The jacket has been found!

Man, I went from being the best mom in the world to the dumbest parent on the planet this weekend. It all started on Friday when my son's new loft bed was delivered. The plan was to use the frame from his old bed in my daughter's room to (finally!) get her out of the crib and into a big girl bed. Eddie was spending the night at his best friend's house, so I took Sarah out to the mall to get sheets for her new bed. While there I stopped at the Disney Store and picked up jackets for both kids -- Princess for Sarah and Buzz for Eddie (size 6). On Saturday Eddie stopped by to get a Pokemon tape and I had him try on his new jacket. It looked too short in the sleeves, so I took it back to the Disney Store. Unfortunately, the only jacket they had in the next larger size was Tigger, so I exchanged Buzz for Tigger. What a stupid move! I got Tigger home, tried it on my son, it was way too big, so I went back to the Disney Store. They had already sold out of the size 6 Buzz jackets, including the one I had just returned. All they had left was the Tigger jacket, which my son didn't like nearly as well as the Buzz.

I've called almost every Disney Store in the Chicago area and no one has the size 6 Buzz Lightyear denim varsity jacket so I'm asking other board members if they happen to be in a Disney Store and see one, please, please let me know!

I was about to suggest the same thing.For some reason,boys see Tigger as so 'girly',more feminine.
Oh well...I hope you get your jacket!

Good luck, Kim....hope it works out. Two Disney stores to try that are reasonably close by, if you haven't already, are Cherryvale (in Rockford/Cherry Valley) and Yorktown. They seem to have a better selection than some other stores and have very friendly CM's.

Doctor P -- thanks for the suggestion! I called as soon as they opened and they had the jacket in the right size. I should have it in a couple of days.

This will really help -- yesterday my son was playing with his best friend and another boy. The other boy's mom invited my son's friend to go to see "Spy Kids 2" but didn't invite Eddie. Poor Eddie was having a really bad day and Mommy made it worse when I didn't get the right jacket! I'm glad that his hurts are so easy to fix at this age -- his best friend came over today and they're playing together again like yesterday never happened....
