The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

Hello BWV owners! We just became DVC owners and booked our first stay with points at BW this August. I see there is now a message that Leaping Libations will be closed, and that they will be putting a temporary bar in the Luna Pool area. Has this happened before? Do they usually also offer food and refillable beverages when they do this refurbishment?

Bummer - we are there in mid August

I had a countdown to just this day and watch multiple videos and read so much advice on how to book DVC especially if there is a specific room you want!! 😂😂 This is a 3 part operation which all culminates in convincing my wife to buy more Points after this trip 😂😂😂
Operation Boardwalk Villa complete, commence Operation More Magic

Here now, and the planters are back around the corndog stand. Bake shop not open. No sign of activity on either. But they are repairing a section of Boardwalk flooring near the deli. Very diligently.

Regardless, it’s lovely to be home. No construction noise issues. We are staying in a pool/garden view studio room that faces Luna pool, and the only significant noise we have encountered is thunder! The refurbed room is quite nice. We are using the coffee table as a table, and it’s been working well for us so far. Good amount of room for two.

Had our first boardwalk view stay (only 3 nights) and was upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom. I didn't look closely at the MDE app so the surprise walking into the room was immense (I initially thought I entered the wrong room somehow).

Strangely, it didn't have a murphy bed and instead the kids had to make due to with the pull-out sofa. We were not going to complain though! I'm completely spoiled by the kitchen and W/D availability.

Due to the heat in July we did late nights and slept in every morning. Was surprised to hear the music along the boardwalk start up at 9 am daily as I never noticed it the rest of the day. Not unpleasant, just unexpected.

Were you in a first floor room?

2nd floor (right above the closed Big River Grille Space, I believe).

As an aside, we watched a few people play the boardwalk games, but not many as they seemed overpriced ($10 for 5 basketball shots, $20 for 12). I honestly think if they halved those prices more than 2x as many people would play. And people playing would encourage others to also join in. That could change the vibe without really costing more in overhead (prizes that cost $.50-1.00). Also, if they added a boardwalk or even Disney logo to the prizes people would be even more likely to play.

We were there for 4 nights during the 4th of July and I will say that the Boardwalk music one thing that I noticed this time that I hadn't noticed before. I love it though! We brought breakfast from the Boardwalk Deli one morning and ate it in the BelleVue Lounge and they have the same music playing from the vintage radios along the bookcases. I think the music really adds to the theming.

that would be great. They need a Taffy puller stand too. Let's make it true Boardwalk.

We lived in Columbia, Md for several years and would go up to Wildwood, NJ and Ocean City, Md. Kids loved it.

I have stays booked in a pool/garden view studio Oct 28-Nov 2 and January 28-Feb 2. Would love to be upgraded to a 1 BR but doubtful. LOL

Hi gang. We are new BWV owners and booked our first Villas side vacation for May ‘25. We have stayed in the inn side the past few years and fell in love with the place. We wait listed a 1 bedroom boardwalk view for our May ‘25 trip and that just came through this past weekend.

Since this will be our first time staying “on” the boardwalk, what are your suggestions for room requests? Floors or locations? Thanks in advance!
