The kindness of DISers

There is a very special DISer who has been doing some really really nice things for me and DS in preparation for our upcoming trip to WDW (did I mention I am leaving 2 weeks from tomorrow? ).

Well, DS got a letter today from one of his favorite characters. The letter is taped up on his wall, next to his bed, so he can look at it. We have read it to him about 5 times (he is on his way to commiting it to memory), and it is just one more thing that is helping DS 'Catch the Magic'. DH is severely Disney-Impaired, so I have to cling to DS on this

So I just wanted to say "THANKS" You rock, you are the best, and you are really helping make a little boy's first trip to the World extra Magical!

I truly 2nd the notion that DISers are the best. We have been the recipient of some of that special kindness too.

There are some truly generous and thoughtful people in this little "community". I know I have been blessed by the kindness of individuals here - MANY times.

Heck, they are kind just to put up with me! LOL!

That is so nice, Debbie. Yes, almost all the people here on the DIS are so very nice, helpful, courteous, respectful. Oftentimes I have been amazed at the kindness shown toward me and my family. So nice to hear, Debbie.

His excitement about Disney is outweighing his fear of flying. And we have been talking about going to the airport, walking through the gate, etc, I really think it will be fine.

His 2 favorites are Goofy and Buzz. With Mickey running a close 3rd.

Glad to hear he's looking forward to the trip.

I don't know if this will come in handy, but if you're telling him all about going to the airport, etc. you can also tell him that Green has a full-size sailboat INSIDE the terminal. My kids get a big kick about that. If you're being dropped off on the departures level you can see the top when you first go inside. The main part of the boat is on the lower level where baggage claim is.

Thats so sweet! I tell ya I could sit with your son and hold his hand and have him hold mine too...lol. I've never flown in a big plane either and I would definatly be scared! But once he gets to Disney it will all go away! Disney is MAGIC!! Hope you have a Super Wonderful Time.
