Other trip highlights:

1) MK was empty on the Sunday night EMH hours. It was Columbus Day weekend and I thought it would be packed but it wasn't. We stayed until closing at 1am . We did the Halloween party on Tuesday and it was empty too. We rode every ride in the park (except 2) at least once. We stood on Main Street, dead center in front of Casey's, for fireworks viewing and had so much room around us, there was nobody there. I was so tired (no lines to wait in) that I could barely walk by the end of the night.

2) The food was great. The only meals I wasn't blown away with were Via Napoli and the Afternoon Tea at GF, both of which were new for me. The others (Flying Fish, Ragland Road, bluezoo and Il Mulino) are all favorites and they were good again this time.

3) The crowds. Thank goodness I subscribe to touring plans and followed the days. Many reports on here about the horrible crowds but we didn't experience that. Longest ride wait we had was 20 minutes standby for Expedition Everest.

4) The weather. Perfect. In over 20 WDW trips, this was definitely the best weather. Warm enough to enjoy the pools but cool enough to not have to sweat. We spent almost every afternoon at the pool. I had my kindle, read some good books, really enjoyed the pool time.

5) La Cava de Tequila. It wasn't my first visit there but I think there is now a seat with my name on it. We spent an entire afternoon sitting in there enjoying pineapple margaritas on the rocks and eating quacamole. The place was empty (we were the only ones sitting at a table the entire afternoon) and it was a fun treat.

It amazes me how I've gone to WDW so many times and each vacation is so unique. This was one of the better ones, maybe even the best.

While your whole trip sounds fantastic, I want to do #5. :)

...I. stole. some.

Penguin thief.

They finally shut us down. :sad2:

Anyone seen GP around lately? I'm kind of concerned.

Nooooo -- I didn't look yesterday, and I missed it.

I LOVE that.

Love the "new place"! Nice curtains! :lmao:

Hi, Snap!!! :wizard:

I have some news. Don't know if any of you are familiar with John Edward, the psychic, but I got tickets for my mom for Christmas to see him in January.:banana: Of course I can't post about it on Facebook 'cause mom's my friend on there, but she's not here! :woohoo: I'm very excited and hope we get a reading. Of course it's in a big ballroom with a few hundred people but hey, I'm special and my grandmother was one pushy woman when she wanted something. If she wants to come through no one will be able to stop her. :thumbsup2 Can you imagine, and my being so demure and all. :lmao:

So I went and checked GP's status. Says his last post was April 16. I'm not losing my mind am I? I swear he's been on here since then. WTH is going on? Did he get banned? Is he sick? I sent him a message and while back and haven't gotten a reply. I'm really nervous about this. I mean if he got banned, then that's one thing, but what if he's sick or something? Anyone friendly with him outside the DIS?

I was just thinking about GP also. I know he's definitely been on here since April. There was a thread about Old Fogies on here maybe a month ago that he posted on. He never announces his vacations ahead of time so until I hear otherwise, I'm going to hope he's enjoying himself somewhere.

Snap, I'm not sure about the curtains here. I'm thinking that wood blinds would be so much easier to keep clean.

Would you believe that my first visit to CoP was this trip? It was my hold out to saying that I've done everthing. I really liked it. I guess that means I'm old.

PK, the psychic thing sounds fun and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you guys get picked.

Got the list of people who are going to be on our Egypt tour with us. Would you believe that the largest representation is from New Jersey. 5 couples. I hope all of that Aqua Net doesn't hurt the ozone there.

I would distance myself every chance I got. :rotfl2:

Pakey I thought you and ScotLass were staying at the Beach Club? Is that Tequila cave in Epcot?

I know I've seen GP since April!

My sister, my nieces and I saw John Edward at MSG last year - we were in the front row and he looked at us. We were sure we would get a reading, but we didn't.

Scotlass stayed at Wilderness Lodge; I stayed Beach Club.

Tequila Cave is in Epcot. It's inside the Mexico pavilion to the right as you come into the building. They have every tequila known to man and 4-5 appetizers. It wasn't my first visit there and it won't be my last. If you can get a seat, it's a great break with so much better drinks than what all of the kiosks sell. It's pretty popular and usually has a roped line outside waiting to get in but we got so lucky that one day. We walked in at opening (12 noon) and got a table. Crawled back to Beach Club after 3 drinks there.

Just go to JohnEdward.net and click Live Events. He'll be in Secaucus on January 26. Just bought tickets last night so I'm sure there must be some available.

Snap, sorry you didn't get read.

Pictures, we need pictures! I wonder: does Pakey crawl like a lobster?

I'm reading from time to time,

some family issues are requiring me to be away from my office (and hence my internet computer) for a bit. nothing too bad, but time consuming.

......

I'll be back!!!pirate:

GP prayers and pixie dust for you. We'll be seeing you soon! The place just wouldn't be the same without you.
