The "I Didn't Get To That" But Still The Best Trip Ever! **Final Thoughts 1/27/09**

Hey Kat!
I'm all caught up! I loved the pics of you and KC. And the pics of you when you were little! My sis had Sberry Shortcake EVERYTHING when she was little. SO cute!

I'm really looking forward to meeting you on our trip.

If it matters, I totally vote for Casey's for dinner and then a BIG cookie from the bakery.

Hey CE and I are both planning DHS for this day too:woohoo:

Awesome! As added bonus!

No, I'm totally serious - it's a GREAT airport! Ranked #1 over and over in some business traveler poll. :thumbsup2 Good shopping, nice decor, CLEAN and lots of art.

Great! I was nervous for a min there!

I really enjoy it, but I think I'm in the minority. I like the rotating live exhibitis they have, plus the neat-o sound rooms.

I think I am going to check it out, AK seems like a place I can really wander in esp. alone.
OMG, you are soooo stkinin' cute! :cutie: Weren't sundresses the best ever? :goodvibes

Is Cindy in rehab, too?! :rotfl:

Aww thanks! I know I lived in sundresses as a kid!

If you're going to MK, what about Columbia Harbor House?

Thats my fav CS in MK.....I have never had Casey's tho, I dunno ! :rotfl:

I think I may have to get a cookie ice cream sandwich from the bakery!!!

Ok Let's plan Day 2 kids!

Tuesday August 19th

AK Morning (Park opens 9am)

Must do:
Everest
Nemo Show
Planet Watch

Lunch Flame Tree BBQ

Afternoon break

Evening @ Epcot (park closes @ 9pm, EMH till 12 midnight, IROE 9pm)
7:20pm Rose & Crown (still trying for something closer to 9pm..I'll keep calling)

So as far as this morning goes I def want to ride Everest. I have been itching to ride it again since last time. I was wimpy for 2 trips and never rode and after I did I loved it! I would love to see the Nemo Show as well (saw Lion King last time). I have never taken the train over to Rafiki's before..is it worth it??

I am thinking if I don't really feel like staying in AK after Everest then I will head over to MK sine I usually go there first on every trip.

Ok thoughts and ideas??????

Don't think I have to tell you, but it's going to be hotter than...well you know what I mean.

Animal Kingdom is the hottest park with the least amount of A/C attractions.
You're idea of going early is good.

Ride EE
See Nemo

Perhaps do a trail or two

Have lunch and then get the heck out of there.....

Planet Watch.....skip it. That's just my two cents.

Your childhood photos must bring back some great memories. You were as cute then as you are now.

I vote Columbia Harbour House.....:thumbsup2

I might be having a tuna sandwich from CHH and some hot dog bites from Casey's. Compromise.

Yea so very true.... i am really just interested in Everest and Flame Tree and maybe Nemo...other than that we shall see. I plan to hide indoors mid days either way.

Awwww shucks...you're too sweet!

Awesome, we can stalk each other this day as we will be in DHS all day.

NICE! I think I may have made it my fantasmic night because of your plans. :thumbsup2

Two very good choices! :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes

Very cool! Is there anything you can tell me about the food court? I passed by Capt Cooks only once on the way to the Luau. I hoped to find a place to relax and eat but figured i'd wing it since I don't know my way around.

Ok let's keep the look back idea going...

December 2007-January 2008. We went for Christmas, to see all the decorations. Also because my mom had passed in April and I needed a vacation! We stayed at Pop & moved to CSR mid week. It was CROWDED but beautiful and I'm still thankful we did it just once at Christmas time. We were also celebrating our Feb Anniv early, it was 2 years for us.

This is the first time we are staying at the Poly, so I've never been to the food court before, I do know that you order through a touch screen, and they have a dole whip self serve!! I'm sure if you go on any of the Poly threads, they would have more info on the food court.

Yeay, more pictures from past trips!!! Had to laugh over the fez picture since, as you know, my Connor was drawn to trying them on also!!!

Did you love CSR and Pop? We loved staying at both of them -- of course, I can't think of a Disney resort that we've stayed at that I haven't loved.

We were there at that time. Wonder if we crossed paths and never knew it?
We were the ones with a stroller!
Do you remember us now? :santa:

I sure wish I had another Christmas trip marked on this year's calendar, but it's not happening. We're going at Thanksgiving, though, and that will be fun. Chef Mickey himself will be preparing our Thanksgiving Day dinner! After that, unless I can talk a friend into going with me at Spring Break, the wait will be all the way to next summer. (Jill is planning another baby for next year, so she's not making any Disney plans for 2009 - girls' only or otherwise - trips until late summer.)

Loved seeing the pictures. That tree in front of Animal Kingdom was cool!

I saw the dole whip, I swear I stopped dead in my tracks and drooled all over the hallway. I wonder if it's running that early in the morning. lol. But the fact that you can get Tonga Toast there (and cheaper than at Kona) is just awesome, I am so looking fwd to it!

Yeah I make everyone do the fez pic...it's a tradition now.

I really enjoyed both resorts. I have to say CSR was really like a vacation in a vacation, it felt like you were miles away and not in WDW. Just awesome.

Oh that was you?! ;)

Hey Thanksgiving sounds like a great time to go!! Who better to cook your dinner than Mickey!? I use every holiday/birthday/anniversary as an excuse to go.
