The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

I love this one. So cute!
It made me smile a big old Disney smile this morning. :)

I thought this one was cute, too :goodvibes

Holy cats you guys did a lot! That's some serious power touring and riding! I love the fact that it was interspersed with smoothies and floats to get you through the heat. What a fun busy morning.

The speedway pic is just precious!

I'd have been using those extra FP's too...:rolleyes1

It was a ride-filled morning for certain! It was great. We just really had a lot of luck with timing, etc. We are on our way out though! I think we were there until 1:30 - 2pm.. the parade was the last thing we did... That is all I remember!

I also saw Blue Zoo on Restaurant.com, checked it out last night after I saw a post about it on the dining threads. However as with most of their GC's you have to have at least 2 entrees and given that they have no lunch menu, it made no sense for us but...might for you! The one I saw was $25 for $10, or basically covering your tip lol! Or a couple of drinks.

Just got one! I think we will find a good use for it... :rolleyes1

What a fabulous update!! Or should I say updates. :goodvibes

Sounds like you had fabulous ride mojo, what time did you end up leaving the park?

HA! Yes, we did! We were glad to have the passes, and it helped us get a few more rides in for sure... We left after the parade came by so it had to be after or about 1:30 I guess...

Hi! Welcome! Hope you stay with us!

Love your MK updates!
And your favorite photo is absolutely adorable :goodvibes

Thanks!!! It just made me smile! ONE more for MK!!! I am not even past mid-day yet! This was a very fun filled day!!!

Hey! I just wanted to say that we have three months before our DISNEYLAND for HALLOWEEN trip! It is one of a few stops we are making in CA at the end of October, beginning of November!! I can't wait!!!!

Just a fun little interlude!!!

Now back to your regular HD report! I gotta get us out of the Magic Kingdom!!! :rotfl:

Well hello again, everybody! I figured you would want to see the rest of our day, so I am going to get us out of the Magic Kingdom in this post, and share the rest of our evening, too!

So, on our way out of the park after some fun on a Jungle Cruise, we were glad to see that the Celebrate Today Parade was starting down Mainstreet!
It started with the Volunteer intro, with the Muppets, which was cute!

summer2010410.jpg

I was really pleased to see this parade, it wasn’t one I had seen in its entirety before, so I am glad it timed out well. :thumbsup2 We stood in the circle near City Hall, and that was a good spot that afternoon, because it wasn’t in direct sun… I didn't get the best photos of this one, but here are the pics I caught… IF YOU WANT TO SEE REALLY GOOD PHOTOS OF THIS PARADE HOP OVER TO MEMOM'S TR!!!! SHE GOT AWESOME PICS AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!! There were a few fun moments during this parade as well, the boys were really watching and waving, and even Jafar came right up to Griffin and another boy and gave them a stern stare and after Griffin gave him a "thumbs down" he crossed his arms and leaned right down face to face for a look!

I am afraid I missed Mickey both times!!:headache:

We enjoyed watching the parade, then made our way back over to the Contemporary on the monorail, and back to the Beach Club! :beach: It had been a very action-packed day at the Magic Kingdom! I was glad we all were there together, and had so much fun. I knew that would probably be our last time all together at the MK, so I was so glad we all had a great day and got all the favorites in!

NEXT UP!!!!! -- EPCOT, KP, and TWO restaurants!!!!

So I guess it was pretty late that afternoon, when we got back from the Magic Kingdom...

I keep thinking we must have gone to the pool, and I do have a set of pool photos, but I think they are the next day!!! So at any rate, it may have been that this day I didn’t take my camera. But we surely did go to the pool for a little.

We then did have an early dinner at Tokyo Dining. Now, after eating at Tutto’s and definitely enjoying it, DH wanted to go to Tutto’s again. We were not able to get dinner there, but we were told we might be able to secure a walk up outside... so armed with that information, we decided to do dinner in Japan, and play it by ear after.

The boys mapped out our plan across to Japan...

Here are a few photos before and after dinner in the Japanese Pavilion… We sat in a new spot of the restaurant, by the sushi makers!

After dinner, we went to the American Pavilion and looked around, well, we mostly checked out the fountain!

summer2010441.jpg

summer2010445.jpg

And then, we went to Tutto’s for gelato and wine…. I mean, I can’t tell you how good that bottle of wine was from our dinner earlier in the week, but there it is!!! So it was worth another stop!!! It was great to sit outside and enjoy the view, and the kids had gelato while DH and I drank our wine and split a Zabaglione gelato… :cloud9: Here are some pics while we were loitering in the plaza waiting for our table, catching the sights... I browsed in the shops, DH in the wine shop, and the boys were just outside with their KP phone! My camera battery started flashing "low" on my camera, so unfortunately I didn't take too many at this stop in our evening, as I was trying to be conservative with taking pictures at this point... but fortuately it lasted the rest of the evening! :)

As we were leaving the Italy Pavilion, the sun was getting lower in the sky, and it was close to Illuminations, about 8:30 I think… I did break out my camera again, along the way, so pretty this time of evening!!!! :cloud9: We had our KP mission in England, so we had to get back to the other side…

We made our way over to England! And our KP mission began! :thumbsup2

England and Illuminations coming up NEXT!!!!

