The "I said I wasn't going to do a PTR...PTR" (Sept '11)

Sophia, the plans sound great for your MK day. We enjoyed Liberty Tree for lunch. We've never done dinner because I'm not a big "turkey dinner" kind of gal; but I had the turkey panini and it was very good; Mark had some turkey dinner and great dessert.

And, as you know, we absolutely LOVE the Plaza--a must do every trip for us and usually our last meal of our trip (and I was luckily able to change ours from earlier in the trip to our last day).

We missed EP last year, but I'm really looking forward to seeing it this year...I always enjoyed it and it has been many, many years since we saw it.

My plan is to have a bit of lunch before heading back to the resort for a longer than usual rest. I'll tell you why in a moment.

The plan for lunch is Kringla. OMG, they have some awesome food there if you ask me.

This though, is my favorite.

I know, some lunch, eh?

Oh, and just for good measure I am throwing in this picture. I think it is one of my favorites that I have ever taken. Long story why, but here it is.

See, it took us YEARS to convince my brother to go to Disney with us. He went for the first time in May 2009 and I think the Disney bug has bitten him!

After lunch we will head back to POFQ for a nice long rest because tonight my friends, we are going here!

Next up.....Dinner with Jenn and MNSSHP plans!

You are an updating machine today. Love the Epcot plans (minus the school bread ). Love the photo of your brother in the Viking hat!

Love the MNSSHP...you, Jen and the kids will have a blast.

I'm hoping that the turkey won't be too heavy with the heat and all, but we're anxious to give it a try.

I can't wait to try The Plaza. I was happy that we got the ADR this year!

I haven't seen MEP since the 1970's.

The heat is horrible today so I figured I'd stay in and catch up on my PTR. :rolleyes1

I wish the picture would have come out better, but I love it even though it's not the best.

So, not a school bread fan? I love the stuff!!

Yeah, Kringla pretty much rocks!! Everything there is so yummy, but especially my favorite dessert/ snacky type thing on prop- the always perfect, Rice Cream!! YUMMMMO!!

I can't wait to hear about your plans for the party. And yes, you should give MSEP a shot. ;)

I was just thinking of Kringla when planning my own days. It is the best! I agree the food there is quite tasty. :thumbsup2

I love LTT but like you, I too miss the characters! We still go for the food too!

Couldn't agree more about Kringla...we went for the first time last Sep when I read about how wonderful it was in a TR ... and both of us loved it! The Plaza is also a new find for us...unfortunately we don't have it booked this time around:sad2:

You have some great times planned!!

Aww look at DF all smart for his formal, great pictures of the fam :)

Day 5 sounds great, we might see you guys there as it's our Epcot day too, hoping to make it for rope drop :)

Those first couple fireworks pictures are so cool! I love how the bursts take up the whole shot. :thumbsup2

Don't boycott the MSEP! I know a lot of people prefer Spectromagic but MSEP is a classic. It's worth seeing atleast once.

That'll be fun going to Olivia's and seeing OKW. I actually really liked it when we stayed there in March and wouldn't mind staying there again. It's a really pretty resort!

Joe and I have started a tradition. For the last few years we have gone to the Grand Floridian Cafe for dinner on our anniversary. Sometimes we go alone, sometimes with friends. This year, we're going with friends! I can't wait!

We're dining with Jenn, Bob and the kids and our new friends, Chuck and Mary. Funny thing, we met on the DIS yet we live pretty close to each other. We've become friends and in fact, they were here a few weeks ago and we're going to their place in a couple of weeks to talk more Disney. I don't have an electronic picture of them which bums me out!

I am again this year struggling with my desire to order a specialty cake. I want one....BAD! I'm thinking of a white almond cake with strawberry cream filling and white buttercream. So far I've always had fondant and stamped Mickey heads however this year, I think I just want a white buttercream frosting. I am thinking that I'd like it to be decorated with pale pink, yellow and peach colored roses. Here is last year's cake. It was pretty but man, I hate sunflowers.

I just don't know if I should get one this year or not. Anyone have any ideas of what to decorate it with instead of roses?

After dinner I would really love to take a carriage ride through POR resort. We did this in 2005 and really loved it.

Here is a picture.

I'm trying to think of other ideas to surprise Joe with on our anniversary. Something different. Something that we haven't done yet. Anyone have suggestions?

Next up, Day 3 plans.

Sophia, We are also looking forward to another visit with you. It is so nice having friends like you. We are also looking forward to meeting Jenn, Bob and the kids. Thanks for inviting us to your celebration dinner. Mary

I love Kringla. I think most people don't realize that though. Seems that they think it is more of a dessert place. Yummy!
