The "I am Banned from VMK" Thread.

Well, two things. First of all, do you know how far back in line he was? If he was way back in line and he had to say three numbers to express that, that may have triggered it. From what I've read/seen, typing three or more numbers in a row sets something off.

Second, I'm 99% certain that a 2 hour ban doesn't affect eligibility to be a CL. I think it has to be for at least a day.

I think he was behind twenty so it may have sounded like an age. Also I think he replied once to her and his number changed so right away he typed a new number.

I did receive back e-mail from VMK_Shorty saying after checking the log it was a fair and just ban and that he needs to read the rules and not give out any personal information so he doesn't get banned again. Sounded very form-letter like and didn't even address the issue.

And thank you for the information about the 2 hour ban not affecting the CL potential. I appreciate your response.

sorry you were banned but giving out your email address is the game is an automatic 10 year ban.

Hey all!

My parents kinda banned me from VMK and the DIS, but I still get to play on the weekends if I want. Not playing doesn't really bug me anymore though, and I think I got my life back. (Sep. 2005 - Dec. 2006 I lost my life ) So I'll be back once in a while, and I think back for good eventually.

Oh and about the staff can't be other players friends I know it's true to some point I only heard of LoLo having normal friends and my friend not a CL_ even said VMK_LoLo no spaces she is lucky.

Okay, i admit it I was banned (. I'm SO mad! It's for 10 YEARS ! how can they ban a person for 10 YEARS?! I just don't understand! All i did was tick this kid off bc i wouldn't trade with him, and he reported me for telling him my email address. (my friend told me all of this bc she was there at his house) and now im banned until March 7th, 2016!!!!!!!!!!! this TOTALLY sucks. I had a full blue dress, crown, cowboy hat and pants, 20,000 credits, 5 star fireworks and ghost magic, 150 really awesome friends. 2 bird hats, VMK_Flamingo, and HOST_Phinny as my friends. and TONS more! And boom, banned for 10 years. I made a new file and now i have, 11,000 credits, gold teleporters, 7 rooms, 150 friends, full cowboy suit, 5 star fireworks magic and 2 star ghost magic. ANd lots more. but im still really mad

sAme like me except im banned until 1-23-2017. This stinks like half the people do weird stuff that breaks the rules and yet vmk bans us for stupid little things. I got banned like a month ago. I think it was like January 20, 2007 and i got banned because i didnt trade with a kid and he wanted the pin and i said no but he banned me because i said a bad word which i didnt even say. All i say was no! I hope that boy gets banned.

vmk is really only banning IP adresses, that means you go to your friends house or a diffrent internet provider and log on, it should work, remember, you didnt hear this from me.

Im sure many people will find this offensive. You should have not done whatever you did to get yourself banned. Don't blame vmk.

Sounds like they might have got the ban right. I am sure they reviewed the logs based on the complaint that you were implicated in and felt it was just. Your only option is to use the contact feature to give them your side but it sounds like you helped hatch the plan which in itself is against the values to encourage nother to do it even though you changed your mind.

I posted here last week that "friends" of my sons got into his VMK account help themselves, by trading to their characters, as it turns out over 100 of his items (at last count or least that's what's been returned so far) .We reported them, changed passwords as you all suggested, set him up with a new character and now he is banned (NOT THEM) for 10 years-someone please explain the logic in this to me. I do not let him play without me right there so I know other than being devestated he did nothing to them in return I am at a loss -now what do we do -it states the computer is banned so does that mean he can use another computer and get on??? We wrote to VMK, we used the report button on VMK and yet they aren't banned and he is-I just do not get it??? Help-Any answers, suggestions????

First off were you banned on your new account or old one? If it was the new one then that may be from transfering all your stuff there. They may have mistaken that account as the ' friends. ' I suggest writing a letter into the black hole, hoping your account will be recovered.
