The Last to Post-2nd Edition - Part 3

Intermediate to advance.
Last time I went skiing and took lessons, I was graded into a Level 2 class. It took me all of 30 minutes to realise that whilst my technique might be good enough, my nerves are not. I prefer being at a Level 3 class personally.

I could recommend some hills. Does DH ski too? Is he level 1?

I base where I ski on snow and challenge. But some people don't want to ski steep moguls or through trees like me and I realize that.

Good night all twilight is coming. Hope we are all on earth after it.

DH gets graded into Level 3 but he's more adventurous than me; so he's happy to go down the more challenging runs.

We ski trees in Oz. I like moguls on the blue runs; but not on the black ones.

I don't get it! :confused3 I'm way to tired and going to bed, but don't understand. Why wouldn't you want to go to DL?

Good night Alison! Sleep well.

(You would want to go to DL...but if you weren't being a true friend, you would send them to Knotts. Skiingfast wants to send me to Colorado; not Jackson Hole and he is being a true friend in that analogy...).

Falling is part of skiing so don't worry. I've had tons of chairlift mishaps. Of couse I've probably been on about 20,000 chairlift rides.

But for beginners, getting on and off lifts is harder than skiing.
I agree. One of the many reasons skiing in Australia is intolerable.
1 - bad snow which is either ice or slush and about a 30cm base.
2 - too many beginners and too many T bars which are a NIGHTMARE for beginners
3 - It's a damn ripoff!!! over $100 a day for a lift ticket on substandard lifts and snow. Plus ridiculously expensive accommodation.

And we won't even mention stopping. :thumbsup2
:rotfl2::rotfl2:
No....don't mention stopping :rolleyes1

I'm a reasonable skier but I'm too hesitant I think. I love big open bowls. With occasional soft powdery bypasses to get to another run.
I like somewhere with a REAL green run from most lifts. Not just the 'easiest way down'. So I can do some blue but cut in green as well. I don't do black.

What I love in the US and Canada is the 6yos who fly down the mountain without poles :scared1::lmao:

It's a kin to.....Friend don't let Friends go to DL they send them to Knotts.

I'm sure it's very clever but I don't get it either. :confused3

Dinner time. I should be on the Dis tonight...going to be working on the next installment of the TR....

Today we need to cut cardboard and tape music to it. This afternoon we are volunteering at the festival selling beverage tickets.

We never left. One of our friends who was working the 11AM volunteer shift called me (because when something goes wrong, they always think I'm the one who can fix it! :rotfl2:), she said they didn't have our group on the list for volunteers. We were supposed to be there at 2:30 and if they didn't know about our group, we decided we had better things to do.

Besides Fran was having some problems.

I see you tiptoeing around there!

SO I feel popular, the bandwidth on my photo bucket account has almost reached it's limit. I opened another today and I'm uploading about 300 pics for the TR.

I would love to sit in the court room, but reality check hit, this is better than a soap opera:rotfl2:

Last. Is there a lot I need to catch up on from yesterday?
