Just talked to my SIL and my MIL went in for surgery (gastric bypass) at 8. If you could, could you just send some PD & good thoughts for her.

Pam that is horrible about your friend. I've never met anyone who'd lost their house in a fire, I just can't even begin to imagine.

And for you Sherry, loads of good thoughts on behalf of your MIL.

I also want to second what Elaine said to Beccy...ignoring is never intentional. There 're just so many folks here and they're all so mothy. I always end up missing a comment or two(or more) that I wanted to make and by the time I reread and remember...the conversation has shifted completely. My apologies too...never meant to ignore.

Good morning everyone. Hope ya'll are having a good morning so far. Dont'cha just hate it when a little case of the blues jumps on you and you don't even know what's causing it!? Bleh. Oh well... I'll get over it. I think part of it is feeling so behind where Christmas is concerned and I can't seem to get in gear even now. Whine whine whine... ok, I'm done now!

Pam! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's home!! How awful!! Do they know yet what caused it? That's terrible! I wish there was something we could all do for them.

Ha! I'm glad Jeannie said it so I didn't have to. LOL! I knew MJ and Todd weren't married, but couldn't figure out their locations. Guess I should've paid a little closer attention to those geography lessons in school.

Oh I hate that! When did Beccy say she felt ignored?? I missed that post! I HATE that feeling!! Beccy, you know I love your posts... if you've felt ignored here at the YaYa house, I assure you it wasn't intentional. It's so easy to get lost in the shuffle around here especially when everyone is in the lodge together. Just yell a lot... or pout like I do.

Sherry, I'd be very interested in hearing how your MIL's surgery goes and what the recovery is like. My mother is looking into the surgery and I'm very nervous about it. I'll certainly keep your MIL in my thoughts and prayers today.

Waaaah!!!! Jennifer took all of her Apolo references out of her sig. Now I really am depressed. Sigh... maybe I should come home and work on finding a new pic for my sig. to cheer me up.


Time to take Cam to school, go grocery shopping and try to force myself to do a little Christmas shopping. Bleh... don't want to.

Thanks for the PD & good thoughts! MIL got out of surgery around 10:45 or so and everything went really well. She will be in recovery until noonish, then moved to a room.

Kim, I will keep you posted on how her recovery, etc. goes.

Just peeking in before my 11:30 meeting (yep that's right 11:30... that's my lunch time *sigh*) and I had to wish your MIL a speedy and complete recovery Sherry. Sorry I didn't see it earlier or I would have kept her in my prayers this morning. Keep us posted on how her recovery goes.

Good morning, all! My apologies to anyone I have ignored, too. (I would never ignore anyone who liked Jonathan Frakes, anyway, Beccy!!! Are you a Star Trek lover, too? Or just Jonathan?) But, I have such a problem getting people all mixed up and I forget who said what! And since I'm still stuck with dial up at home, it's very hard to open additional windows so I can go back and re-read to address different things. Here at work is a little easier, but I need to do some actual work sometimes, too. Don't be surprised if I totally disappear some days during tax season. My heart will still be with the Ya Yas!!

I keep forgetting to say that I just love your hair, Sherry! The cut, the color, everything! It's so cute! And, Michele, your DH obviously doesn't know what a Lesbo cop cut actually looks like. Your cut is very cute and quite feminine in my opinion!

Pam, I am so sorry to hear about your friend's house. Let me add my prayers for her and her family, as well. Fires are so devastating.....once, on the way home from work, I passed a burning house and burst into tears. I had no idea who lived there, but seeing the whole back of the house totally engulfed and knowing someone's home was being destroyed just really affected me deeply.

Prayers going out for your MIL, too, Sherry. Surgery of any kind makes me soooo nervous.

Jennifer, I'm so sorry the coyotes are bothering you. Try to think of it as singing??!! LOL!!!

Kim, I'm with you on the Christmas thing. We got the big tree decorated last night. Now have to clean up the living room and get all the boxes put away. Maybe DH will get that done today since he's off work. I can hope anyway. But, I'm behind on my shopping too. Got the stuff for the angel tree kids at church, but none of my personal shopping is done. I can't seem to get into gear for it, either. By the way, have you considered hiring a bodyguard for Cam, or at least a personal attorney??!!! He's gonna be a lady killer, that boy!!! What a cutie!

Back to work for awhile--I know I've missed some people. Hi, howareya and goodtoseeya to all!

The coyotes serenade us all year long. I hate it in the summer when the windows are open and you can hear them fighting for the kill one of them made. Ewwww. That gives me chills.

Sherry, I'm so relieved to hear your MIL is out of surgery. This whole thing has me so nervous! I know my mother needs to get the weight off...her health isn't good and the weight issue compounds the problem...she was born with only partial use of one lung so being heavy is NOT a good thing, BUT because of her health issues, surgery is very risky in her case. *Sigh* A very messy vicious circle.

Awww... thank you Beth. I've always thought he was kinda cute. I'll never forget the first time I saw two little girls looking at him. We were in a yogurt shop. They were seated at the next table... they stared and giggled for 20 min. before finally leaving. They stood outside the front of store and continued to stare and giggle until he jumped up, ran out there and yelled: WHAT!?!?! They screamed and ran around behind the store. LOL!

Well, I've yet to put a single Christmas decoration up. I REFUSE to do very much until Tom shampoos the living room and family room carpet. I HATE decorating on top of ick. I'm also afraid to put the tree up because I know the crazy kitten is going to immediately jump into the middle of it. She will climb or jump into anything.... yesterday it was the refrigerator and the dryer. A couple days ago, she fell in the toilet and jumped onto the hot wood stove.

Beth, do you have the Next Generation on DVD? I want to buy all of them for Cam so bad, but geesh...they're expensive!!

Ok.... I'm tearing myself away from here to go do some housework. I've got to get this house clean and get it decorated before Christmas is over!

Hey, Sis!! How can you possibly be boring today??!!! You were the life of the party last week!!! How many times you made people smile! How many little kids you quieted on the bus just by letting them hold you! Even Michele's Petite Ya Ya calmed down when we went to ride Dinosaur when I let her hold you! She didn't change her mind about riding, but she DID settle down to just sniffling!! Virtual you had a magic touch, for sure!!! Now , you are loved!!!

Amen and ditto! No, Jeannie, I got news that I would be getting a raise in January. Now I am up for a promotion. I should know before Christmas.

I have been busy with real life and getting ready for the holidays as well as with work. I imagine that I won't be around much till after Christmas and the New Year's.

I hope Clay is voted off Jeannie! I can't stand him!
