The Jungle Cruise Damage

The Jungle Cruise is listed under closed for refurbishment from now to mid-March. So is this safe to say it will be definitely closed for our trip next month? Should we choose a different FP since we currently have The Jungle Cruise as a FP?

It's still showing up as a FP option in October. I would think if they didn't believe it would be done by then it would be removed from the choices.

I would leave your Jungle Cruise FP as is. If it is in fact closed on a day you have one selected, you may get it replaced with an anytime FP. The other option is they may change it to a random attraction FP that you don't need and you can always switch it at that point.

Wdwinfo has it listed as closed until 9/18, touring plans does not have an opening date listed just says closed for hurricane cleanup. March seems awfully long, I didn't think the damage was THAT bad. I would probably try giving Disney a call and see if they confirm that time frame for refurb.

I really hope it's not closed until March. We were very excited for Jingle Cruise :(

Wait a sec, I just checked the MDE App...Where does it say March? I just see it say "Closed for Refurbishment" but it doesn't say anything about until when.

My Disney Experience App under park hours and refurbishments.

I think you may be misreading the information. It does not explicitly say that JC is closed until March, only that it is closed. I don't believe picking the furthest date out in the app calendar necessarily means that JC is closed then. Trusting information like this from Disney sources for six months from now is a dodgy exercise in any case.

I would keep it as is. As PP mentioned, if it is closed on the day you have it scheduled, you will most likely be assigned an any-time FP+ that can be used on any of the MK rides (except 7DMT) at the time of your choosing - that's much more valuable, IMHO, than switching your FP+ out to something else for a specific time.

I didn't get a FP for Jungle Cruise in November, will do it at rope drop on one of our MK days, but I went back and checked and it gave me the option to get one for the week before Thanksgiving, when we are going. It must be going to be up and running soon.

If it's only closed for Irma clean-up, I'd imagine they'll do everything possible to have it running before the xmas season begins. Jingle Cruise is a huge draw. If FP's haven't been cancelled, I don't think it will be closed long at all.

That said, that's my assumption IF that's the reason it's closed.

Hurricane damage is definitely the reason it is currently closed. We just got back from WDW today. We rode it on Saturday the 9th, but when we were back in the park on the 12th, it was closed. I was chatting with a couple CMs that day and they said there was extensive hurricane damage.

It is not showing as a closed attraction on the Disney website for our trip from Oct 5-11.

This is the first day since Irma that the Lines App (TP) isn't showing JC as closed. Of course, it is showing the wait time as 0 minutes. We'll see what happens later. Anyone there today? I'm watching bc we have a FP for it on the 25th. My son who has never ridden it before, is really excited about it. I want to divert his attention to something else in case we can't ride, so I've been paying attention.
