving into the town that we chose for today what did DD spy but a Krispy Kreme shop!! Now how the heck did that show up without me hearing about it? That's only 3 in the state!! The first one was in all the papers. Made her day! Now she knows what she'll get on visits home. (I really only like them hot.)

Anyway....wrapping paper, cards and various other Christmassy items restocked as well as some thinking ahead for gifts .....and exchanges done

Ended up doing some shopping for DD too
Good thing......she had just bought a cute zip-up sweater, and then she discovered the cat (well, one of them) had peed on her shirt Not a happy girl!! Off to the bathroom to wash off and change into the new sweater!
She came home and yelled at them all!!

Hi all. Im not sure whats up with my desktop computer but it wont let me connect to AOL. Im on the laptop now and on my main line into the house. We are waiting for a call from my inlaws about some hairbrained scheme they have set up for tomorrow. Get this they think it would be WONDERFUL for all of us to go on an airboat ride!!!!! I get sick on dry land Im not about to tempt fate and get on a boat!!! What kills me is they KNOW this and they still dont care. Its what the other brother wants to do!! We are going to tell them we will meet them for a bit at their house, exchange gifts with the rest of the family and then beat a hasty retreat and let them go on the airboat. Then they can do what they want to do and we can get to Disney just that much sooner. I cant help but laugh everytime I think of airboat. What would EVER give them the idea I would agree to that?????

Jodie its so good to hear from you!! I cant wait to see you on the 30th!!!! Barring anything weird happening we will be there!!!

Beth what an exquisit angel!!!! I love angels and I collect them. You gave me an idea of what to ask dh for for our 20th!!

Bwahahahahahahaha!!! I knew Marilyn had awesome aim and an evil attitude to go with it! The boss called me today to tell me she thought about it, and she was a ***** yesterday and was really sorry. She even shared that she has some things going on in her personal life and that she took them out on me. Not at all appropriate, but she did at least apologize.

Sherry! Cute nephew! What do you mean you only got 3-4" of snow!!! We have more than that here, and you ALWAYS get more in Cleveland! Problem is that the snow is so light that it is blowing and drifting.

Beth, your doll is beautiful and I don't get into dolls either. We will see if someone is skimming and just doesn't want to ketchup, purple or otherwise. Betty definitely needs a betty spaghetti doll, I wonder if they do make one with lime green hair? If not, we could probably figure out a way.....wheels turning...uh oh...watch out...Bonnie's thinking again......

Jay, thought of you when I saw an article in the paper about a family whose teenage son was killed and he had an extensive Star Wars collection. They are selling it piece by piece on Ebay in order to fund a scholarship in his name. His friends are catalogueing it, and posting it on Ebay.

More family coming over in awhile to do a combination birthday thingy for Tom and Cam. *Sigh* More sitting around the table eating things I shouldn't/don't wanna eat.... bleh. I feel like such a icko blimpo these days.

Ya know what I really hate? Shutting your hair in the car door...especially when you don't know you shut your hair in the car door and you try to turn your head to talk to your husband sitting in the driver's seat. Owwwwww!

Hey Jodie!!! Ooooh brrrr.... I can just feel that cold as I sit here thinking of you at the CP. Our one night at Epcot was FREEZING!!! Well... at least to this wimpy California girl it was freezing.

Sigh.... no time for a proper ketchup... family will be here in 20. Ugh. Don't feel like doing the family thing tonight. I'm still bored, still depressed, still.... eeeeh... I dunno what I am.

I know exactly what you are talking about! My memories usually stem back to when we lived in the "caboose". It can be music, something someone says, something I see on TV that can really spark a vivid childhood memory. It's great to have memories like that.

(And I only called you wierd because sisters are supposed call sisters things like that....so there! Neener, neener, neener)

Marilyn picks up a pillow and whips it at Beth and gets her right in the back of the head. Marilyn now runs up the lodge stairs and locks herself in her room. I just know she will retaliate. She's like that you know)
