The Irish are going to Disneyland.

Do you play an instrument or are you a singer or both? I love the music from Frozen. Have you seen the youtube video someone posted "Of course I want to build a snowman"? It is pretty awesome.

By the way the Beast plush you hugged . . . he is adorable!

I didn't see that will look now :)

I was going to do a life update with that post might have made more sense lol. I did music in college but lost alot of confidence stuff happened I stopped playing piano for like seven years but went back last year to finish piano exams as I have three more to do and then could technically teach if I wanted to. So yeah I play piano and then I sing in the chorus for a musical society although my teacher is trying to get me singing solo a bit now, you've to do sight singing and stuff for the piano exam... I'm more of a so-low you can't hear me when I'm on my own singing though unless there's nobody in the room then i'm singing my brains out! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I finally made it lol. Sorry I'm so slow. I'll try to be better;) I was hoping you would choose oct since we are likely headed that way then. But I don't blame you if you have a choice on the schedule.

Welcome :goodvibes

It's not going very fast anyway lol. I've been distracted with music and musical stuff. I put in an application for my next piano exam. I haven't done a piano exam in like 12 years. The musical society are putting on the Addams family in April this year as well and I have many early shifts like 6am because of this so I can have evenings off for rehearsals so literally all I'm doing at the moment is either working, sleeping, making some sort of music or dancing! :lmao:

We're going in November because of the flight prices. I wanted to do October because of the Halloween party but I'll take Christmas lights instead... I don't mind so long as Mickey Mouse is there and it's far away from Ireland :goodvibes

I made a semi schedule.. yeah I know we're 8 and a bit months away but it helps relieve stress/anxiety

Day 1: Fly/Travel day--three time zones in one day! can't wait. What tips do people have for long flying days?
Day 2: DCA.. I think this might be a slower park for us as there seems to be less rides here that we will go on... It's Mickey Mouse's birthday this day though so this might change to a DL day instead
Day 3: DL
Day 4: Citadel outlets.. we like shopping in America because the designer stuff is about 100 euro cheaper there :goodvibes
Day 5: Hollywood tour
Day 6: If we don't get enough time to have a giant ice-cream (i want the pin) in the studio store in LA we might try venture in on the train for a while.
Day 7: Storytellers for breakfast with Kenai :) explore DTD possibly Anaheim. If we don't go in to LA on Day 6 we'll explore Anaheim that day though.
Day 8: homerun on the parks DCA anything we missed/want to do again
Day 9 : DL likewise
Day 10: Both parks and DTD anything we missed or want to do again.
Day 11: Fly and because of time differences we don't get home until day 12.

Our big problem with holidays is Momma wants and needs to be able to rest from time to time.. I can't stand staying still for any longer than about 5 minutes because when I have to stay still I'm thinking of all the things we're not doing :rotfl:

Won't you go more than 3 time zones? i went 3 from Ohio to Ca last week, so you have to be more than that! It really did play tricks on my body too. I would stay up late in CA time, but my body would wake on Ohio time... Made for some tired eyes. :rolleyes1

Nope there's only three we stop or start in. Start in Dublin fly to Altanta which are 5 hours ahead of Dublin then on to Orange County which is 3 hours ahead of Atlanta or 8 hours ahead of Dublin! I'm tired thinking about it. I think the killer for us will be when we get to California it'll only be 6pm their time but 2am our time and after all that travelling we will most likely want to head straight to bed but will need to stay up a little while longer to adjust to time differences.

Oh, Ok, you mean the ones you stop in. I just was counting the actual time zones away from my home.

Yeah I have no idea how many time zones I'd be flying through in general it's like 13 or 14 hours on two planes in total! :goodvibes

Question does anyone know where one might rent a wheelchair or scooter for the parks?

Hi! For the scooter/wheelchair your hotel should be able to arrange that for you easily. We did that last visit.
Will you have park hopper tickets? If so day 2 you can go to both parks and take your time strolling through.
One thing is I wouldn't expect much on the day you want to see Anaheim. There isn't much to see at all. If you have a rental car you can always drive down to Newport beach there are little restraunts Etc you can see also the Newport mall is very very nice. Also for shopping South Coast Plaza mall is good.
Have fun!!!

The explore Anaheim this is just a recover from all the go go go days really. Momma isn't as fast as she used to be. We won't have a rental car. I do have a cousin in the area but not sure if we'll be able to get in contact with her. If we do could be cool to meet up with her for a while. My family tend to only see each other at funerals like :lmao:

The Farmers market is one of the stops on the LA tour. I think prob we'll do the tour and then pick places we want to explore in more detail to do the next day.

Here is a website that has them for cheaper rental in Anaheim that you might want to check out. They look to be cheaper rental to me.

You might want to consider purchasing a subscription to Ridemax. It's a web app, but you can also install it on a smart phone if you want to. We used it a lot May of last year when we took our 2 kids to DL for the first time. I only used it as a web app, never from a smart phone.

Ridemax is the #1 reason why we all had a good time, why we never waited in line for more than 20 minutes for a ride, and why nobody was cranky.

If your mom wants to minimize time spent waiting in line, I highly recommend using it. There are some sticky threads on this board about it. It is the best $15-16 that I've ever spent. Seriously.

For example, on our early entry day, we went on probably 10 rides in the first 2 hours. When things were starting to get busy, we were ready for a break. Then we hit the rides again like gangbusters later in the afternoon.

Everybody got to ride the rides that they wanted to and nobody stood in line for an hour. It was totally awesome.

Thanks I will show it to Momma and see what she wants to do.

We don't really mind waiting in line to much. We don't tend to do the crazy rides like the rollercoasters and that so most of what we do usually only has 20-30 min wait and then we do all the shows and stuff. Momma is just slower walking than me so like I'd be in the gates and up at fantasyland in about 5 seconds she'd still be getting in the gate like :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry I haven't stopped by for a while . . . if you haven't heard of or looked into Deckerts for the scooter check them out. My brother has used them twice and been very happy with their service. They drop off and pick up from the hotel and he just drove the scooter to the parks. He did a lot of research and at the time they were also the cheapest I believe. It was a few years ago but they are worth a look.

Quick little life update:

Last year I went back to piano after losing alot of confidence and not playing it for like 7 years and not doing exams for 12 years. I had three more exams to do when I stopped and I could technically teach if I wanted to! About three weeks ago ish I put in the application for the next exam and waiting on a date for it now.. I dunno whether to be excited or scared.

Today I'm having an anxious day so missing dancing :( but I did go to Dublin last night because one of the guys from my favourite band Westlife had a concert on. He was amazing:

For those of you that didn't follow my previous trip reports Westlife were an Irish boyband I followed since 1999 and the "broke up" in 2012. I still think they will get back together eventually Westlife bloggie
Of course I also went to the Disney store when I was in Dublin. They had an offer when you spent over 15 euro you could get Thumper for 9.90 so they had lots of Thumpers:

I also found Mickey Mouse cupcakes:

Also on the trip front we got word today that the flight from Atlanta to Orange County has been changed so we now have a 5 hour wait in Atlanta and won't get to Orange County until 7.30 in the evening.

Emma-
How did I not realize that you had a PTR going? I am so sorry, or I would have been here lots sooner! I am counting on you to figure out DL so that if I ever get there I can ask you questions!

Yay for Westlife...even if it was just one on the guys! Fun for you...and of course you know how much I enjoy your trips to the Disney Store!
