The "I said I wasn't going to do a PTR...PTR" (Sept '11)

Don't they realize when we are planning our WDW vacations we're not supposed to be getting frustrated....we're supposed to be happy!! I can't believe no one can answer those two very simple questions....WL is looking better and better isn't it

I am sort of kicking myself for changing resorts now. I really want to stay at POFQ though for the King sized beds and to be able to take the boat to DTD. New experiece for us since we didn't take the boat last time but boy, I can't believe that NO ONE can tell me the answer! Frustrating!

I can't believe that there isn't a more recent POFQ thread. In a way, that scares me.

I'm hoping Dave will have fun shopping. Joe loves to shop so he'll be fine, unless of course, I drive him crazy going from place to place.

I have a dilemma. Do I or don't I do another Photo Pass Portrait Session?

I just called Disney's PP desk to ensure that I understand how it works this year. Last year it was a bit confusing because it totally changed. Here is how it works now:

1. You call and book a 20 minute session at either The GF, Poly, WL, Beach Club or AKL.

2. Cost is $99.5 which gets you the rights to the pictures, the CD and a PP card (in case you want to add borders later). They will NOT add it to any PP card that you have already.

3. You can pay an extra $25 for an extra 20 minutes.

We've done this three times. Twice at the Poly and once at WL last year. I really want to do this again, but I also want to pre-order the PP CD to use at the parks. I am hoping that there will be a discount for the park CD again this year. I heard some DISers got it for $49 last year but the lowest I could get was $99 instead of $149 so I was happy with that.

What do you think I should do? Here are some pictures from years past.

I am thinking that we will do it! I think it stinks that they don't do it the old way anymore. All you did was pre-pay for your park PP pics,pay a $50 sitting fee, then get all the pics added to your park CD.

If you pre-pay for a park PP CD, it's totally separate and they will not add pictures from the session to that PP Card.

For $99.95, you ge a separate PP Card with all of the session pictures on it along with a CD of them as well. Ultimately, you will end up with a PP Card that holds all of the pictures from the session separate that you can put borders on later when you combine all of your PP cards on line.
