I can't remember the last time I have laughed so hard that I cried:lmao: ...now I have to go back to page 1 and start from the beginning:rolleyes1

Romeo and Juliet
Sampson and Delilah
Antony and Cleopatra
JFK and Marilyn
Dan and Dawn (thats me and my boo-bear) :lmao:

We were meant to be...

And you have a firefighter mickey for your avatar...so you are gold in my book...my BFF is a firefighter from Northern Ireland...so love me some pole climbers...or is it sliders...:worship: ;)

I just got done reading your pre-trip report and all I can say is I LOVE IT!!!! You made me laugh so hard!!! :rotfl2: I swear I want you to come live with us and then go on Hank's Wish Trip so you can write the report! :worship: You have a real gift with words!!!!:)

ok I just finished the thread...and yes I confess I skipped a little bit...but I did call my husband at work and tell him to read post #16...he had just finished eating dinner and said he had to help the guys clean up the kitchen first and he would read it when he was finished...he just called to say he had read it... I told him I was just finishing the end of the thread and was sitting here by myself like a crazy woman laughing out loud...he said he must have read the wrong one then cuz it didn't take him that long:rolleyes1 duh! he read # 16, I read the entire thread:rotfl:

anyways we are going in Dec the 4th through the 15th....been planning since March or April and adding days as we go...:rolleyes1 in fact last weekend when he left for work on Sat morning he said and I quote "love you, see you Monday, and babe....don't book any more nights while I'm gone" now this was at 6am so I just acted like I was half asleep and didn't have a clue as to what he meant:idea: :lmao:
we will be at OKW in a studio Dec 7-12 so I'm hoping our paths cross:dance3:
by the way...my husband is a firefighter;)
we live in NW Florida about 8 hoours driving time to Disney...his first trip ever to Disney was in 2003 for our honeymoon...it was my first trip ever to WDW but I grew up about 2 miles south of Disneyland and have many many happy memories from there... you can see by my sig that we are both hooked on Disney and can't wait til Dec:woohoo:

we hit double digits today....99 days to go

Ahemm..are you askin me to be some sorta love/writer slave in a sick and twisted Disney Trip??? ;) Thought so...and I just have 1 question....when am I heading to the airport?

Okay...need to clarify...that was a joke...don't want no swinger groupies...I prefer rednecks and alzheimer patients...rednecks get lost after the first sentence and have to start over....alzheimer's folks forgot they read my PTR and keep re-reading...either way...helps me move my numbers and I look more popular...:rolleyes1

Okay - do not share your hubby is a firefighter and may need to save lives..only to tell us he is befuzzled about reading a thread vs an entry....are we sure he read the whole firefighter manual or just the front and back when they said "cover to cover?" (Please laugh...I am being punchy this eve...I mean no harm by my out of control mouth :thumbsup2 )anyways we are going in Dec the 4th through the 15th....been planning since March or April and adding days as we go...:rolleyes1 in fact last weekend when he left for work on Sat morning he said and I quote "love you, see you Monday, and babe....don't book any more nights while I'm gone" now this was at 6am so I just acted like I was half asleep and didn't have a clue as to what he meant:idea: :lmao:

Soooo..I am so very excited we will be able to see each other...we are adding dates as well...might end up being a whole 2 week trip...we have family that has 2 homes in Florida - one on each coast - and may be tempted to extending the stay a bit....

Thank you for letting us know that there is 99 days left....

BTW: My son Treyner has very seriously considered being a fireman - he will love to talk to your hubster....:cool1:

my husband loves being a firefighter...has been doing it since he was 18 (he's 38 now) but he will tell your son, go to college, and be a Doctor or Lawyer and make some real money...in most cases firefighting doesn't pay super well (unless you count the self gratitude you get from running into burning buildings when everyone else is running out)... but I for one am proud to say I'm a firemans wife;)
ps...he told me earlier I could do a PTR if I want, as long as I don't make him look bad:confused3 I told him nothing I could say about him could make him look bad:rotfl2: thankfully we were on the phone and he couldn't see the look on my face when I said it:rolleyes1

You are so suave and sophisticated...covert and stealth like...such an undercover agent...a real Jamie Bond if ya will...glad he is not on videophone...:rotfl2:
BUSTED!!!!!!!!

Ahemmm...note to self....

If I plan on making light of silly foibles my loved one may have...do not tell him where to find it....

