That Alaska Airlines story is too much!!! ROFLMAO!!!!! The worst part is, I lived in Alaska for 4 years, flew that airlines several times and they were NEVER funny then!!!

Speaking of Alaska.....Pam, my ex was a hunter/fisherman. When we lived in Alaska, venison, salmon, crab and spring bear were our staples. I was stunned at how good the bear was! Used to make a stroganoff with mushrooms that would stand up to beef stroganoff any day! I used to keep a menu on my fridge so I knew what to take out to defrost before I went to work. Vistors always questioned Bear Balls!!!! LOL!!!! Hey, YOU eat spaghetti and meatballs all the time, too, don't you?! The best was the moose he shot on the airport runway one winter! How I laughed over your moose here because I've already had moose stew and it was great!!

Oh, Marilyn!!! I would be spitting fire over that directory!! Talk about total disrespect for their employees' privacy! Whatever happened to "need to know" rules??!! YEESH!!!

Ranch DUDEs have definite possibility!! Should we re-think the beach house?? Maybe it could be a California ranch and our "spread" could go all the way to the Pacific??!!!!! Horseback riding on the beach is COOL!!!!

Hope all you movie goers enjoyed your movies today. I'm off to see if there are any Episode 2 left at our local TRU. DH has to work tomorrow, I have choir practice for the Christmas contata, but my afternoon is free. I just might take myself to see HP!!!
So, off to play in traffic for now.

Just popped in real quick before the shower and work...

Pam, the boys are 11 and 13. They are having a basketball shoot out tonight. All the grade schools are at the high school before their game to be introduced and show off their skills. Should be pretty interesting since the youngest has trouble thinking and running at the same time...kinda like damom.

Dream...excellent story about Alaska airline. I have heard cute things on Southwest, no time now to repeat but similar to the above.

OOOOhhhh...dude ranch. Men in jeans and chaps...oh...I better stop. I can't get too hot now...the unit at work is hot enough without me being overheated before I get there.

OOOOhhh...think about the rolls in the hay with the ranch hands. Mmmmm.

Jennifer got a new tv?!? What did you get? We bought a new one last year. It's a flat screen HD/wide screen... not that I ever watch it, but the guys seem to enjoy their MASH DVDs on it.

I'm not sure what the tv is...a 27" something. It's for the girls play room. THe one in there blinks on and off for an hour before it "warms up". It drove Ed crazy and Paige has taken to watching the one in my knitting room (which is only there because it's the car one and that's where it is stored, I rarely use it) It's been just a little annoying having to watch Mary Kate and Ashley and the like when I want to use my desk or knit.

The movie was GREAT!! And the time flew by.
I was surprised by how full the theater was so early on a weekday....mostly adults but a few school age children!

Two boys that looked so cute (probably 7 or 8 years old). Dressed as Harry Potter.
One had the scarf and robe and wand....glasses, same hair style.
The other pretty much the same except no scarf....but the scar!! Too cute!!

What I thought was going to be a horrible day turned out to be a really good one!! I started out this morning feeling very yuccky at work. Dh called me and told me that they were getting a stipend within about two weeks!!! Money we didnt know about and didnt expect!!! I had a really nice lunch with my eldest at school, When I got back to work I mangaged to get all the bills paid for the month before lunch was over, Dh was able to get to and tape my sons performance today that I couldnt go to, AND ds got his report card and got ALL A's!!!! I am SO proud of him!!!! We let him choose dinner tonight. Just had a wonderful dinner of McDonalds....my poor stomach ROFL. We are also going to go and see The Santa Clause II over the weekend. I dont think we are going to try and brave Harry Potter this weekend though.

Marilyn I would be FURIOUS if my number was given out. I dont blame you for complaining to your boss.

Jennifer....I hate waiting for delivery people!! They never sem to show up on time
We're having some trees and bushes trimmed sometime this winter (electric company is doing it) and I told the woman that came out to walk around, that I wanted a call to tell me when.....so I would be ready (can't get out with their trucks on the road)......do you think they will? .....I doubt it.

Okay I admit, I took a nap after work... I really did mean to come in here and catch up on you all but I fell asleep for nearly 1 1/2 hours How's that for you?? Well now all I need to do is eat dinner and life will be good!

Marilyn, I would be very very upset too if they did that with my number... and I am even in the phone book!!! I'm glad they don't do that here because I would not want everyone to know my personal cell number I gave in case they need to call us in (I work in telecom and if need be during emergencies I can reroute phone & data circuits so they come back up again... this is all on the computers though so we have some who do the physical chages after we tell them to)

Okay, I gotta say..... Episode 2 on Imax was toooooo *COOL*!! Only thing is they had to cut it down a bit. Some cuts I didn't mind (the prairie scene), but some of the others I didn't think should be cut. I know the reason they had to cut so much, but to be honest, it works both ways. FYI, I lost count at 10 for the cuts/edits. Not sure if I could remember and name all 10, but I could tell you the biggies. A few of those were scenes where they just cut dialogue, not the whole scene. All in all, too cool on the bigbigbig screen!!

We bought a new one last year. It's a flat screen HD/wide screen...

I'll give you *one* guess what I'd be watching on it. I like MASH, but that's not it.

Harry Potter was awesome!
The boys were soo excited when they found out we were going to see it. They LOVED it.
Time really did seem to fly by.
Nancy, last year at the first movie, my now 10 yo dressed up in HP glasses, Gryffindor shirt, Gryffindor robe, and had the lightning bolt on his forehead. (He was HP for Halloween!) The other 3 took their stuffed Hedwig, Fluffy, and Scabbers!
After the movie we did some shopping for some b-day parties we have this weekend, then ate dinner at Red Lobster. It was a really nice family day.

Kim, the lead singer of Third Day is Mac Powell. Love his voice!

Jay!!! Thank you so much for the TRU suggestion! I got it and my DH was so surprised!!! Down side is that they sold out of the wide screen version the first day and don't know when they'll be getting more in. Today's shipment was all full screen, so I settled for that. Now just gotta wait for DH to get home so we can watch!!!

Kim---the bearskins are for the den at the new place!! Not allowed to play on them till they get installed in the new den! Which, I might add, is part of the Carol/Marilyn/Beth suite. Once we get the bar moved in, the disco ball and laser lights installed, and the surround sound hooked up, we'll have a "housewarming" party and you'll get to wiggle your toes in the rugs then. Until then......NO-NO-NO!!!

Mel, would you and Richard Dean please get these rolled up and wrapped for the move? I really don't want them to get messed up before we go and you know how Kim is with food......)
