I got an exclusive preview of the new DVC hold message: we are currently experienced a normal volume of calls, which means you'll wait on hold 2 hours because this is the new normal. Have a magical wait.
I mean you don't really *need* to make a reservation today. Everyone is experiencing the same thing. If you had a booking window opening today, everyone else trying to book is in the same situation you are.
4 day planned or unplanned outage of an e-commerce system is unacceptable. No doubt there is a clock ticking of lost revenue per minute.
However DVC Member Services is not an e-commerce system. Lack of availability during a planned outage is an inconvenience and not something to be going round firing people for. Who knows this might even be to ensure future changes can be applied much easier.