Okay - so you two made my day and I hope that you laugh at yourselves and I did not create a reason for divorce court...Judge Mabeline is a real @ss kicker....:)

NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT PART:

Da Mick....I have to tell you that I may gather the name is in regards to Mickey...but truth be told...the most wonderfull man in my world since I was born was my grandfather...his nicname was Mick...(real name Elmer and I am so glad I had an altenative) and as soon as your name came up...I showed it to my daughter...

Her middle name is after him (Mickenze) and she and he were very close...every year around her birthday his name/picture/memory will show up in some unusual way....

Today is her 15th birthday....

She smiled so big when I showed your avatar to her....so ...as corny as it may sound...Thank You for taking the time to respond...
:worship:

How sweet! :cutie: Happy birthday! party: Mickenze is a cool name, too. That's a big thing in the south, I realize Florida is not the south, but I grew up in Memphis which is definitely the south, to name people last names of relatives. Unfortunately we have no good last names in our family. :headache: But we also have no kids so we don't have to worry. ;)

All my kids are named after family for the middle names...

Treyner Young - Young is my ex MIL's maiden name
Carsyn Mickenze - Mickenze after my grandpa Mick
Baylor Grae - Grae because we both have the family name Rae in our linneage

love southern names a lot...liked Orry from North and the South...mmmm...need to go rent that miniseries....

Happy Labor Day Weekend to everyone:

I am cleaning house this weekend...hopefully heading to a Casino for a bit o gambling...I am not a gambler...$10 is my limit...so I feel victorious if I come home with $11 :lmao:
and also heading to our Renniasance Festival... I have not been in over 8 years probably...maybe even 10 and will have a blast I am sure...It is the largest one in the States...and when the headliner is "Puke and Snot"... a comedy troupe...ya know it will be silly...if only I had one of those dresses that they wore back then...push the girls out and suck the belly in...why is it that the eighties comes back for fashoin and not something to make us women look skinnier!? :confused3

My kids are heading all over this weekend...Treyner to Wisconsin to 2 cabins...Carsyn to Iowa with her Dad and a friend for fun...and Baylor about 1 hour away to go camping with his good friend which will culminate on Sunday...him flying on a private plane! :scared1:

I am nervous but his Dad and I agreed to let him go...it is a 2 seater...so his friends step-dad will fly the boys seperatley to and from the airshow which is about an hour car ride form the campgrounds...he is a pilot for his day job as well...and I know all the realities about car accidents being more common etc...but it still gives me a small case of nerves...okay who am I kidding...on Sunday I need to be destracted or I will be a mess...ahemm...slight control issues...party of one...slight control issues...party of one....;)

Hi everyone...This is totally not a trip topic so skip unless you want to laugh at people....

Have not done any gambling...or seen any men in tights...well not in public anyway... but I did get a ton of things at home done and went to our state fair again...this time trying the cheese curds, a new tye of ice cream called Nitro with Ghiradelli caramel sauce, pita and Tzatziki dip and a deep friend twinkie with powder sugar and strawberry and chocolate sauce....

I am glad Dan and I shared the food because again...too much for one person..

But as usual...the best is people watching...there is just some people who have no clue on how to match clothes or are able to look in the mirror....maybe we can start a Holiday drive with proceeds going to the mirror-poor....beacsue there is a need and my head hurt from snapping everywhere....I felt like I had a rubberband attached to it...!;)

One lady with no chest wore a yellow sportsbra and a man's white tank top - tied in the back like she worked at Hooters...accented by a bunch of bananas on the front...with jeans and high tops...with cigarettes in her back pocket... :thumbsup2

Then there was a large man - around 500# with orange and black zummies and a much too small, highlighter green/yellow vest like a road construction worker might wear...except he was not working...he was walking...and the only accident he was avoiding was the ones on the street from all of us following him and not the road with our eyes....

Dan - used to be very heavy - he is not a peanut now but was close to 600# before...and like he said...do you not think that people will notice you at that weight without wearing Las Vegas strip signs....pointing to your belly?

Which brings me to this...

We all have been at Disney and worried about clothes...we know that we will be in someone elses holiday cards...my luck...butt to camera....and we Dissers are a glamorous bunch..all have diifferent styles...some more classy...some suave...some silly...and all different shapes...but there is an agenda...

So thank you for not being a sideshow for the bearded woman...whom I saw there as well...actually...she had several back-ups ...kinda like stunt-doubles...next year...I am accosting people with duck tape...

It can be a bo*b lifter...a body waxer...child restraint...and for those women who wear belly shirts...not believing that a flat stomach is needed...it can be a shirt extension...

