The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

Just wanted to point you in the direction of some great literature.
One that I just picked up for Baylor.
The Art of the Fart.

Another that the girls had and he has enjoyed a little too much.
The Gas We Pass.

It's funny, we actually justified another night at HRH to get a bigger discount on the room. Do look for deals, they do offer them but if it you are just there 1-2 nights not sure there will be much. You might want to check AAA.

:thumbsup2 on the dress, that is a ton faster than mine. I ordered it on the 20th and it looks like it should arrive on the 29th.

Good! Glad to hear it is on its way.... Just in time, right??

I will check the AAA rate -- that is a good idea. It isn't a good idea to go for a package, no, only a short stay -- I think we are only going for one night, to be honest -- leave really early the morning of, then go straight to the park for the day, and the next day, before check in at Disney for the two nights. Just a little fun for the two of us, really. I am hopeful the crowds wont be nuts, but it is the weekend after Thanksgiving, soo.... :scared:

The bus transportation and being able to go to the store for water, milk, etc. is the main reason I reserved a car. I don't mind ME at all, but I just don't think I can handle the buses in the heat, especially during the mass exodus in the evenings. I figure it'll be easier to get to DTD and the mini golf courses.

What Disney resort are you considering before your cruise?

I definitely liked having the car, I guess we are used to it now, but I didn't mind the bus. I took it when I went on my solo outings, and Griffin and I hopped it together one night too...

Not sure about the resort... this just materialized last night in conversation about cruise plans, airfare, mileage and companion vouchers!!! I am trying to see if there is any hope of a resort discount rate that weekend (it being president's day weekend...) I don't know that there will be, so that will play a factor. I was hoping there would be a room only discount. It is only one night. But it makes the transfer nicer, but only if I like the time we get to the cruise port... I have also thought about the train, because that might be the same price, and we can drive straight to the boat ourselves... We'll see. Not sure yet.

I love the look on his face as he takes it all in. :)

Beautiful picture.
Isn't it nice that he can get down to drink without having to watch for lions on the prowl to get him? :thumbsup2
It's a good life being a Disney giraffe.

What a great AK morning! Good idea on the swim trunks!:thumbsup2

My DD and DH give EE a thumbs down too but Ben and I love it!

Ah, the joys of having a boy...;)

Oh yes, we decided the swim trunks were the way to go today, because the plan was to go straight to the BClub and straight out to the pool!!! ;)

Yes. BOYS.... :rolleyes1

:lmao: I think I am going to take your son's verdict on EE to heart. But :thumbsup2 to him for giving it a try. He's braver than I am!

Good call on having them wear their swim trunks. Perhaps DH should have too?

I am so intrigued by this jalapeno pretzel you've mentioned so many times. Will have to try it!

I will, for sure, never look at Pizzafari the same way again. :rotfl:

Beach Club!!?! :hyper:

I have to say we are huge pretzel fans, I don't know if anyone else really likes them, but we do!!!!!!!! Oh, WigD does, yes!!! :upsidedow

Oh it is a pretty nutty ride, he was a trooper, to say the least.

Oh, and on Pizafari... YOU and me BOTH, Christine... YOU and me BOTH.

And yes, Matt's shorts were wet... :rotfl:

EE is an intense ride for such a little guy! I personally love it but don't blame him a bit for that thumbs down.

Kali on the other hand? I'm not a fan of damp underwear....

Jalapeno pretzel, so tasty!:thumbsup2

HA!!!! YAY I knew you liked them too!!!! They are the best snack with a Lost on Safari!!!

I agree it is a very intense ride! I think Matt forgot that Griffin was 6 when he rode it for the first time, not 5... so that is probably why Nol was a little under and overwhelmed... :scared1:

That is so funny with your son. My son is 21 and he would stil lbe laughing about that too. Boys just love that kind of stuff

Oh great. Some how I knew they don't grow out of it, but I was hoping... :upsidedow

What a wonderful morning at the Animal Kingdom! Love the giraffe pictures! Mine aren't nearly as good this year. They were hiding from us. :(

I have to laugh about your comment about pictures -- you did better this time, and I think I did worse than usual -- just soaking up the atmosphere and trying to stay cool at the same time.

Great idea about the swim trunks -- I need to remember that for the next trip for Connor. DH should have known better about Kali! How long did it take him to dry off? I know that cart near Kali where you got pretzels! We visited it ourselves on our AK day. :thumbsup2

DS5 and I would get along great! Everest is a bit too much for me, too!

The Pizzafari story is too funny! I can commiserate with you about boys and bodily functions -- they are a source of great hilarity at our house. :sad2:

Hurray for heading to the Beach Club!

Off to a wonderful start! I look forward to reading all about it!

Welcome!!! :flower3: And, thanks!!! We have fun on our trips -- glad to share them with you! :goodvibes

That is what happens, I mean we are there to enjoy it. So I think that makes it all the better, when we get caught up in the magic and forget to take the pics. :goodvibes But of course when I get home, and what to type up my reports, I hear myself saying, "aw man, I can't believe I didn't take a picture of that!!!!" :lmao:

Great idea about the swim trunks -- I need to remember that for the next trip for Connor. DH should have known better about Kali! How long did it take him to dry off?

Well, I say I have to give credit where credit is due... that was Matt's idea. So of course did he FOLLOW his own advice... He tossed the shorts he was wearing in the laundry that afternoon and they were still damp, so, I don't think he every quite dried off!!!!

Glad you tried one!

Oh, no...
If I can help it I DO NOT laugh at school....
It would be out of control if that happened.
Not that I don't put my head down on occasion, or get up and walk off.:rolleyes1
Just at home. We do laugh at home.

Thanks, it is fun to watch them watching! :goodvibes

I would say yes! Come to think of it, I am sure it is a good life being a Disney anything.... ;)

Lol too funny about Pizzafari...gotta love what can come out of kids mouths at any time.

The picture of your son giving the thumbs down is too cute..luckily it didn't traumatize him for good though

Well everyone welcome back to the transition point in our Disney Summer Trip!

The MEAN button...

Oh that picture just cracks me up! What a productive morning! A double Kali will get you every time, that's a riot.

Pizzafari story - so funny! :rotfl::rotfl:

Can't wait to see the new room. I think the Beach Club would be the ideal hotel for my mum.

I have a feeling after renting next month, we'll never have another Disney trip without a car.

I hope you're able to get a discount for February :wizard:

What a great AK morning!
Pizzafart :lmao: I have two nephews and a brother. I completely get the whole bodily functions humor.
Oh I can't wait for your BCV update!!!

Oh I know!! ;) It was funny... no, it didn't traumatize him, but I could tell he wouldn't be on that again!!!!!

I think I should listen to your DS and skip EE. :rolleyes1

I can only say that I can ride Expedition Everest ONCE a trip. That is it. DH on the otherhand, multiple times... this doesn't bode well for Universal... I don't know if I am going to make it through all those rollercoasters!!!! :scared:

Oh that picture just cracks me up! What a productive morning! A double Kali will get you every time, that's a riot.

It is kinda funny, I agree! He wanted to stand there and push the button to make the elephants squirt people!!!

I'm in... a little late. Trying to catch up. :)

Oh, well no such thing as late, you are right on time! Glad you made it!!!

It is a charming place, I really liked it before this trip, but LOVED it after!!! :thumbsup2

Ha! Well it is like the studio/one bedroom dilemma I think! I should be able to get something... we are checking into it! ;)

Once we pulled up to the resort, I went to check us in. DH and the boys were out with the car, getting the luggage unloaded and ready for bell services.

I made sure both our reservations were linked, and received our new key cards. We were on the basic dining plan again, so we had another set of TS, QS, and snack credits. We still had a round of QS meals on the old room cards (which we intended to use at the pool). So we have to keep both sets!

We requested a room close to the main building, and we received the third floor overlooking the park area between Beach Club and the International Gateway. It was a great spot!

Here are the boys playing around in the old car they have out front… we were waiting for DH to park our car, and then we all walked to our room together….

Once in our villa, we waited only a few minutes for luggage -- here are a few photos of what I was looking forward to seeing!!

I just love the print on this bed spread... too cute :cutie:

summer2010319.jpg

Once we got the luggage and a few things sorted out (namely LAUNDRY started!!!) we hopped into our suits, and headed to the pool!!!!!!!

I realized I didn't take too many photos of the villa, I guess because I had done that at Christmas, and I was just excited to be there! But I did take a very important photos... I was very much looking forward to having this...

summer2010320.jpg

 As you can see from the pile on the floor in front!!!

We were very excited to try out Storm Along Bay. They gave us towels, and wrist bands, and then we found a great spot in the sand, near the water’s edge. The sunscreen was applied and off they went! Here are some pictures from that first afternoon. I have LOTS more during the week… ;)

This is the view from my lounge chair. It is the vantage point we pretty much had every day we were there!!!! :rotfl:

Let me tell you, this was so relaxing to watch!!! I had filled their trip bag with a bunch of sand toys, and these came with us each day! They had a blast!!

About an hour and a half later, I ordered food, and we found a table by the pool to eat. They got back in the water for another hour, we lounged, then everyone went inside.

This evening I had designated as our Date night (it was a Friday night, btw)... I figured we would have had a full day with lots of fun, so taking them to the kids club would be fine, and DH and I could sneak over to Todd English’s Blue Zoo!!!

We were SOOOOOOO looking forward to this! :yay:
