The Tangerine Daquiri was one of my favorite drinks in June and the Welsh Dragon is on my must-have list for next June! I want us to eat at Rose and Crown so I am definitely remembering the sticky toffee dessert!

Yeah I truly think thats how I made it through! At home I hide from the rain but in Disney I was all up in it!

Oh my gosh, I now want to go to the R&C just so I can have a Welsh Dragon. It looks fabulous. My rule with drinks is that the more neon it is, the more I want it!

I think you can get it at the pub, I'm pretty sure you can! Thats an awesome rule!

The phone rang at 7am sharp. I hung up on Mickey, Stitch- whomever. The ring was what I needed to wake me up. I def feel like I have more energy when I am in Disney, even when I was solo. I was up and showered and ready to go out the door by 8am. And yes I remembered the extra camera battery this time and grabbed another 99 cent poncho for my bag. I had hopes of staying out all day, somewhere, even if it was lounging at a resort somewhere, I had little reason to come back to Pop.

On the way out , by the elevator on the 4th floor I took some pics… foggy ones but pretty neat ones if you ask me.

Was it that foggy out? Nope, just dumb me not realizing that the lens was fogged up. No real coffee will do that to ya!

I had a date with myself for breakfast! This was one of my fav planned mornings because I would be getting one of my favorite breakfast things in WDW….Tonga Toast! I hopped on a MK bus and was off to the Poly in a jiffy via my favorite mode of transport.

I am in love with the Poly. I think it is my favorite resort on property…ok top 3 but still. I can’t ever get enough of it. I wandered around a bit on my way to Capt Cooks.

I thought I figured out the weird ordering system at Capt Cooks until I went up to the counter where you get the food and was standing waiting when the lady told me to go to the register first…oops. So in no time I was Tonga Toast in hand on my way to find a seat. Fay had not graced me with her watery ways yet so I went outside to sit. I ended up a bit too near a garbage pail but it was dry and I was happy. I then decided to picture message my hubby who was at work so he and his boss (a big Disney fan too) could be properly jealous of my breakfast!

Man I love that stuff! And then I remembered how filling it was and that the human leftover machine (DH) wasn’t with me so this is what was left….

Sorry for the half eaten food. I thought it necessary to show how much I left. I cursed myself for not bringing my refillable mug with me but carrying it all day making my bag bulky was not an option so the small water bottle I drank my crystal light packets from was fine. I considered filling that bottle with some juice from the machine but didn’t know if anyone would wig out. I didn’t go thirsty that was for sure. I should have stopped at the coffee bar for Kona coffee but spaced on that too and didn’t plan on heading upstairs again as I’d be busing it to my park destination.

I decided to walk around in the gift shop and see what they had. I was aimlessly wondering, looking at all the purdy Poly stuff, when a lady comes up to me and says “Kat?” . It was a DISer! kimisabella to be exact! We chatted for a bit and I met her DH and 2 girls (who were cuties BTW). Hopefully I was coherent and polite to them as I was still a bit groggy. It turns out I probably ate breakfast at the same time as them! We chatted for a few and before parting took a pic. Yep I remembered a pic!

I took a few more pics of my beloved Poly on my way out to the bus for DHS. I was messing with the foliage setting bear with me I’m new at the photography.

The bus didn’t take too long and soon I was in DHS. I think it wasn’t past about 9:30am. I headed right for TSM, since I was dying to get on it! Not before stopping for a PP pic because it was only drizzling out there were actually PP photographers out!!!

So I am all set to head to the single rider line and really excited about it! When I get to the CM and start to ask if this is where I go in he says “no we are not doing single rider anymore”. Um hello? Why does it say “Fast Pass & Single Rider”?????? I was miffed but it was too darn early to argue so I got on the stupid standby line. I wanted to get on this ride that bad. I text DH and his boss relayed a msg to me to wait out the stand by, that it was worth it. What else could I do?

I can’t say enough about how friggin neat-o the queue was! So much to see, such neat stuff. I was loving it and took a lot of pics!

