The Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 Pirate & Princess Party thread!

I have everyone costumes ready. I picked them up as Christmas presents. DH and I are pirates along with our oldest DS. We found a princess costume for my Mom and we'll also have a Cinderella, Belle and Aurora. Our two youngest are going to be Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. I can't wait !

Sorry if this has been asked, but anyone know what rides/attractions are usually open on events like this? I'm hoping to ride some of the MK rides while we are there, or maybe a few before the party starts if we can get in early.

I am counting on there being a pin. A few years ago we went to the Hallowe'en Party and there was a special pin. My daughters both bought one.

Dh & I will be going on the 26th and can't wait. We bought costumes 2 years ago and so will be using those again. I did make a new corset/vest to go with my Wench costume. If I get ambitious, I might make a different skirt to go with it.

DH just got a new job (starts Monday) so we hope that he will be able to take just two days off for us to take this trip. We have already changed our Cirque tickets.

Can't wait. Hope to be able to take DD with us too if she isn't working or if she doesn't have any big tests for school.

DBF has a Pirate hat, eye patch, head scarf and more. Pirate accessories are easy to come across in the UK right now.

But the best bit... I have this teddy (Andy Pandy) who comes on every holiday we take. He's had his picture taken in many countries (right now he is in Egypt with my Mum) and he's met lots of characters.

Today I bought him a Pirate dressing up outfit (in bear size!!).

I'm all excited now

That is a marvelous idea! I didn't want to wear a full costume either, but yet I wanted to do something special (if i get to go. *crosses fingers*) and a little crown is the perfect idea! Thank You! I would have never thought of that on my own!

We have never attended a special event before. What time do you guys think that the parade and fireworks will be scheduled? Will the fireworks be as great as Wishes? TIA

I just called to get my tickets today. I was told that they let people in early if they are expecting a large crowds. The CM said that she thinks that they may not let people early for this one. She said that if I booked a ressie at LTT or Tony's that they would let us in 15 minutes early for our ressie. We booked LTT for 5:00. I wanted to get in early with out wasting at ticket.

Based on past parties, the parade happens during the 8 and 10 o'clock hours, and the fireworks in the 9 o'clock hour.

Who knows what the fireworks will be like since it's new to all of us. I'm sure we'll start hearing reports after the first few parties occur.

Hmm, interesting info! They certainly might not let party goers in early, so we all better make sure we're prepared for that! We won't know for sure until that first party happens and someone posts about it. Even then, it sounds like it could vary each party night based on crowds...

It kind of stinks that I am going to the first party. Guess I will be the guinea pig for the group. We plan on trying to get in around 4:30 since I have heard that they let MNSSHP in at that time. I dont know what to expect. Maybe I shouldn't try going that early since they might not let us in. What do you think?

Aw, yeah, I guess you are the guinea pig...along with 30-something others on this thread so far. (And the rest of us will be anxiously awaiting your reports ASAP! No pressure or anything though... ) But, it's pretty cool though that you're going to the first *EVER* P&PP!!
