The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Okay... Names.. I think we have narrowed down to a couple of girls names..
Jasmine
Anastasia

Boys names? No clue. But here are the ones I like.
Zacharias
Stefan or Steven
Mattias
Elias

Theme? Most are Greek. With the exception of Jasmine, of course. Apparently... its our theme. Alex and Mikalahs names are both Greek. Well.. If you take the H off the end of the girls name. No IDEA. I thought Alex was a Russian name. NOPE. I also thought that Anastasia was a Russian name. Again.. NOPE. So we might as well go with it, right? But I might still choose Jasmine. SUCH a pretty name.

Hey... I like Greek food.. I like Greek names. What are ya gonna do? :lmao:

Zach and Elias are cool names. Are you sure you won't name your DS Daniel Jackson? J/k!! :rotfl:

Good Afternoon Hyenas!!!

It's been a nice quiet day. Took Kaitlyn to Marshalls, and found some great deals on clothes. Bought me a couple of cute Christmas mugs, and underneath the Marshall tags were ones from TJ MAX's. Must be owned by the same company. :confused3

Hope you all had a nice weekend!

Looked it up .. yep same parent company. They own a few other stores Home Goods and Home Sense as well as a Europe version called TK Max.

I like both girls' names, very pretty. (Jasmine is a common name in DH's family, though of course it's Yasmin or Yasmeen.)

Of the boys names I think I like Elias the best. These are just the kind of names I like, a little unusual but not REALLY ODD, you know? No Pilot Inspektor. :lmao:

Ooooo! How about Puggsly and Wednesday? :rotfl2:

Well that's too weird! My bosses nicknames are TJ (Tod, Jr.) and TK (Tod K(middle initial).:lmao: So basically I call them TJ Mac & TK Mac! Mac being short for their last name that starts with Mc.

Cute names Megan. We had the coolest name picked out for DS (if he would have been a girl). My mom's name was Lynda and MIL is Johanna. So if he was a girl we were going to name her Hanna Johlyn (the grandmother's names scrambled up).

DD's middle name is Rose, after her great grandmother. DS's middle name is Edward, same as his dad, his grandfather and it was also his great grandfather's first name.

My nephew is named Dylan, which is my mother Lynda's name scrambled up.

I love having family names carried on.:lovestruc Sort of a bridge from the past to the present.

My middle name is Lynn, a play on my mother's first name Lynda. My mother's middle name is Joyce, which is her aunt's first name.:thumbsup2

Either I come from a very sentimental family...or we completely lack creativity!:rotfl:

My best advice to you Megan is to pick a name that is included on the bicycle license plates, toothbrushes or keychains. I never hear the end of it that my kids can't buy anything that is personalized because DD's name is spelled unusual and DS has an unusual name.:lmao:

Went to town with my neighbor today. We wanted to go check out a brand new Goodwill store. It's right off the freeway and the sign has been up for about 2 months now. We pulled up and it's in the old Long's Drug Store building that they are completely remodeling. The sign on the front say's Opening Soon! GRRR!!! Made us mad we drove 15 miles to find an opening soon sign. Trust me I am going to send an email and express my displeasure.

Anyway, we went to Walmart & Fred Meyer instead. I swear I don't know what is wrong with Walmart's computers. Every time I go it won't approve my credit card! But then 1 hour later I was at Fred Meyer and I had no problems. It's very frustrating. Anyway, got DS a Clue game for xmas. It was on sale for $10 and I had a $2 off coupon. So that was a pretty good deal for $8.:thumbsup2

Where is everyone tonight?

Hiding.

Actually, I was reading my Facebook and left a return message to my DNThe Marine, he had a recent pic up.. told him he looked like crap, because he did. It's sad, he looks like he has matured a bit more in just the two months he has been there. Haggard from lack of sleep.
At least he has internet access just about everyday, but the time varies as to when he is "on". I'm guessing they vary their schedules on a rotating basis.

Then I sent him off a Motomail as it dawned on me that I hadn't sent one for a few weeks- bad Auntie! Hopefully they don't have a problem at his station to download and print. He will get it in a few hours, slick technology and free to boot. :goodvibes

I was thinking of bring this idea to my family: Instead of gifts for everyone or a name exhange... let's send a few boxes of goodies to DNTheMarine. But we would need to send it NOW to get it there before the holiday rush if we want it to be a Christmas theme.. guess we can call it "Wishful Spring" instead ;)

My moms middle name is Joyce.. So is Mikalahs. :thumbsup2 We talked about doing family names this time around... but there isnt any one we like well enough to name the kids after. :rotfl2: Alex and Mikalah are named after my mom and dad... Frelan doesnt want to name the kids after his family.. Thank goodness. Freaking crackpots. :scared:

Okay... Awesome. I have a stroller planned out, and the co-sleeper/crib thing I want to get. I was pretty sure before, but now I am totally sure. Plus... i found one website that sells them both, AND I get credit from Sunshine rewards by buying through them!:cool1: I am happy as a clam. Well... as happy as I can be at the thought of spending a few hundred $ on baby stuff. :headache:

This guy that dh works with, The one that has triplets...is giving us a bunch of baby clothes, and a double stroller. :thumbsup2 (for older babies..) He offered us his triple stroller, and dh was like... uhhhh.. no thanks. Only 2... that we know of!:lmao: Storing that thing must be BEASTLY!:rotfl2: I think they should totally try to sell it online. They bought it brand new for over a $1000. :scared:

What else.. car seats... and clothes... and diapers. bottles. wipes. Even though i am going to do my DARNEDEST to nurse... I think a case or two of formula wouldnt be such a bad idea. Blankets.... cant forget those.. Oy. I need to go shopping. :headache:
