WOW!!! 300:eek: -I didn't even come close to that when we went for our 2 day weekend in Feb!!!

Well, the final tally is 371 pics for this trip! I let both the boys take the camera at times, and they tend to snap a lot. Of course, so do I! :teeth:

I cannot imagine what we will do for the July trip, when we are there for 2 weeks! :scared:

then I should either be embarrassed, or I may be an over achiever b/c I took way more then that in November:rotfl:

I wouldn't be embarrassed. For whatever reason, the boys slowed down with the pics on Day 2. We also didn't take the camera to dinner at California Grill. Since this was our anniversary dinner, we just wanted to relax and not worry about pics.

How many days was your trip in November?

So OK. Let’s start.

If you don’t already know us:

Me, 49 year old Disney fanatic and lover!! Huge Goofy fan, would live at Disney on Main Street if they would let me.
DW, Donna, also Disney fanatic and lover! Huge Eeyore fan, and would also love to live on Main Steet!
DS17, James, typical teenager. Looking to go into the military when he graduates from HS next year. Is OK with Disney, but not like us.
DS15, Garrett, also typical teen. Wants to go into computer graphics or web design. Is thinking about the AF after HS in a few years to help pay for college. Is also just OK with Disney, at least outwardly, but I think he really likes it!

I'm uploading pics, so more in a few minutes.

Now I feel really silly, for a three day weekend in September I took almost 900 (889 to be exact) shots and about 3 hours of Video --

YES I AM A GEEK!!!

wow wonder what I'll do next month solo with no one stopping me telling me I am a dork for taking pictures of windows and garbage cans!!! :rotfl:

So, we left Sunday morning at 7 am for the airport. :drive: We had heard that long-term parking usually filled up over Spring Break, so we wanted to leave early just in case. We had no problem parking, and went through security without a hitch. Flight was uneventful, and we arrived on time on Orlando!!! Yay!!! We’re here!! :woohoo:

We had chosen to try Disney’s Magical Express this time, since it was a short trip, and we just didn’t want to spend the money for a rental car. Check-in line was pretty long, but with 15 Disney CMs, it went quite fast. Waited maybe 15 minutes for the bus, and off we went to Saratoga Springs!!! :cool1:

We arrived and checked in quickly. We had requested Grandstand and they we were, with the room ready to go! They gave us our anniversary pins for the trip, and off we went to explore. We had already decided that we were just doing pools and Downtown Disney today. No parks til tomorrow.

Room looked great! We were in a 1-bedroom this time. Very nice. Full kitchen, separate Master Bedroom, plenty of room for everyone. :thumbsup2

Here is our building.

The view from our balcony! We could see a Treehouse Villa across the way. It was so very quiet at night! Beautiful!

We had thought we were going to take the boat over to DD, but when we got there, a sign said that it was closed for refurbishment?!?!? Nowhere did they mention that, darn it. Oh well, walked to the bus stop, and took the bus. :confused3

BTW, we had great luck with the busses the entire trip. I don’t think we ever waited more than 10 minutes for one, and a few times, it was less than 2!! I know people talk about how bad they can be, but in 2 trips now, we have not had any problems at all. :)

The boys had never been to DD, so it was a first for them (we actually had a LOT of firsts on this trip, but more on that later). We were hungry, so… Earl of Sandwich!! We had never eaten there, and had heard good things about it, so off we went. What a good sandwich!!! Our youngest is picky, so he wasn’t crazy about it, but the rest of us loved ‘em! That will be a return spot!

After that, we decided a margarita was in order!! Oh, was it ever awesome!! :yay:

DisneyMar08058.jpg

We took in the rest of the Marketplace, did some browsing, but no purchases today.

The boys then wanted to head to the pool, so back to the resort and some needed swimming and relaxing (of course I had another margarita by the pool!) Our luggage had arrived, magically, in our room, so we were good to go! And you know, we forgot pictures of the pool this trip?!?!? We were tired, so that's my only excuse. :p

So tired and wet, we decided to call it a day. Next morning was EMH at Magic Kingdom, and we wanted to get there early. We had an ADR at Crystal Palace at 8, so wanted to do a few things prior, when the parks are less crowded.

More later!!!

Morning, Pam! :wave2:

Well, I probably would've taken more, but the boys were calling me "tourist" and "camera geek", so I slacked off a bit. Of course, when they had the camera, it was OK to take pics. :confused3 I think our oldest took over 100 of them! :lmao:

great pics Kevin.

Sorry about your step father in law's passing.

Kim--- we have the flu here -- yuckie-- Grandma in hospital, Dad in Hospital, and now just trying not to get it myself!!!

I've been over on the Trip Reports board for the last few days trying to get ideas for my trip. This is the first time I have gone (as an adult) that i haven't had a "plan" -- well, I do have two dinners planned -- but no real battle plan. this is also the first time I have gone solo, so I think I am now starting to get a little nervous.

Hearing the begining of your TR is making me excited!!! so I hope you continue with .... the rest of the story!!!

only a couple days left of spring break, and I have done nothing!!!

We love the planning part as well. We really consider it to be part of the trip. I know some people really like to just "wing it", but we think some things, like ADRs, have to be planned. Plans can change, and we are OK with that, but we like a starting point, at least. :thumbsup2

We did "some" planning for this last trip. We had 3 ADRs, and we had an idea of a few attractions in each park that we didn't want to miss, but for the most part, we just played each day by how we were feeling.

We have already done a lot more planning for our July trip (we have 15 ADRs already, and will probably add a few more!). We already have ressies for a KTTK tour and the Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT. DW's mother and grandmother are coming to Saratoga Springs for 3 days to join us as well. We have a few special things planned for those days (which I will talk about later!) Only 4 more months til our next trip!! :woohoo:

Oh yes, I do plan on telling more. I have some errands I have to get done today, so next installment will probably be tomorrow morning. :goodvibes

instead of a touring plan, I am making a checklist of things I want to do, like see mickey, have a dole whip, take a ton of pictures..... ;)

Is it just me or are there a MILLION Disney commercials on TV lately??? no matter what channel, or what time of day there is a Disney Commercial!!! :happytv:

DW and I were just mentioning that a few night ago. We probably see 3 or 4 a night.

With any luck we will have our trip plans firmed up this weekend.
