The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

Just in case I don't catch you tonight, have a GREAT trip!!! :yay: Can't wait to hear all about this one too! :)

Don't worry, you will! :thumbsup2

Totally uber cool soccer jerseys! :thumbsup2

Do you remember what were the non-pasta entree choices at Tutto? I'm particularly interested in finding out if the lamb chops are still on the menu or the sole (fish) or what other fish or meat entrees they are now offering. Thanks!

Thanks! They love those shirts. We have a few others too. RE the entrees well, I had a pork chop (stuffed) on potatoes -- it was amazing. I recall Lamb, so you should be in luck.

Can't wait to hear about your MK EMH experience. I love those evening EMHs!

Have a wonderful trip if I don't get back over here before you leave. :goodvibes

Thanks, LL!!! I will post it up tomorrow. I did have a marvelous time!

I love Fantasmic too!! I can't wait for my sons to see it in November this year - my youngest two's first trip.

I'm jealous - you are going to Oregon (where I grew up) and Scotland (where I would love to visit one day). Have a safe and happy trip!!

Fantasmic is really cool. I forget how much so until I am sitting there watching!

Oh wow! I grew up in Oregon for most of my young adult life... then moved to CA and beyond. We did have a wonderful trip!

What a fabulous day from beginning to end! You are really, really making me want to stay at BC - SAB looks fantastic!

I've never seen Fantasmic at DHS, I need to rectify that! Make sure you take time to see the DL version when you are out there, I've seen that one and it's great - a little different from WDWs version I've been told.

Are you going to do a mini TR for your trip to Scotland here? I'd love to hear all about it :thumbsup2

Thanks for that tip! I am trying to get organized for our DL trip here in another week -- we have our ADR "day" if you will coming up fast. I am trying to score a dining package for World of Color (not sure if they will continue these in the fall, though). Yep, you can count on the Scotland photos! Don't worry!

Great fantasmic pics!

Have an awesome vacation:goodvibes

Thanks!!!! :goodvibes

I can't believe the Scotland trip is here already! I didn't realize you were going by way of Oregon....:confused3

Fun F! update!

Yes, it is rather counterintuitive to go to Scotland by way of Oregon, like an extra five hours!!! But I will explain all when I write about it! Hope you are having a smashing time in WDW right now!

Got lots to catch up with but just wanted to stop by and wish you a wonderful trip to our home. Not sure you will think much of the weather has been pretty rubbish since we have been away and since our return. We are still trying to get back in to our timezone so I hope it doesn't take long when you arrive :goodvibes

I will go back and catch up with your TR and the run up to this trip popcorn::

Hiya!!! JUST loved our visit let me say, everytime I go!!! I love being there, and the weather wasn't rubbish!!!! :) I love hearing all the "BRIT-isms"!!!! It was somewhat refreshing after all the humid 90 weather!!! I will post more in the days to come!

Hope you have an amazing trip over here! As has been said already weather is not great but Edinburgh is starting to get very lively with the festival and I am sure you will have a great time! Will keep my eye out for you in Edinburgh when we venture in! What show are your DHs students in?

OH NO! I wish I would have been able to catch this message before I left! I would have given you my international cell #! My DH's student company performed an absurdist adaptation of a greek myth. It was well received, they had a great time, and we all did! I ate at some great restaurants, had some awesome cider, and saw some great shows! I LOVED the Tattoo as always. Did you end up heading over for the festival?

Fantasmic is an awesome show. I love it when the boat comes around and all the characters come out waving.

It's so cool that you get to go to Scotland. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers for a great trip and safe travel. I look forward to fabulous pictures when you return. :cool1:

Thank you MeMOM! I did have a great time and safe travels, just long travels!!! But fun. I do love Fantasmic, too.... the music is so energizing :goodvibes

Love the Fantasmic photos!
I can't wait to read your WoC review in the fall. I hope you're going to do a DL tr :)

Have a wonderful trip to Oregon and Scotland!!!

THANKS!!! WOW you are almost on your way!!!! YAY!!!! We did have a great great time! I will MOST certainly run a PTR/TR for Disneyland! It will be Halloween after all!!!!!

