Alison are you OCD?

Not only that but my Old Fogie brain can't always remember if I've seen a show from the title and blurb. I have a worksheet for each show and a master worksheet where I list all the shows we have yet to watch (which looks up from the individual show worksheets). The master also lists any shows we need to watch (accidentally deleted, preempted by sports, TIVO didn't record, etc) so if the TIVO catches them we are on the lookout.

Once we watch the new shows I delete the row from the Master, but I have a record we watched it on the individual show worksheet. Is that OCD? :rotfl2:

Yes. :lmao:

The CSI Long Beach is mine and Fran's joke because they film so much of it here. Is the long running storyline you're talking about with Dr Langston?

We watch all those shows Vegas, Miami, NY. They're all filmed in LA. In fact we watch so many shows I have a spreadsheet to keep track of them all! :lmao:
Yes Dr Langston. The one with the creepy serial killer. Think we are finally getting the conclusion next week.
I guess it makes sense most is filmed in LA but they do a decent job of convincing you that you are in whichever city you 'should' be in with splicing file footage and location footage.

Zoinks!!! That's true OCD.
I should try something like that here as the stations in Australia treat the viewer with absolute contempt. They start and stop shows mid season. They take random breaks. They say sometimes "straight after screening in the US" and then after a few weeks it disappears
It's a flippin nightmare trying to watch a series on commercial TV here. But I'm not wasting time and money on downloads.

It's REALLY hard with shows like Fringe because they are so complex and entwined storylines. Love it but I'm going to have to buy the DVDs and rewatch at some point. They actually just skipped an episode this week :confused3

At least with CSI if you miss an ep it really doesn't matter. Certainly with Mr Sunglasses. Same with L&O which is one of my favourite shows.
Think we're finally getting some House episodes again next week but who knows when Modern Family will return

We still have to watch the episodes from 4/28, 5/5 and possibly others (that I haven't catalogued yet), so I think we're only at the beginning of the creepy serial killer story. I know something funky has been going on with Langston, but maybe that's another story....

We started the spreadsheet when Fran got her hip replaced and we started to watch NCIS (in the 5th or 6th season). We were watching reruns on USA trying to catch up, plus trying to watch the new ones on NBC, after about a year we couldn't remember which episodes we had seen or not. We started to log the ones we had seen. Then Fran would watch TV shows when I was asleep and delete them by accident, so I started to keep track of them so I wouldn't miss episodes.

Because I used to design databases for a living and do market research analysis I couldn't help but use Excel to it's fullest for this need!

I think if you miss an episode of CSI, it's big. They always have something going on from show to show and when you miss one you wonder how so and so got pregnant, or why Delco and Callie aren't together any more, or what happened to Sarah and why she isn't with Grissom.

Sorry you don't get Modern Family regularly there in Australia, we just watched the one about "who will care for Lilly?" tonight. I just love the fact that they treat Cam and Mitchell as a "regular couple" that are just as crazy as the next one and not because they are gay, just because all people are weird. But they do have the right balance of exploiting gay culture, especially with the way they dress up Lilly and make her dress up as gay icons for photo ops! :lmao:

Ah good ol NCIS. CSI for dyslexics :lmao: :rotfl2: We've been watching it from the beginning. I love the LA version too because it also doesn't take itself too seriously while still maintaining interesting and dramatic storylines. And it is definitely not a duplicate.
Channel 10 (the commercial network with it here) has actually been fairly good with it. They change the times and in the beginning they were shifting it a lot. But I think someone at the network really likes it so it usually hangs around reasonably. :cool1:

When Modern Family was a raging hit in the US we got it and they were putting it on regularly. Then they went to repeats. Then poof it was gone. Who knows when we'll see it return.
I LOVE Cam and Mitchell. Yes they're gay but they're nuts anyway. I really think they blend it well. I don't care what team you bat for as long as you're loving and caring. I really love Manny too...and his interactions with Luke :lmao:
Phil sends me bonkers though. He's not the same...but there's certain traits in him like my own father which make us chalk and cheese at times.

I do see your point on CSI...but it's certainly not as crucial as other shows. They've repeated a few times why Sarah isn't 'with' Grissom at the moment.
I do love how "That's our Dino" is going grey :lmao: ahh...love him as a character.

I think the biggest killer of getting a decent range of shows on our networks is that the rubbish called "Masterchef" is on nearly every night. Then there's the stupid football. Neither of which the other networks like to compete against...AND it's on Channel Ten which holds NCIS and House hostage. :confused3

Queenie,
Good points and I agree, but now passing out. I think the five day whirlwind trip just caught up with me. So any expression I exhibit is subdued from reality.

Must go to bed now!

Yup. Although there is a chance that the doomsayers are right and the end of the world is nigh....like tomorrow. LAST chance to get LAST in...

What about you?

Nothing tomorrow. Yum cha and maybe pirates movie Sunday. Going to the snow travel expo first before meeting friends too. Contest to win a trip to Big White ;)

The end is nigh? Ok. Let me know how it ends...

right now....it ends with me saying it is bedtime at last!

Have a good day tomorrow.

See now that's the question, when the world comes to an end, what time zone wil it happen? I think it's already Saturday there and the world hasn't ended!

Thought you might find this interesting from the court room some spectator yelled out in court and carrying her shoes. She still killed somebody. Judge gave her two days in jail:scared1:
