The Land/Garden Grill Update

Just saw this posted on another thread and thought it would help people to not worry so much about GG reopening. These are pictures of The Land right now (4 pages) and they include pictures of GG....so no more worries that it won't reopen for some reason. It's there and looks nice!! We just have to wait for them to open it back up!

Thank you for the update, we missed the Garden Grill on our last trip and definitely wanted to hit it on our trip in Oct. I was so worried it was closed for good. My kids will be so happy to hear it will reopen!

We rode Soarin' last night and loved it, just as expected.
I like the new look of the Land. It made me realize how badly that area needed a rehab.
I kicked myself for not taking my camera last night. But plan on returning today!

Momof2 - Disney doesn't even know when yet. CMs just know it is closed indefinitely. The last that was posted on here was July 7, but then when it was time to make PS for that day, it was said "indefinitely". I haven't seen a post with a new date yet.

You still can't make PS yet. The Garden Grill does look great. Wonder what they mean on the menu about roasted meats and fresh seafood? Is the menu changing? I liked the old one... that was one of the main reasons we liked to eat there.

We went and rode Soarin this morning, and I asked a CM who was giving new CMs a tour of the Garden Grill, about the opening date. He said "indefinite," but I could tell that he knew but isn't allowed to say. Hmmm...

I just got back from WDW (and am getting caught up in message reading so this may be old news by now), but the times guide for Epcot shows, attractions, and restaurants for April 17-23 listed Garden Grill as being OPEN Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Walking by the GG on Friday, we commented that many Dis'ers would be pleased to see it reopening.

The sign now includes 'veggie' options

I sure hope it opens soon. This is one of our must-do restaurants each trip and my fingers are crossed that it will be open for our upcoming trip in June. After reading here on the DIS that it may reopen soon I called Disney Dining and told them that I had heard it was listed in the times guide as being open toward the end of the month and also that some people were told by those in management during the AP previews of Soarin' that everything in the building would be operational May 6th. The CM's reply was "we still had not been told anything about opening dates or when we could begin taking PS's. I'm sure that's what they have been told to say but I bet you it will open soon. I prefer to be optimistic!!!
