the kids clubs and tips

do you tip the people at the kids clubs (ie. The Neverland Club)?

and if so, how much?

I personally havne't used the service, but I hear that it's really wonderful and the kids really like it. The one in particular I hear is particularly well-liked (and does include dinner) is the Never Land club at the Poly. It's definitely a service we intend on using a few years from now when our ds is older.

Here's the basics:

It's $10/hr. Dinner is usually included.
call 407-WDW-DINE to make reservations.
Cancellations must be at least 24 hrs in advance, otherwise there's a $15/child fee.

I do know a bunch about the neverland club as Ive booked my son there for our visit coming up

my question was whether I should leave a tip on top of the $10 an hour

Good Question. We also have a reservation at the WL club for our 2DDs. I have worked in after school programs and voluntered many hours with children. It may be different within the disney climate, but youth workers don't usually take tips. There just seems to be something "ify" about that. Kinda like tipping your nurse or surgeon. A caretaker shouldn't accept tips. A small gift maybe, but not cash. I would never have accepted a parent's tip. I suppose you can always ask when checking your child in "Is tipping approprite?" If you don't get first hand advice from this thread.

I've used the clubs several times; I've never seen anyone tip, and I'm not sure how you would do it anyway. The clubs have several staff members on duty, and they all circulate around helping the children. There are also sometimes shift changes during the evening, so the person who you spoke to when the child checked in may not still be there when he leaves.

I always thank the staff profusely and I insist that DS thank them, too. If the service was really special, I'll send a note to the hotel mgr. to say how pleased I was with the CM's.