So we made it back to England and started our KP mission. I really liked this one! :thumbsup2 I thought many of the effects were really creative, and there were some fun interactive bits to it as well!

Here are some pictures of our Mission!!!! Shhhh.. TOP SECRET!!!!

You have to go into this phone booth, and a golf ball shoots our for you to take on your next stop...

summer2010454.jpg

This window display comes to life!

summer2010455.jpg

When you deposit your golf ball, there is another animated sequence that happens in the store...

summer2010457.jpg

The inside of the English stores reminds me of many castle and museums I have been inside while in Great Britian... at Windsor in particular.

I love the "flats" and the street scene in the back square area.... I also love the toy shoppe... I was in there nosing around while the boys finished the mission...

summer2010464.jpg

Just as we finished, the first fireworks set off across the lagoon for … Illuminations!

We went to the bridge and DS8 was complaining about wanting to sit… so I perched him on the trash can so he could see. I figured he wouldn’t get any more germs from the ground! In doing this I ended up with some photos with his silhouette in the foreground. I really liked seeing this, because of course I know it is him and I loved watching him during the show…:lovestruc

Back to the villa we went… how nice to just walk and be there! :goodvibes And then, since I had time, I hopped into the car and scurried over to DTD for a little fun of my own! :yay: I had only two stops, well, I guess I went to TrenD as well… :rolleyes1 but mostly I was looking for Toy Story Xmas ornaments… so here were my two stops!

summer2010475.jpg

summer2010474.jpg

I was terribly disappointed that the Christmas sign was NOT correct!!! Because when we went to DTD our last day in Disney, it hadn’t changed!!!
BOOOO!! But then that got me wondering if it was regularly changed, or only before Christmas!!!?? :confused3

Armed with a few purchases, I headed back to Beach Club!! This was by far one of our BUSIEST days, and we had a fun day planned at Hollywood Studios in the morning!!! Stay tuned for more!!!!

NOTE:

So I just finished typing this up, and just as I did, guess what came up on DIS Radio? Illuminations .... GOTTA love that music. So neat. Sigh. When can I go back!!?? HA HA!!!!!!

DAY SEVEN RECAP!

DAY SEVEN - MAGIC KINGDOM DAY and EPCOT Evening

1. We got to Magic Kingdom pretty early, and with the FPs we were fortunate to be given, really got all the rides in we wanted and then some!!!

2. Lunch was QS on the DDP, and we enjoyed Columbia Harbor House for the first time! We will be back there again no question! Snacks were plentiful! Lots of slushies, pretzels and of COURSE DOLE WHIP FLOATS!!!!

3. Dinner was TOKYO DINING!!! VERY GOOD as always!!!! We used a DDP TS dinner for all of us... our special add on this night was a stop later at Tutto's for wine and gelato!!!! Gotta love that TIW card!!

4. An Epcot evening was again perfect for KP Missions! Not too hot, and of course the World Show Case is beautiful at night! We surely loved getting to see Illuminations that evening as well!

HIGHLIGHT: The gift of Fast Pass passes! We certainly were able to do more... and really the day at the Magic Kingdom was one of the best of the trip!!!!

CHALLENGE: Trying to drink a bottle of wine before the boys finished their Gelato.... LOL!!!!!!!!!!

What a challenge! ;) Let me get out my violin. :lmao: Sounds lovely to me! I often wonder about going to a table service restaurant for "just" drinks and appetizers or dessert. Good to know it is possible. By any chance do you remember what kind of wine you had?

Your boys are just the cutest. Perhaps it's not like this all the time but from the pictures it seems like they really get along well! :goodvibes I'm laughing at the pics of them in the "Americas fountain" b/c that is exactly how I remember them from last October! So adorable!! :goodvibes

Love the Illuminations photos with the silhouette. I agree w/ you- the trash can can't be any dirtier than the ground!

Your boys have absolutely THE best facial expressions ever!!! :goodvibes

Your Illuminations pictures came out very well after your bottle of wine....:lmao: well I guess you were looking up at the sky somewhat!! :rotfl2: The silhouette pictures :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
How was your dinner in Japan? Neat that you were right near the sushi makers....I wonder if the chef in the white stands there and oversees everyone?

Tracy

Hey! Yeah I know! Go ahead play the violin..... :rotfl2:

Well, we were not sure if they would care, but they didn't seem to mind, and I suspect others do that (wine and apps)... we have done that for dinner, and never had trouble or question.. And we spent almost as much! But dessert and wine, this was a first... but we couldn't get a glass of it at the wine shop and they didn't sell it, soo what were we going to do??!!

