I hope that Teppen works out for all of us too. You should try and do Cali when you can see Wishes from there.

Hey- stopping by a bit late... love the PTR so far..

I was curious- I saw you had a horrible experience at Cali Grille? We just got back from our trip in January and LOVED it there- its literally the best day of my life! What happened?!

I included pictures of many of our meals during our trip and noticed a few similarities between your trip and mine- I took pictures if you want to check them out... My DBF made fun of me during the trip because I took pictures of our meals so my fellow DIS-ers could check it out!

Hi and to my PTR.

Cali was horrific for us. We were there a few years back with friends. We had an ADR and were seated around 2 hours later. Not to mention, we had to track someone down to take our order. Food came back cold and not edible. Our friends had kids and we were there so long waiting for our food that they fell asleep. We tried to go outside for Wishes and the deck was packed...so packed that you couldn't see a thing and forget about being able to take pictures. All in all, it was horrific. To top if off we were not on the dining plan and it felt like we flushed a couple hundred bucks down the toilet. Joe said he'd never go back but it's been a few years and Stef and Dave suggested that we try it again with them so we're game.

I will be sure to pop over and check out your pictures!!! Joe knows now after all these years that he can't start to eat until I have taken pictures of everything. In fact, we carry more than one camera so that we can have a point and shoot ready for food porn.

Thanks Beka. Joe and I are looking foward to shopping with Stef and Dave. They are both shoppers and so are we so this will be fun times, fun times.

Have you guys been to the Kissimmee junk stores (as we call them)? My mom loves these stores. We find the most amazing stuff there.

You find the best bargains there. We've been going to them for years and years (prob since 2000). So far nothing that I have purchsed there has fallen apart. I am careful and picky though of what I select but dang, you can save a boat load of loot!

I had a few questions so I thought that I would call POFQ directly. I've been all over the internet and so far, have not found the answers to what I'm looking for so I thougth what the heck?

Well, get this, I called three times and the phone just rang, and rang, and rang. No recording, which I hate, but in this case it would have been better than nothing. I was so in the Disney mood today and now I am nothing but frustrated. All I wanted to know was this:

1. What buildings have king sized beds (since we have a ressie for that type of room).

2. Which of the buildings with a king sized bed is closest to the laundry area.

Some may think that I am obsessing about laundry. The real truth is that I am obsession about the baggage rates that we paid last year. It was ridiculous. Going down I think we paid 80 and coming back it was nearly twice that because we had more than the weight limit and an extra bag. We didn't go to UPS for the first time last year and I really don't want to take the time to go this year. I figured if we are close enough to the laundry, I'd just as well do some there because it will force me to take a resort break at least once during our trip.

I have no answers, and I am bummed.

I guess I will try back another time. Depending on what they tell me, we may switch resorts again which is why I'd love to find out now instead of later.

I totally am with you on the horrendous baggage fees!!!! In September when we went, we just barely were outside the booking window of when they raised their rates. (I think if I had booked a couple days earlier we would have been grandfathered in at the lower rate) VERY frustrating!!!

Someone actually answered the darn phone at POFQ. Believe it or not, they could not answer my questions!

I was transferred somewhere else where I am sitting on hold. The CM that came on the line said she has no idea what buildings have the king beds. Not only that, she was floored that no one at POFQ could tell me when I called there and that they transferred me to her group.

So, here I am on hold again because she is going to see what she can find out. Who knew it was going to be this hard? Good thing I started early.

After nearly an hour, I still didn't get my answer. Here is what I got:

Me: Hello, can you tell me what buildings have the King beds at POFQ and of those buildings, which is closest to the laundry?"

CM: The resort would be able to tell you that. Let me transfer you.

Me: Thanks, but I've talked to them and they have transferred me here.

CM: Oh, that's strange, but let me put you on hold and check.

*play music here for a good 5 minutes*

CM: Hello, thank you for waiting. I did find out that buildings 2 and 5 are closest to the laundry. Shall I put in a room request for you now?

Me: Thank you for checking but do both of those buildings also have King sized beds?

CM: I'm not sure

Me: If we were to get in building 2 or 5 and not have a King, what happens then?

CM: Oh, well since you paid for King, that would be the first thing that they'd check and then any special request would come later.

Me: Well, the purpose of my call was to see what buildings at POFQ WITH king beds were closest to the laundry.

CM: We don't know however I can put in a request for building 2 or 5 if you'd like.

Yep, this is how the call went. No clue if we will be close or not.

I'm thinking that I want to move back to WL. I know where everything is there.

Don't they realize when we are planning our WDW vacations we're not supposed to be getting frustrated....we're supposed to be happy!! I can't believe no one can answer those two very simple questions....WL is looking better and better isn't it
