Just found the Secretary of state's website and checked out the results so far. Looks like Christine Gregoire and Dino Rossi are neck & neck again this time!

I was most interested in the assisted suicide measure. Looks like it's passing. I know it's very controversial, but trust me I've had a lot of time to think about this from a unique perspective and while I don't know if I would or could ever use it...I find it very comforting to know that it's available.

1000 was the assisted suicide measure.
985 was the transportation measure. While I liked some parts of it, I thought it was filled with a little to much expensive stuff. Good idea, just a really spendy price tag. I think they could find a way to do some of that stuff a lot cheaper.

Maybe on the next election we should just have Dino and Christine flip a coin, would be much cheaper and easier on everyone.

For you Hyenas outside of Washington, our last governor race between these two resulted in several recounts, until Christine won by 127 votes. However, even some of the recounting was controversial.

So here we are again 4 years later and same thing...looks like they are running pretty even again.

985 is the Sound Transit expansion initiative, to expand light rail to Federal Way, Lynnwood and Redmond. One analyst just now said he felt the initiative was too expensive in these tough economic times and would likely fail.

I thought some of the transportation ideas were good...opening up HOV lanes during non-peak hours, making cities time signal lights on main arterials so not sitting at red lights as much. I think if they had broken it up a little and made it into 3 or 4 different measures I may have voted yes on some. I can't remember how much money it was...but it was HUGE! I think that analyst was right, I just felt like it was too expensive right now.

I'm looking at the Secretary of State website right now and that was what they had about 15 minutes ago. Now they've got Dino Ross at 50.36% and Christine Gregoire at 49.64%.

They should've just flipped that quarter like I suggested.

I did check the news earlier and they said Obama is in the lead. I'm not sure what the stats are with Prop 8 but I say VOTE NO!!
