I just called up USO and told them about how Spiderman will get a key reader so hotel guests staying on-site like at the hard rock hotel and the portofino bay hotel will only be able to use front of the line acess once per day on it with their room key. So she said it peaked her curiousity and put me on hold to speak to guest services. When she came back she told me that she spoke to some guy named Milton and he is the head of guest services. Then told me it was just a rumor and guests staying on-site can use FOTL acess all day and every day!!!!! Yes, what a relief!!:jester: :jester: :p :p :bounce: :bounce:

I can assure you neither the Supervisor or the Manager of Guest Services at IOA nor USF is named "Milton."

If you don't believe us, fine. Although you might want to check the new wiring and electric boxes now installed at the Spiderman and River Adventure Express entrances.

CoasterFev unfortunately I believe you. We are arriving on the 14th of July so it figures that would be when a new restriction would start. I appreciate your inside info at least I know what to expect. Thanks

I believe you CoasterFev. I just hope they don't get it up and running by the first week in July. With the July 4 crowds I'd love to just keep going on the rides with FOTL.

First of all, why would Universal even put a scanner on River Adventure? There is hardly ever a wait. Not like spiderman! Where it kinda is neccessary. but I really don't think that there is any key reader on river adventure. And if there ever is one, they probably are most likely to put it on major attractions like the hulk or Dr. Doom. By the way there is a Guy named Milton who is the head of guest services!:p

Whats the point of arguing this?? Earl, CoasterFEV, and IOATech are the only ones here who really have any inside info on the parks operation. So why argue with them?? By the way, Jurassic Park is a major attraction - in fact it was one of the most anticipated rides when IOA first opened. As everyone on this board has seen in the past, Guest Services seems to be the LAST department to get news on policy changes (go figure?).

on every rumor i never think it is real till you actualy have constuction piles onsite. i never never expect any of this to come true. i mean hey how could anything ever get out of the tops of universal managment?

Rest assured the readers are coming. Guest Services is not going to have information on this to discuss with the public until they're installed and tested. If you remember when we first discussed that Express was coming, we all got called a bunch of liars because someone called and couldn't find out anything about it. Two weeks later is was here. Not to worry, the on-site hotel guests will still have the best access to the system. Just a little time and patience to work out the bugs so everyone has an opportunity. The biggest kink is working out the capacity issues. Rest assured that all said and done it will be the best Express access system in a theme park.

First of all, can someone explain this scanner reader stuff, and second, with these being installed, will FOTL be open to hotel guests still, or will you only have access to 1 express ride per day, or will it work kind of like fastpass, but only for hotel guests?

Joline

The key readers will eventually limit hotel guests to only using their key once per day per ride. You can do every ride using your key for Express access in a day still, but only once per day.
