I just wanted to add that I am trying to socialize them all with our other pets. I have been taking the advice posted earlier in the thread about allowing the pther pets to check out the room while the Kitten family is out of there. I also have been allowing Shenzi out to explore when the house is quiet. She is very timid at this point, but interested in checking everything out.
I also have taken a few of the kittens to 'meet' the other animals in a strictly supervised situation in our gameroom. Zoe, our female cat, is showing interest from afar. I think she is afraid of them (or the mommy that she thinks 'may' be around).
Tucker, our male tabby, is VERY interested in them and he will get on top of them and hold them down to lick them. They just lay real still while he does it, but they don't cry or try to get away. And even after he lets go of them, they aren't afraid or anything. They will come back for more. Is this a dominance thing that he is doing? We are very careful to watch him closely so that he doesn't hurt them. That doesn't seem to be his intention, because he could have the first time if he wanted to. I am just curious as to why he does it?
Anyone have any experience in this?