Here’s where things go wrong. They make an announcement that the ride is down but should be back up shortly. I stay in line with hope and watch lots of people leave. That’s how I got all the way to Mr. Potato Head. He stopped working, I took that as a bad sign but then they made the announcement that it was up and running again… as soon as we cheered they changed their minds and told us all to file out the way we came in…no TSM for Kat this day! I was bummed. I only waited about 15 minutes on the queue but I really wanted to ride! There was always the rest of the week.

It was raining now, but I refused to don that poncho. I darted in and out of shops and made my way to (as Lessa put it) the “secret back way” into the Animation Studio…why? Because it’s dry in there, that’s why! There were actually a ton of characters out so I decided to go crazy on the PP!

I wanted a picture with this guy but no one was around to take it…he’s so cute!

My character mojo was awesome as there were a lot of pairs of them doing photos which I hardly ever see!

Stitch was in a corner and when I went down to see him they decided to move him so he took me by the arm and lead me over to the other spot, the PP photographer snapping away! It was soooooo cute!

The drawing class just went in as I was finishing up the characters so I plopped on a bench and relaxed for a while. I asked a CM when the Incredibles were coming out, since I have never met them, and decided to wait for them. Again dry won out, so did sitting down. I was getting weird water feet issues too, so I blister blocked the feet as a precaution. Eventually a line formed for The Incredibles and I hopped on it. While I was in line I ran into Lessa and her family! I had actually seen her and her brothers taking pics with the Wall-E. We said a quick hello. Soon the super hero family was heading my way! I was little kid excited to meet them!

I got some weird looks when I posed and some snickers but I think the photo was cute! I had a great time with them! It was the only character interaction I noticed weirdness from people since I was alone. Oh well, I got over that the first day solo!

It was about 11:20am and I had a lunch ADR for noon. I decided to see if the GMR was a long wait, and it was over and hour so I skipped it! I stopped in the center under the hat and for no reason at all took this:

I gave up around 11:40 and headed to my ADR at The Brown Derby. It was empty because it was early and the wonderfully sweet man at the counter said it would be no problem. No sooner than I wandered a bit in the lobby he called me to go in for my lunch! He even called me Miss Kathy" which I thought was adorable!

May I just say this place was BEAUTIFUL!! I would never have come here if I was with others, as we usually do the DDP and its 2TS credits, but solo I was headed for some appetizers! I had a nice seat in the upper section looking out over the whole place, it was lovely. I had a very cute waiter too!

I had a glass of the Fess Parker Chardonnay. Yummy!
I ordered the smoked salmon app and the coconut shrimp app.

Oh My Gravy were these heavenly!!!!!!! The salmon was melt in your mouth good. I loved every bit of it. They were def enough food for me but desert was calling. If you can’t treat yourself on vacation when can you right?

This is the Bananas Foster White Chocolate Toffee Tower...or some other order of those words…it was amazing is what it was.

While I was eating desert I think the moans of pleasure made the 2 woman in front of me look back because they asked what it was. We got to chatting and turns out they were CMs just having a nice lunch. One of them ordered the same desert and we both raved to each other about it. I paid the bill (about $42 bucks), tipped the cute waiter well and was on my way back into the park.

DSIL was looking at the menu for BD and completely skipped appies , entrees and went straight to THAT dessert !!We are hoping to go in Sept and now I can show him what his dessert looks like !! Great update Kat, that stinks about TSM, but the same thing happened to us as well, but we were almost on the freakin ride when all the lights when out, I mean everything, it was completley black in there and everyone started freaking out and taking out their cell phones to provide some light - the lights came back on and everyone had to leave, they didn't even give us fastpasses, I was so mad!

Yea for you for taking character pictures by yourself! It's your vacation. Who cares what anyone else thinks? I love the BD too. Not only is the food wonderful, the atmosphere is lovely. Maybe I was meant to grow up in the 30's-40's with the dressing up to leave the house, women wearing hats, and drinking (and smoking, I don't but still) all the time.
