...are you making fun of us?

No way. I much much prefer driving in the snow than the fog we get here. At least in the snow, you can see what you are going to hit. We have dense fog here. We've had at least 5 fog days now with cancelled school but I still have to get Elvin out of the garage and get out there and drive.

I can remember, several years ago, where it was so bad coming home from work one night that I had to roll down the window and stick my head out so that I could be listening for vehicles while at the same time looking down to find the road divider (white line) because I couldn't see past my windshield. People have been known to be going the wrong way on the freeway because you really cannot see.

They do put CHP out on the freeways to "guide" cars but on the city streets, you are on your own. Left turns when you can't see the oncoming traffic are a lot of fun. Fog days make me miss my SUV (sorry Elvin).

Snap, I'm pretty sure I could eat a whole box of chocolate in one day. In fact, I'd like to eat a whole box of chocolate, but I still have 20-25 lbs left from the baby, so I probably shouldn't. But, I am nursing, so technically, I am still eating for 2 which would make a whole box of chocolate only half a box a chocolate. :goodvibes

Oh no you don't. When I had my son, someone sent me a nice box of See's candy, which I think is the best chocolate. Nobody told me that you shouldn't eat chocolate while breastfeeding. That poor baby. Of course, this could explain a lot about who he is now.

...I know what that's like - I only drove through really bad fog once, at night, down a mountainous CURVY hill that I was not familiar with....talk about SCARY! :scared1:

I admit, there's been a few times that I've actually been crying because I've been so scared. This was the major reason we sold our dream home in the country to move closer to where I work. It was a 40 minute drive under normal conditions and I just couldn't take the fog drives anymore.

I've already had 2 near misses with Elvin. He's so small and he's a silver/gold color which doesn't show up very well in the fog.

I'm ready to go to Hawaii. But I'm glad I'm not going right now as our airport has been closed--due to fog. :sad2:

As if I don't have enough to worry about, now I'm going to worry about you driving in the fog... Stay safe, Pakey!

.....HE-E-E-EY-Y-Y-Y-Y! What about ME?:confused3 I could get hit with an, an, an icicle! They've been known to KILL people!

Hey, I could fall off my chair while posting!!! :scared1:

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: ....good thing I had already put down my juice, or it would have been all over my PC!!

Oh crap, now I have to worry about you slipping in your juice? :sad2:

Don't laugh. Tomorrow I have to worry about ice and snow falling off the top of skyscrapers. It really is dangerous in the City when this stuff starts to fall and melt. Guess I'll be wearing a hardhat!

Oh my goodness, people are trying to dig their cars out of the parking lot, but there is no where to throw the snow, unless you put it on and behind your neighbors car :sad2::sad2: I think my car will be staying still for quite a while.

Kimmar, if someone kills you on one of these threads, don't worry, it won't be with an icicle. :rolleyes1

Our school NEVER gets snow days or fog days, but we get doctor days and dentist days and mom has a headache days.

I like that school. :)

Wickey, get posting!!!!

I'm trying to. Darn work. Gets in my way.

See the Hard Hat quote below.

Hey, I could fall off my chair while posting!!! :scared1:

See -- it is dangerous to post here sometimes, even without the icicles, fog and snow.

Kimmar -- take note, please.

Dang it. I still have 15 posts to go. And, I keep hitting the "you can only post every 40 seconds" thing. Don't they know how close I am?

(14 now!)

Fog, snow, icicles, juice, chairs, skyscrapers!!!!!! Now I'm a nervous wreck! Guess I'll be taking a mental health day tomorrow.

Or I could go outside and enjoy our beautiful 70 degree weather here in Texas. The thoughts of y'alls snow will simply melt away. Aaahhhhh