STOP MUFFIN TOPS! IT IS SACRELIGIOUS TO THE BLUEBERRY! :rotfl2:

:lmao: I like the idea about the shirt extensions...I wonder if you could use it for suspenders for the girls that wear the hiphugger pants 4 sizes to small with their bellies hanging over:sick:

anyways, guess what:confused:
I started my PTR:banana:
it's titled "Love is Blind-But Marriage is a Real Eye Opener!" or "I Don't Do Matching Shirts"
It's no where near as interesting as yours, 'cuz not all of us have your gift of words:lmao:

That's what we call muffin tops...cause it looks like the top of a muffin after it is cooked...ya know...it hangs over the paper holder....:lmao:

I will have to go find it as well...went to the Renasaince Festival today...

Gosh I think men in big billowy white shirts and leggings are hot...and there were Johnny Depp pirates as well as the wenches...I went with Dan and Baylor...we had a blast...Baylor is just old enough to catch pieces off the off color humor...and is interested in girls enough to be in awe of the womens costumery...that he was a few shades of red quite a bit...but it was the era and nothing four letter or too over the top...:)

The best though was watching a glass blower make a beautiful pitcher...and we got it for ourselves...Baylor fell in love with the intricacy of how to make glasswear and he was better behaved than any other 12 year old boy I know...loves artwork and never whined once or asked "Can I" the whole tiime...I offered a few things like Jacobs ladder, tomato toss and the ever popular dueling buckets...which I slipped the girl an extra $5 to ensure both Dan and Baylor got wet...(it's a bean bag toss with bucket throwers above)...they also did a strong man competition...ahem...not the best but I was proud...:3dglasses :teeth:

So that was my day...made pancakes for b-fast...tacos for supper...and now planning first day of school food for Baylor...the other 2 start Wed....cause I like life complicated....ugh!

So....if you all were mid-evil Maids and Masters...what would your name be?

Mine...
Dutchess Daphne....love me some royal pedigree...:worship:

Chapter #1

That's right... Christmas Lights. He is a freak.
I mean the type of Christmas Light Freakie boy (er...I mean man) that starts making 3D diagrams and architect renderings before Labor Day of our house and his lights.

Hi Dawn,

How is the Christmas lights planining coming along?

Hi Dawn,

How is the Christmas lights planining coming along?

Good - we are just in the process of looking at the Holiday stuff and gettin the light stuff sitchiated...I will pass on the info that he has to stop slackin..:lmao: ;)

Here are 2 quick little stories about parenting while stressed:

#1 Baylor was running late for pre-school one winter day...I was doing daycare for 4 other babies /toddlers so I was completely stressed with carseats /snowsuits...blah blah...
I had to drive him...and I was ushering him out the door in a hurry...could not get the coat to zip for the life of me...had a frusterated melt down saying "***...why will this coat not zip!" Baylor is whining...saying it is not comfortable...I say tough...finally say screw the zipper...and struggle to button it...and as I watch him waddle to the car in his boots...I notice his hood...
flapping at his bottom...:scared1:

The mystery was solved...it did not work because I had it on upside down...I laughed and laughed...pointed it out to him...he was laughing...and then said..."I thought you were smart enough to know which way a jacket goes so I did not check." :lmao:

That made it even funnier...cause he was laughing at how stupid his mother is...

#2 When Carsyn was in 3rd grade...she got a Mary Kate/Ashley training bra and panties set...totally was just a cloth bra...no support...but she had friends in gymnastics in 5th grade who needed them...so started getting self concious changing into leo's at the gym...

So I buy her a set...she goes into the bathroom to try it on upstairs...nd walks out with it on...complaining it doesn't fit right and she will not wear it...:headache:

I look at the bra...and it is like a halter with a huge strap around her neck...and then the arm straps...nothing around her back...

I start saying it must be defective...that I hope she did not take off the tags cause Walmart won't take it back...yada yada...

Treyner walks upstairs...(Carsyn was young enough not to be embarrased stading in a 2 piece in front of her brother...) and tells me to calm down....proceeds to walk to Carsyn...had her turn around...hold the bra part against her chest...unsnaps the neck piece...and then re-attaches it around the back...where it should have been... :rolleyes1

He says...you two are not very observant....and walks away...

I never pictured her first bra moment being explained how to put it on by her brother...and to top it off...wanted to know how he knew how to put it on when he was in 5th grade! He said.."I see commercials ya know"...and that my friends...was a parenting moment I will never forget...a bra-wearing woman for over 15 years by then...schooled by a pre-teen boy observant of Playtex bra's! :lmao:

STOP MUFFIN TOPS! IT IS SACRELIGIOUS TO THE BLUEBERRY! :rotfl2:

But...they're so tasty, Dizzy!!!!
