Well thanks a lot Bernice! I just deleted the Mousesavers newsletter, don't want to even be tempted. And then I come here and you give me the highlights!

So....I called DS's doctor to get a refill on his prescription. Kept trying for nearly a week (we cannot run out). Finally his DR answers the phone, and lets me know that the sheriff came, locked his doors and I should find a new doctor . On a plus note he called in 6 refills for the prescription

WHAT??!! Is his office being foreclosed or his his rear being hauled to jail? Guess that might make a big difference.

So, since I am hardly here to talk anymore, I think I will just talk to myself.


Here is a crazy story. The other day, I was in the car with the kids (DH was in the store). I had a $20, $10, $5 and $1. I asked Alecia how much money this was. She started counting aloud, said "$20" and was about to continue in sequence - Alec sitting next to her blurted out, plain as day $36


So I removed the $10, and asked again. Alecia started to do the same, when Alec blurted out $26

You know, I kinda like that little tike. You are always saying I can babysit him anytime. So do you think that maybe I can borrow him for a bit?? No need to mail him clear up here. I'm thinking that if you just mail him to The Mirage Casino in Las Vegas, I can pick him up and we can spend a little "quality" time together at the blackjack table.

Oh and welcome back Shawna to the land of Un-make believe! We were talking about your post card's last night. I think everyone got them, Pix wants to go to Epcot and Alex & I want to hang out on the Lazy River at TL.

DANG! I knew I needed to do something at lunch today and I completely forgot. DD needs a waterproof cover for her cast so she can shower instead of taking baths.

Tonight I'm going to a different fly fishing club meeting, so maybe I'll have time to stop and get it on the way over there.

BTW, heard a great way to remember things on the radio this morning. If you have something you need to remember, just remove your wedding ring from your left hand and put it on your right hand. It will feel really weird all day long and you will know every time you look at it that you can't forget (insert forgotten item here). So I just put my wedding ring on my right hand, we'll see if it works. Geez, hope I don't forget my hand at work tonight!

Kewl! My kids are apparently having Disney withdrawals. DS was asking when we were going to WDW next? Told him probably in April on spring break. DD pointed out that their AP's for DL expire in February, so we should go one more time before they expire.

I really wanted to go this month. But now I'm glad I didn't because all of the insurance & property tax bills are hitting.

Ok I came home to a mess. Did the world fall apart while we were on vacation?

First, Jeff's store is in shambles. 1 of his assistant managers quit last Tuesday. They decided not to tell Jeff over the phone and stress him out. They just brought in a replacement. No big deal right. Well, 2 days ago the regional manager came in and fired the other 2 assistants that were left. Jeff is left to run the store alone when normally there are 4 managers. Yikes. They said they will get someone hired when they have the chance. I'm so worried this is the beginning of the Panera takeover and such. His regional manager just came over to our house to dump this hill of beans on us but said she did not want Jeff going into the store to check on things. He was scheduled off today as well and rturning to work tomorrow. He has to go get his key so he told her he will go check anyway. I'm on edge about this whole buyout.

Then in further news my mom told me on the phone that she has to close her store soon. She does not want to keep dumping personal money into it but the economy has hit her hard and she has not brought home a paycheck for over a year. She said she has used up all of the funds and has been loaning the money from her personal savings for the past 6 months and does not want to do it further. She has no clue what she is going to do. She has owned that store for 20 years. She never worked before that except being involved in Politics. She is devastated.

On a brighter note my brother is graduating from the univeristy of Arizona and is up for Outstanding Senior of the university. He already achieved the honor of outstanding senior of the Finance school and they put his name in the hat for outstanding senior of the whole university. I'm excited for him. He said he doesnt know what to say in his speech if he gets it. I'm certain it will be something different.

Oh, by the way Remember Dreams come true fireworks at DL knocks out Wishes by far. Wishes was good dont get me wrong. It reminded me of what fireworks were like at Disney BEFORE Remember came along. ONe time watching it was enough. We longed for Remember!!! (that sounds funny)

Hello Hyenas,

Shawna- welcome back!! I'm glad you had a great trip. I'm sorry all those things happend to your DH's work and your mom while you were away. I hope everything works out.

Last night I felt so sick. I kept coughing to the point where it seemed like I was choking and my throat was so itchy. I also had the worst headache and felt really cold (our temperature in our room said 79 degrees and I was freezing). I knew something was wrong and took my temperature. It was 99.4 and my body was aching.

I woke up this morning and called my aunt. She took my little sister to school and then she left to the airport (she is going to Europe).

My bf took me to the doctor awhile ago. My primary doctor was unavailable so I saw another doctor. She is the nicest and sweetest person. I was told that I have a sinus virus and that my ears are both red inside, my throat has mucus and it's causing the itching in my throat and the coughing fits. She said I still had a small fever and I told her my head was pounding. She gave me a prescription for antibiotics and also some strong cough syrup. She also told me to drink juice and chicken soup.

We stopped at Albertson's on the way home and I got my meds and also grabbed some groceries: juice and chicken soup ingredients. I could not get hold of my parents last night so I sent my mom an e-mail and also e-mailed my supervisor. I called into work this morning and told them I am not feeling well.

I will try to go into work tomorrow. There is no one else who can handle my work and I need to take care of drop shipments for my customers. In the mean time, I have been checking my e-mail from home.

Okay, my soup is done so I'm going to go eat it.

Wow Shawna, that's a lot to come home to. Hopefully things will work out for you. But if not, Jeff is welcome to call Bruce and he can give him tips on being a SAHD and kewpen clipping! I know my DH has been home too long when I come home and he's complaining that he spent the entire day doing 8 loads of laundry and that he's running out of creative ideas for dinner...so it's chicken once again. Last night he apologized for making chicken when we had just had turkey for dinner on Sunday night.

BTW, a big thank you to Bernice . I really hadn't clipped coupons in quit a while, not really sure why I stopped, but I'm now remembering why I loved them. Today Freddie's had Frosted Mini-Wheats (flavored, strawberry, blueberry, maple & brown sugar, YUMMY!) on sale for $3.00 each. I had a kewpen for $1.00 off so I bought and then the cash register spit out a Catalina for $3.00 off my next Freddie's purchase.

SO....that means I either got all 3 boxes of cereal for $1 each! Of course then I went back and used my $3 coupon for a Starbucks Grande Vanilla Latte that cost me 68 cents out of pocket! The guy at the Starbucks in Fred Meyer was saying WOW! That's awesome, where do you get these coupons?

Pix! Hope you get to feeling better sooner. I wasn't going to say this, but have you ever considered investing $10 in a NeilMed Sinus Rinse? Seriously you guys, you will not get colds, viruses or sinus infections if you use one on a regular basis. Heck, I only use maybe once a week or whenever I feel my nose starting to get the slightest bit stuffy. Think about it...when was the last time you heard me say I had a cold or virus? Heck, I can't even remember it's been so long.

So today I am standing in Fred Meyer in the candy aisle (had a coupon for free gum! ). This lady walks up by me and is looking at the $2.79 Lindt Excellence candy bars. She gets one and I say, Oh I have a couple of coupons for that candy bar, here you can have them. One is for a BOGO free and the other is for 75 cents off. She looks at me, sort of sticks her nose in the air, says NO and walks off.