Have a wonderful and safe trip!

Thanks Laura!!!

Fun Fantasmic photos!!! Can't wait to hear your impressions of MK EMH!

Have a great time in Oregon (are you visiting your folks?) and Scotland -- you know I recently read a book that centered around Shakespeare, MacBeth (my favorite of his tragedies) and Scotland -- I have been quoting it for days and days even though my mother tells me it is bad luck. ;) So anyway, all my rambling aside, have a fantastic trip!!!

Okay, yes, I was visiting my parents, And LOL! about the MacBeth allusions and such (only bad luck if you are in a theater, tell her!!! :rotfl:) and INTERESTING about it being your favorite tragedy.... ick. I am not a huge fan, I MUST confess, but there are some great moments... OUT damned spot! I saw a wild performance of it once, with a big pool of "blood"... it was crazy, b/c everytime someone "died" they were splashed by the pool... it was a massive mess on that stage LET me tell you!!! :scared1:

So I guess I exchanged rambling for rambling? HA!!!!

Great Fantasmic Photos!!!

I hope you have a great trip!! ENJOY!!!!

THANKS Jen!!! I did have a great time!

Hope you have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Thank you!

Well, I was asking because, since TSM was down, we went to VOTLM. But, when we got out, we decided to go by and check out TSM again before heading to Fantasmic...wellllllll.....it was open! Total walk-on! It was 15 min. to Fantasmic, but we just decided to go for it and then run over. We were even tempted to go again but then we would have been really cutting it close.

Hope you have a great trip and safe travels!! :goodvibes

Then we both enjoyed the low crowds that day and night I guess! :thumbsup2

Love it when that happens!

Sorry I missed you before you left. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Oh thanks! I did!

Have a wonderful time in Scotland!

Thanks again!

have a fantastic trip!!!

Thank you!!!

Have a great time in Scotland! I hope you will do a mini-TR about it when you get back! I would love to see pictures!

Oh you know I will!!! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!

Thanks!! :goodvibes

O.k, so I have a confession to make! I have never seen Indiana Jones and it's been 5 years since I've seen Fantasmic! Please don't take away my DIS account.:worship::rotfl2:
Hope you're having a great time on your trip.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:
FUNNY..... Well, GO!!!!! ;)

Don't feel bad..It's been 11 years since I've seen Indana Jones and I have never sen Fantasmic!

Wonder if it is the same "Indie"...

All caught up :thumbsup2 We done a KP mission in China was great fun, kids enjoyed doing it. We did choose to only do one mission as it was so warm, we needed to get some air con and some fluids :cloud9: Oh I can see you picked out Italian football shirts cool, DS loved them. I love the firework photos from the top of BLT. I’m with you on the early ride on Kali was a great way to cool down :yay: Guest relations was definitelyworth the visit turned out well yey to FPs :cool1: We will def be making future ADRs for CG love love loved it  Fab news about your work trip, we visited the “other park” enjoyed WWOHP wait was not too bad for us but that was early, 2 hours max, that was entering the village, waiting in line for ride, doing baby sway and making our way to sweet shop. Great exit story DS and DD1 would be rather amused too :rotfl: Ah beach club we loved going to it  would love to have stayed. AO not a ride we do, your picture explains :scared1: BTGs entertained us on many attraction and DS was in awe in the lines :lmao: Fantasmic pics are really clear :thumbsup2

Well you certainly have the summary right!!! Of thanks for letting me sneak a peak into WWOHP!!! I am looking forward to checking it out! I can't wait to hear about YOUR trip, btw!!!! :surfweb:

Welcome home, Happydog!!!! I was thinking it was about time for you to come home!!! How were Scotland and Oregon? Are you going to share some pictures once you are officially home and settled? Please! :goodvibes Good luck readjusting to the Eastern Time Zone!

HELLO!! Yes, I made it! Yes I had a wonderful time, and OH my have I done a number on my system!!! So funny I am WIDE awake right now. I will be a wreck tomorrow, but that is another story. I am going to force myself to sleep shortly. I will definitely share pics, CP, I have lots to share!

