So Paris Hairless went in for teeth cleaning today. Andy went on Monday. After my husband had left on Monday after picking up Andy, some lady asked the vet what had happened to him to have made the vet shave the entire dog. They had to explain to this poor woman that the dog was naturally hairless. I think she was terrified that her dog was going to come out looking like that too.

Sharing more food porn....and Scotlass is so lucky. If she checks in, she gets to see this twice...(also posted on the What's For Dinner thread).

Last night, I went out to dinner with my work colleagues at a restaurant called The Italian. I'm still in a food coma...

We started with drinks at the bar...and you did say to bring drinks (occassionally, right??)

Champagne, which was great because I need a scavenger hunt picture for the category "Bubbles" on the photoboard...

Gin and Tonic...."Imbibement, My favourite". (It's not really....but it fits the category).

A number of my colleagues also enjoyed the Spritz over dinner. I might post this under "Something Orange"

We meandered over to our table and placed our orders. We had antipasto for starters to share....my colleagues destroyed the plates before I could take any pictures...but I got a shot of the calamari. It was delicious and so tender! Sadly, I'm still on the hunt for "Clambake" and might have to resort to putting my own clambake together. The things I do for that hunt!

For each course, we had a number of options to choose from and I've taken as many of the different options as I possibly could without seeming like a food paparazzi (in actual fact Food Nazi fits better)!

Primi

Rigatoni with braised lamb shoulder and rosemary

Porcini Risotto with mascapone and pecorino

Zuppa di Pollo (this was my dish)

Secondi

Wild Barramundi, with borlotti beans and spring onion

Crispy skin roast duckling, with valencia orange sauce

Beef fillet with roasted mushroom and shallot jus (moine, moine, moine)

Dolci

Blu Marte (cheese) with fig paste and grissini

Tira Misu (hands off ladies...I'm NOT sharing!)

Panna Cotta, with berries

The food was delicious! So, out of the above, I get to pick something to fit the category of "Delicious" and "Decadent". And if I don't get round to posting it, I won't care much....I've already posted one round of food porn categories for the hunt. But then...I'm always pretending to be the overa$#chiever!

PiO; that food porn does look good. I wasn't too impressed until we go to the risotto. From them on, I was drooling. I've been on a diet for awhile now (total lost is 14 pounds, got 6 to go) so it's torture thinking about delicious food. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert too, dang you.

Paris Hairless had to have 4 teeth pulled yesterday. My poor little girl. Cresteds have bad teeth; it's the big negative to the breed. She is 6 now. In another few years, I can enter her in the National Ugly Dog Contest. They are always won by a toothless crested.

I am very glad it's Friday.

Pakey, Vegas sounds fantastic! If you hit it big, please remember to give the Ignorami a shoutout during your interview. Would you happen to have ever stayed at the Atlantis in the Bahamas? Trying to get some ideas for our next trip and this is where my traveling companion (the other mom ) wants to go. I'd love to also, but I'm thinking this is way out of our price range.

As for food porn, I'm a steak and potatoes kind of girl. Probably wouldn't eat most of what you posted PiO. However, I behaved like a "big girl" on my Turks trip. I tried a few new things and was surprised that I liked some of them. Darned if I can remember what they were now, but I'm like that most days.

Big fog cover on Saturday morning. It was probably mid 40's when I headed out this morning. Mild cool breeze against my cheeks (and I am talking about the ones on my face) when I walked round the lake.

It's just past 12.30 and the sun is just about burnt away the fog. We're approaching 50 F and are heading to the heady highs of 57 F today.
