....I'm paranoid about buying tix for any event at the Prudential Center - we bought tix to see Blue Collar Comedy (Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy) and, a WEEK before the concert, it was CANCELLED!! BLAM! No expanation or NUTTIN' ...

Had that happen years ago. Bought tickets to see Dennis Miller in AC. Had DH's uncle get us a room. There was some convention in town and there was not one room to be had. Since he was a high roller, he called in a few favors (and threw around a few threats LOL) and got us a room. I was kicking butt at the Blackjack table. Had to leave to get ready. Got to the other casino and there were some Chinese acrobats in there instead. Went back to the casino and just never could get the magic back.

Nope. Apparently Dennis Miller had cancelled out a few weeks prior so they rescheduled a Chinese acrobat troupe for that night. I never bothered to reconfirm that it was taking place. I've never bought tickets for anything that was canceled so it never even crossed my mind.

That's the only reason why I can figure they comped him a room. I know he was frequently in Atlantic City and I'm assuming he must have lost large sums of money. If you win all the time, do they really want you back?