Just found your TR and subbing. Your opening update is fabulous. Pixie dust on my behind - Love it!

HI!!! I have seen you on many a TR I visit, too!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, WELCOME!!!!!

I imagine it will take you several days, if not a full week, to get grounded back into your normal life from all of that coming and going. I look forward to seeing the amazing pictures I know you took during your travels. For now, just get some rest! :thumbsup2

DEFINITELY a few days, you said it. I am actually alone right now, DH is still in Scotland, and the boys just left this evening to go with my DMIL to VA for a few nights -- she has a house on the water. We are having a mega landscaping project being done right now, and I didn't want them at home with all the construction in the back yard. So fortunately I can do exactly what you suggest, and I can do it in peace!!!! :goodvibes

I was just thinking about you and wondering when you would be coming home. Welcome back! Take it easy as you're adjusting back to the regular routine. You'll be in the school year frenzy soon enough. I am looking forward to hearing about your trip when you have a chance!

Well, I am back!! Just trying to get my head wrapped around the EST again! School gently starts in the next two weeks, so it starts slowly this week, inservice with teachers next week, and then kids the following.... I will share about my trip, don't worry!!! Going to start by FINISHING my TR!!!

Welcome Home!!!! Take your time getting settled back into your routine, I'm sure it has been a crazy couple of weeks!! I can't wait to hear about your trips!!!!!

I will share lots don't worry! I know my routines definitely have to be reestablished!!

Welcome home!!

Welcome home!

Welcome home!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU!!!! :upsidedow

Can't wait to see your pics of Scotland, glad you had a lovely trip and the weather wasn't that bad, we have had some not bad weather over the past two weekends :goodvibes I am pretty much organised now from our trip, managed to start a TR as I have made some time after work, look forward to reading about the rest of your WDW trip :)

Welcome home!!!!
Looking forward to hearing all about your trip within a trip report!! :thumbsup2

Tracy

Wow, I've missed all the excitement of your going away and returning! Can't wait to read all about it!

So I guess I exchanged rambling for rambling? HA!!!!

Literature always brings out the rambler in me!

I think I like Macbeth because of all the great lines -- after all, who can resist quoting Lady Macbeth when trying to get stains out of kids' clothing. :lmao:

I can't imagine seeing that performance!!! I wanted to take the kids to see a Shakespeare play in DC next summer when we are there, but the only one the Shakespeare Theater Company is doing is The Merchant of Venice. I don't think that is quite Chelsea and Connor's thing. :(

Hi! Glad you're home safely. :goodvibes

Looking forward to hearing about it and seeing some pictures...ready when you are! popcorn::

I really really am starting to get my sea legs again! So I figured I would at least finish the evening of that DHS day I had started back three weeks ago!!!!!

So the last I left you (which was a LONG time ago!!!!) I was returning to the BC with my guys, and DH took the boys up to the villa and I headed in my car to the MK! :thumbsup2 I was able to park at the BLT parking lot, and walked over.

Here I pay homage to MeMom -- getting my photos in … I decided it was appropriate for me to take this photo of the time…. Wondering if this Cinderella’s Volvo x90 would turn into a pumpkin at midnight??

summer2010574-1.jpg

I had a chance to enjoy the window displays… They are all beautiful. :goodvibes But these are two of my favorites.

Just so visually stimulating, this one! It reminds me of the window displays at Christmas in New York City, and in London.

summer2010575-1.jpg

And of course going with my theme from earlier… but this “Cinderella” was dressed in shorts and fit flops!!!

summer2010576-1.jpg

I had a chance to just do what I love to do: Meander.

Yes I had a shopping plan… I had a mission to buy a watch and to go to the Christmas store. And get a dole whip float! :yay: I also wanted to see some of the shops I hadn’t really ever studied before.

summer2010577-1.jpg

So I started out around Main Street, then I went over to Adventureland to get my beloved float, then crossed through America and hit the Christmas store. I was super excited, because I was able to scoop up another TStory ornament! I walked through Fantasyland, and went into the shop over by Snow White, I can’t remember what it is called now, but I enjoyed browsing there. I found a delightful magnet. I looked at a Tshirt for the boys, but decided against it. I thought the Tea Cups looked so inviting at night!

summer2010578-1.jpg

summer2010580-1.jpg

Everything did. I stared at Sleeping Beauty’s fountain for a while, just so beautiful at night with it’s lighting, and I peeked in here, too…

summer2010581-1.jpg

I forget what this is called – I think it is where the Princess story tellers are – sorry no girls in my family!

