i feel like a newbie at disboards. ok maybe not a newbie since this will be my 140th post, but not a vetern. some disboarders have over 10,000 posts. congrats to them but how in the world do you get that many? you must have been online all your life. i was excited when i hit 100. :D

it's kind of fun reading posts because you can get to know peopleand their opinions on subjects. in fact, i have recognized a few of them in pictures because i have met them before. everyone is so friendly. they make even newbies feel welcome. it's so exciting when you go to your user cp and see you have new responses. i wish everyone could have the joy of being a disboarder. :D it really brightens up your day.

what a sweet post smileybrat!!!

Thanks for the smile.

Great post smileybrat. You are so right the Dis is a ton of fun.:D

Well thank-you for the nice thougths. I, too, feel somewhat like a newbie compared to some (most) here. But, everyone is so helpful and it makes you feel at home here. My day isn't complete if I don't check in at the disboards at least several times. Think I'm addicted!!!

I'm glad the DIS makes your day brighter. I've been coming here just about every day since March 1998 and I always say my day doesn't feel complete unless I have DISed:)

Well said! I have about the same # of posts as you - and am having tons of fun with everyone I have "met" here. I am from the Pgh area also. It would be great to meet you sometime at a Pgh area DIS meet - let's hope someone out there is planning one soon!

These boards are alot of fun....today I am having fun because there is a discussion going on about something that I love to collect (antenna toppers). I love being able to talk about them without people thinking I'm nuts!!!!! :D

I have met some truly awesome people from here in person and I have become friends with many others - it's just a great place to be (sometimes it's not such a great place but you just pull yourself away from that and ignore it and stays the same great place!)

thelk4 ,
I see you are from Cranberry, my sister lives there also. My son (28) lives next to Pittsburgh airport(Moon Twp). He is 3 minutes from Charlie Brown's airport shuttle. Small world, we are about 1 hour from Cranberry.

What a sweet and truthful post!!! I have been here a long time (over four years) and I find most of the people here to be so wonderful. I have met some wonderful people and have gained some truly great friends here. Reading posts often makes me smile too :) Oh and since I kind of fall into that category where you were asking how you can get so many posts... I type fast and I have a cable modem connection :smooth: Seriously that's kind of true and I have honestly slowly evolved from reading everything and not responding to reading and replying more often. Oh and I had to say that posts like this are the ones that make me really smile, so thank you :)

I agree with smileybrat. I feel like a newbie, too. This is such a wonderful, magical place to be. The people are so kind, respectful. and thoughtful. I am fully addicted and I DON'T want to be cured! :Pinkbounc

What a great post! I've been coming to the DIS for 3 years now, but don't have that many posts. I read a lot more than I post to. I only recently started coming to the community board and it is a lot of fun.

I post when I find a topic that interests me or that I feel I can share something. Everyone is different and that's what makes life and the DIS so much fun.

The DIS is a wonderful place! Sometimes I read things about hard feelings and bad posts but I'm never a part of that and almost always clueless as to what's going on, so for me its a relaxing place to come and spend some time!

:D :D :D :D

Hello to all of the Pittsburghers out there!

I have been DISsing since March of 1998 - almost 5 years. Crazy huh?
I was just talking to one of my fellow mods last night and we were just talking about what a wonderful place and what wonderful people are on the DIS.
I feel like Lynn CC - a day without the DIS is a day without Sunshine! :sunny:

i never realized how many people were from pittsburgh on disboards. i actually live in oakdale, about 20 minutes west of pittsburgh, but no one ever seems to know where that is. i haven't heard of any disboard meets in the area.

my one friend, who shall remain nameless, also loves disney and she got me addicted. i check the boards almost everyday. it's not quite the same as going to wdw, but it helps. it's a lot cheaper. :D
