The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Yes. Well, catching up on ironing it now. I have the last load in the dryer. I had a goal to make all of the suitcases disappear by the end of the day and it worked. I've never done that. Usually we slowly unpack and use things out of the suitcases as we need them but for some reason I just wanted them up and my house back to normal.

I have this after Disney feeling that I get after Christmas. Sometimes after Christmas I just want all the decorations put up as soon as possible and the house back to normal. Thats how this is. Unpack and get the house back. I guess 2 weeks of living out of suitcases will do that to me. :lmao:

I can see that. So you guys had a fantastic time, huh? :thumbsup2

Oh yes we had a great trip. Jake was a stinker the whole trip. We took pictures when he was rotten. :lmao: Sometimes he stuck his lower lip out so far we could have pulled it up over his head. :sad2: I'll say more about it in my TR.

One thing it did do was definitely put the thought of ever moving back to FL out of our mind. We had been wondering if this trip would make us miss living there but it didnt. It was nice to vacation there but I would never live in FL again. I could not take the humidity and watching the news at night reminded me why I moved away in the first place. Its scary. :scared1: So that was nice. Coming home to AZ felt like home. :goodvibes

The actual day was a bit of a dud. DH was sick, and I was still recovering from being sick. We had my family coming over the following weekend to celebrate anyway, so no big deal.

So on Saturday we celebrated my birthday as well as my nephew's (he turned 11) and my niece's (his sister, she turned 9.) And my other brother had just returned from Cambodia with his fiancee and baby, so we finally got to meet them. Etienne is a pudgy little cutie! :rotfl:

Shawna!!!!!!!!! Hey lady!!! I got your post card!!! Thank you! Mikalah has been sitting staring at it for a few days.. I wanna go to Didneywand wold. ;) Ask your father. :lmao: How are you???? Tired???

Welcome back Shawna!

WTH Dizzy?? That's kinda freaky to lose a doc that way?? But very cool that the school district is making a real effort -- above and beyond the standards-- wooohoo! I don't see why they would keep him for a repeat, if he is making progress on his IEP then he should be good to go.. and it sounds like he is doing very well :goodvibes

Awesome deal Alison! I love when a deal comes along that you are not expecting, does your store put tags under products to show if you will get a "catalina" on certain product purchases (the coupon that spit out at checkout is out of a machine with the words "Catalina" on the side.. so in the couponing world, we call those "cats") ? It's usually a small tag that says "Buy 2 and receive $2 on your next order" or something like that. hmm, I ownder if our area is participating in a Kellogg's promo. I know we have a good one on Glade scented oil plug in, they cost around $4, there is a coupon fomr ads that is B1G1free and another for $4 off.. then it prints out a cat for $4!

At my sister's baby shower 6 years ago, I had this idea that I thought was so great! I bought a bunch of tiny plastic babies from a party store and froze them in ice cubes and put the cubes in a bowl of punch! How cute would that have been?

Well, I think we should have used another color for the punch other than red, because when the ice cubes melted, it just looked like a baby massacre. :rotfl:

I pulled this off the stupid baby shower games thread....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So DS4 came home from preschool today with a note from the director. It seems a child in the elementary school has lice, so they want parents to check their kids for lice. The preschool is in a separate building, but the preschoolers do have specialty classes (like Spanish and library) over in the main building, so they want us to check our kids, too. UGH! How revolting!

so whats new??? Any one care to entertain me? ;) I am so bored.. I think my head might fall off. DAMN!!!! I just dropped my remote in caramel.

They dont have a nurse that does checks? Way back when I was a youngun.. they had nurses do checks. But then... I dont recall them doing checks at Alex's school either.. So maybe it was just back in the stone ages.

I don't think I'm terribly entertaining this evening. :)

I watched a bit of the debate this evening, but I gather I missed the good part, which came in the last hour. :confused3

my TV has been tuned into cartoons for the evening. Well.. Except when we were watching J&K plus 8. That woman drives me NUTS. So do those whiny kids. My kids would so be sold to the gypsies if they acted like that.

I did book airfare for our trip to DL in December! In fact, DH had a reservation last weekend, but was supposed to pay by Sunday or Monday, and forgot! So we lost the reservation.

When i checked today, the fares were lower! :woohoo:
Not a ton, mind you, but we probably saved at least $200.
