I found a recipe I want to try, it's called Banana Split Sundae cookies. Basically an oatmeal cookie recipe, but has 1-1/2 cups of banana, 2-1/2 cups of oatmeal and 1 cup of chocolate chips. Think I will try it next time. I'm always looking for a good recipe for those over ripe bananas.

DH and I finished up the Lebanese food leftovers for dinner tonight. Yummmmm!

Now all the styrofoam containers are stinking up the garbage; DH says he always feels bad for the garbage collector when we've had Lebanese food.

You can always do what my in-laws do when we go to their house on the coast and have crab for dinner. They put it in a sack in their freezer until the morning of garbage pickup. Keeps it from stinking up the entire garbage can. Of course I haven't seen a garbage man get out of his truck in years now. They probably don't smell a thing anymore.

Yeah, our guy doesn't get out , either. There used to be two guys, one driving and one fetching the cans. These days it's just one guy, with a mechanical arm on the truck that does all the lifting and dumping.

DH actually said, "So have you ever talked to our garbageman? He's really a nice guy! I guess not that many people talk to him, but I did once, and he's really nice. A bit talkative, but really nice."

Our garbage guy was in the Seattle Times last year, because he'd been on the same route for 20 years, and somehow somebody found out about it and they brought coffee and cupcakes out to celebrate on his 'anniversary'. I thought it was a cute article, and the next time DS4 and I were out walking and the truck came by, I looked up and recognized the guy from the article!