YES! I added it back a few posts on our Tutto dining night, I will go back and look again, I can't remember the spelling... HOLD on... HERE!!!!! Montegrande Serprino Frizzante it is lightly bubbly, and a really nice chilled white.

That is so funny, but you are right that is exactly where we met, huh??!! Ah yes the lobster roll... :p They do get along well MOSTLY. It can go from side by side to all out war in a matter of an hour, though... it is so funny. I guess it is siblings. But I would say generally they are quite close. Nolyn starts kindergarten at Griffin's school this year. So I think that will make a big difference too....

THANK YOU for the compliments on the photos!!!!! :rotfl: We have eaten at Tokyo Dining several times and really like it. I have not tried Teppan Edo, but Tokyo Dining suits us very well... YES, you are right on that guess - that was all he did. It was really neat to watch. the counter area turns colors... We have always sat by the windows in the past, but this time since they didn't have a table coming available right away, I asked to sit in this area, and it was great! They have a few combo selections, with tempura, sushi and such, and it is a great TS meal we think. Kids love it too. :goodvibes

I want to see what Toy Story Ornament you found or got. They were bare when the girls and I went looking... I had to buy an already dated and painted buzz and woody one, there were no more to be found! What a busy day, I sure hope we can walk back after Illuminations next year!

More Awesome updates.

Gelato and wine at Tuttuo sounds like an awesome way to spend an evening and I love the firework pics.

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

wonderful update and what a fun fun world showcase evening! Dining in two countries, I love it! I didn't realize Tutto had outside seating....very cool! Gelato and wine...sounds pretty perfect to me.

Well, let me say pickings were slim when I went too! :( When we were there in February they had ALL of them. I really should have just done it then, but they are not cheap! Even with the 20% off they were offering! So I only bought TWO ornaments thinking when I came back in the summer I could get the rest... WELL, boy was I wrong! They had Dory from Nemo and a few Cars ornaments, and Jessie and Bullseye at the store I got Jessie -- I also bought Cinderella's castle - will show pics at the end. THEN when I went to the Christmas store at the MK on my own one night, I was able to get Buzz and Woody... the one I want is Rex with the mickey ice cream bar!!!! I plan to scope out more when we go in December. They say they get a huge shipment of everything in September - November, so hopefully then... :)

It was sort of spur of the moment, we had toyed with the idea, and then just decided to go for it! It was still early enough, and dinner wasnt a belly stuffing affair, so it was perfect!

Thanks! It was a great evening, we really became fans of the late night KP mission. I would recommend this for you, too, b/c those missions in the heat of the day :faint: ... I did that once with them and it was once too much! Thank goodness for Grey Goose, that is all I can say!!!! It was rather comical, restaurant hopping! I agree!!!! BUT there wasn't any other way to sample that wine again... SO..... :rolleyes1

YES, they have outside seating. I think it is not the ADR reservation seating. Well actually I know it isn't. They have a separate Kiosk for the tables, and they are only open for dinner. You have to walk up, like everywhere else in the "real" world.... So we did, had a 30 minute wait, and that was fine. It was sort of frivolous, but we didn't care!! That is what vacation is all about! :goodvibes So since the boys were okay, we took a chance. I don't have to do much if I am bribing them with ice cream! Their child's Gelato sundaes are wonderful -- so much better than the typical "disney dessert" options in 90% of the restaurants! Tutto's is VERY high on our WS restaurant list!!!! :thumbsup2

You had a day jam packed with lots of fun!!! :thumbsup2

If I was to do a KP mission, I'd want it to be in England. Can you request where you do it?? :confused3

Good Morning LL! YES, you can! Well, I don't know if they advertise that, but if you get your pass at the IG kiosk for KP, I believe it is for England. BUT if you get your pass at another location you can 'request' a different country -- just tell them you have already done one, or are trying to stay on one side of the lagoon, etc. But the easiest way is to get the pass at the IG kiosk, I believe...

Gotcha. :thumbsup2 I might have to put that on my Epcot list now.

I just now noticed the shirt that DS5 was wearing on your MK morning. LOL!

I agree that the KP mission in England is my favorite one!!! I wish I had video of Connor's interaction in the tea shop! My favorite moment of a KP mission EVER!!!

Love that DS is in your Illuminations photos -- so neat! I love that show! That was the CD I bought this trip! The music always gives me goosebumps!

What a great idea to have wine and gelato outside at Tutto's! Of course, I love that restaurant so much that anything that includes it is a great idea in my mind. :lmao:

LL, I agree with Happydog! Do your mission before or after dinner -- we did ours after dinner, and it worked out perfectly. Also, you can request which country -- since we had done so many of them before, we made sure we had a new country this time.
