Hi everyone!!!! Sorry Ive been kinda MIA lately. Its been a wicked busy week with my eldest ds's extracurricular activities, his hissy fitting due to his ADHD and my stomach.

Elaine the time you picked for lunch sounds fine. We can eat anytime. We will probably be at AK early as I would love to meet the whole group that is meeting there at 9:00 AM. Hi everyone! Just popping in for lunch.

Hey, how many Ya Ya's have Christmas decorations up yet? I would have liked to started, but probably won't till the weekend after Thanksgiving. Last night I saw 2 houses in my neighborhood that are already all lit up, plus one that's done, but the lights were off. Anyone remember the Griswolds? That's what these all looked like. LOL! Sooooooo.... to get in the spirit, I just started watching one of the best and greatest Christmas movies of all time: A Christmas Story. Ahhhh.... It's just *tooooo* funny!! What do I want for Christmas? Why, an official Red Ryder carbine action 200 shot range model air rifle, of course!

A moose as our mascot? Or do you mean mousse?

And antlers??? Are you any relation to Gaston???

Kim just left. Bonnie. Where's the film of her and Jay on the beach? We'll tell Kim and Jay we are going to show Star Wars.

Hmmm... Nothing to see on that film. Just meteors. Lots and lots of meteors. Celestial fireworks, really. Lots and lots of fireworks. Yep, that's it. Just fireworks. Lots and lots and lots of em.

A Christmas Story!!!!

That movie is our families guilty little secret!!! WE LOVE IT....nothing better than watching the TNT Christmas Story marathon on Christmas day!!!!!

Decorations aren't up yet. Everything goes up the day after Thanksgiving here. THen we get our tree that Saturday and decorate Sunday.

I'm glad you liked everything!! Did the pickle arrive in one piece? I was worried about how that would travel. The moose I found on Sunday - I started to laugh hysterically in the store - people were looking at me strangely, but that's nothing new!! The engraver was like, "OK....." when I told her I wanted YaYas on it!

ROFL Beth. Those are great mooses (meeses?) Any one of them would be good.

We usually put the lights up around the gutters and peak when Indian Summer hits (but we son't light them), but no Indian Summer this year. Guess DH will have to do it weekend after Thanksgiving. That's also when I decorate the tree.

Pam, I'm in the will? Cool, but I'm not getting the antlers am I?. AWANA-Approved Workmen are Not Ashamed 2 Timothy 2:15. Totally gospel led memory work for kids. Starts at age 3 and goes all the way to high school. I happen to be the Director of 1 & 2 Grade Sparks (what they are called). Kids love it, they do a craft, memorize and recite verses, have game time where they run around like maniacs, and then listen to a story about Sparky and his friends going through the different books. My DD's love it.

My vote is for the first moose. He was very cute.

We usually start Dec. 1.......but this year, I don't know. We leave the 3rd.....and the cats will be home alone
so probably minimal before we come back. This year not as much as usual...not enough time....but going to WDW is worth it

I have started watching Christmas movies though.....including Christmas story and Christmas Vacation!! hehehe....gotta get in the "mood"

I'm so bummed......I don't want to bore you, but my recipe program did something weird today....and NOT good.
I seemed to have lost recipes.....100s.......so much work all gone.
And I don't know why. It was fine this morning and then when I was posting to a group this afternoon, i noticed one of the cookbooks was about 400 recipes short Majorly bummed!!

Now I can admit to having it on while opening presents last year (kids turned it on when they got up and we left it) and that it is in the background of most all the christmas video we have from the last 3 years at least!!! Hi all! I am back from a nice relaxing afternoon with my co-workers at Dave & Busters. We went there for some time off and just to relax.

I have to vote for the first moose... not fond of the second one at all really! Plus I always associate it with another DISer on the boards so I'd prefer to be oringinal

Christmas decorations aren't up at all yet. I might do some this weekend though (indoor only) since if I don't do them before my trip, they will never get done! But I admit I love Christmas Vacation as well. I love my furbabies but I admit I crack up every time I see the cat eating the lights (I'm twisted, I know)

Well since a bunch of us think we'll be there early on AK day, I think we can meet up somewhere around opening time if you all like. I wish I had a good way to let people know it is me, but you've all seen pictures of me right? If not, I can post one. Also I think you all should know what Dan Murphy looks like, right? Well he will be with me a lot of my trip, so if you are looking for me, you might want to look for him first since he is a tad easier to spot being that he has about 1 1/2 feet on me. Otherwise I will have green ribbons and all that on my purse or backpack (whichever I carry). Nothing else will be terribly special about me to look for.

Welllll......... when my two teens were younger, I must confess that they did get their mouths washed with soap a couple of times! Once while we were on vacation, they were being very nasty to each other, name-calling and telling each other to shut up. I got so mad that I turned around (I was not driving! *lol*) and told them when we got to the hotel they were getting soap in their mouths. So a couple of hours later we check in and my DS goes right into the bathroom and stands and stands and stands. Finally, he comes out and gets me to wash his and his sister's mouths. My DD was calling him a dork and telling him that he was stupid to remind me, which of course earned her extra soap!!

So sorry to hear about your recipes. But, my Mom (who has Lupus) called me today and told me to come out and get my Lucky Cakes. I told her I was so hungry for those and here she had the recipe and got up this morning and made them for me. I am still Mommy's Girl, even at age 41! She's the greatest!!