I then went through the castle, and took all the photos of that area I wanted.

summer2010583-1.jpg

summer2010584-1.jpg

summer2010586-1.jpg

summer2010585-1.jpg

I saw PPass lines for Mickey and other characters, but I wasn’t going to stop just for myself. I walked through and down the castle ramp, and enjoyed the view of the changing colors.

summer2010591-1.jpg

It was fun to just feast my eyes on all I could see. Now it was clear to me that these evenings are really when the refurb work gets done. They were up in the rafters behind the “screens” on main street pounding and drilling away. It was an obvious time to do this work, I guess even with EM hours running until 2pm they still have to get started!

I know some of you have said that you don’t like these… I am sorry I think they are TOO cute! :upsidedow I especially love the TS and the Alice in Wonderland set…. I would get some if I was decorating a baby’s room, or something like that, but I have no use for them, so I just admired them!

summer2010593-1.jpg

After browsing a bit more, I headed out the front gate. But not without getting my first and only photo of this bench here…

summer2010594-1.jpg

I left close to 1:30. I had a fun evening on my own, and I recommend this to anyone who gets the chance. I loved seeing the differences between night and day and the Magic Kingdom is most amazing at night. I had hoped to see the Animal Kingdom in the evening as well, but I didn’t make it. Next time.

Continued in NEXT POST!

SO....

I will get my next update for Our FINAL park day started today….
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. :sad2: Though after being away from these photos and DIS for a few weeks makes me so anxious to go back again. :lovestruc I can’t wait until Disneyland in October. That should be fun.

I, like everyone!, have been up to my ears in ALL sorts of stuff since I returned from Scotland. :faint: Namely watching the slow progress on my back yard renovation, and trying to get my house in order before the school year starts. :headache: It is coming, but I am impatient!!

Some fun news, I was able to see the class lists for my boys (their teacher lists – we know who they have two weeks before school starts) and next Friday I get to take them to the “sneak peek” where they meet their teachers. :goodvibes My youngest begins Kindergarten this year. Crazy. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! My baby isn't a baby  NOT happy about that one bit. :guilty:

I have lots to do today, but I will be back later on -- I did catch up some last Wednesday, but am likely behind again!!!

Sorry I have been off and away this week. So much going on as we all know right before school starts! :scared:

Now, As I reflect, we do still have lots of great Disney plans… And that makes me excited.

The Disneyland/San Diego trip in October/Nov.
Three nights for Universal/Disney with DH right after Thanksgiving (still at the AK right now)

One night at BLT Castle view in February the night before Dh and I head over for our four night Disney Dream cruise over President’s day.

And our summer family trip of (fingers crossed :goodvibes ) a five night stay at Vero Beach, after our five night Disney Dream cruise! The cruise is a definite... we are hoping we can slide into Vero.

Now, with these AMAZING deals I see, I may, just MAY try to coerce DH into a trip over Memorial day… I would LOVE to go with my boys for Star Wars Weekends…. I would even go without him, just me and them… but something makes me think he wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun… I still cannot believe they are running free dining, and such great room discounts THROUGH 2011! :thumbsup2 So, ONE never knows…

BUT for now, let’s get this TR finished and let the rest of the year unfold!

Thanks for sticking with my TR! I will post my Scotland pics too, once I am done with Disney!!

TTFN! :wave2:

Your evening alone at MK sounds awesome. So fun to get a chance to slow down and notice the details that you're interested in. I love "aimless" browsing in the stores!!

You have some super exciting upcoming plans! The deals are awesome, aren't they? Somehow I have a feeling that you will be seeing a Memorial Day visit...:rolleyes1
