Chapter 1 - Introduction

Finally! It is about damn time. Okay, I am sorry for the language but I have been reading so many reports that I have been dreaming of writing my own. Finally, I have that chance. For the first time, I am staying on Disney's property and I couldn't be more stoked.

Since the beginning of my involvement on the DIS, I have read several reports all of which were amazing. I doubt I will be as good as the best - blaynexox, cherokeemamma, or timandlesley - but heck, I sure will give it a try!

Before beginning, let me just give you a warning. This is not an offical report, well not yet anyway. To be honest, we didn't even leave yet. We will actually be at our resort in less than fourty-eight hours. The only reason why I decided to create a thread here is for brief introductions. I am aware that many do the read the planning reports, so I am basically going to reiterate what I previously said before.

Me - Christopher William Gibbs - I am 21 and I just completed my junior year at the University of Central Florida. Let me just say it has been a long three years and I am ready to graduate. I am so happy to be an offical senior! Actually, I am an elementary education major. My classes have been fun and stressful at the same time. Many would not consider, "Teaching Science in the Elementary School," their hardest class in their educational career; however, I beg to differ. These classes are not easy. I was a 4.25 G.P.A. student all through high school. I have made all A's in college and this semester I was faced with the fact that I may fail a "Teaching Science in the Elementary School" class. It was a struggle but I was just informed I got an A. I am very happy, maybe I was stressing for nothing, but you know - I do that! Most of my friends know me as a Disney dork, geek, nerd, or whichever you want to call it. I stand true to my faith in Disney and I can proudly say I am a Disney addict!

Stephanie - Stephanie is an amazing person. Stephanie and I have been best friends since the beginning of time. I met her when I was seventeen in a college algebra class. Since that time, we have been close friends. Stephanie is in nursing school right now having a really hard time. Thus, she needs a vacation. Stephanie and I, just recently got engaged. We have known each other for sometime so it wasn't a shock to many. It was rather of a relief. If you get where I am coming from. Stephanie and I have taken two disney day trips since January. I have turned my baby into a Disney princess! Although I love it know, I think I might be regretting it later - if you know what I mean. Stephanie and I plan to get married in the feature at Walt Disney World. A dream come true to us both. Oh, did I mention - she has a son! Actually, I get along great with her son. He is an awesome kid and it is sad that his actual father isn't apart of his life. I am happy to be his friend. Althought he recently took a day trip with us, he will not be apart of this trip.

As I have previously mentioned, Stephanie and I have known each other for several years. We have always been the best of friends. We took several courses together. Actually, we took more courses together than I can count fingers on both hands. We were study buddies and nothing more. Well, that is until recently. Recently, we let our feelings for one another show. It wasn't a surprise to anyone when we announced our engagement. People were not amazed at all. In fact, they thought we already were. I guess that's what you call love. We have done many things together and plan to live the rest of our lives together. It is actually an amazing story as to how we came about getting together - but I would rather not bore you with the details. Stephanie introduced me to her son when we first went out as friends. Matthew is a typical boy. He loves skateboarding and anything hardcore and extreme. He is actually a pretty decent kids who has slight behavioral problems - which could be the cause of a lack of a male role model in his life. Thus, I am happy to step in as a friend and support him. His teacher are very cruel to him. As a future teacher, I am upset as to how his teacher goes about talking to him. The actions she conducts inside her classroom are no better. We are all like one happy family with room for expanison. We plan on growing old together, creating a family, and taking many Disney trips together.

This isn't a really good picture. We took this on our Universal trip together that we took around a month or two ago. This report will feature many photos because I love pictures and believe that visuals are easier to follow. I hope that is no problem.

Will our request's be granted? Will our dreams come true? or Will things fall apart? Time will tell. In 48 hours, we will be sleeping at All Star Sports. I forgot to mention, we are driving down on May 3rd at 11:00 AM!

Chapter 2 - Itinerary

I am in the midst of packing. I am nearly finished and decided to take a brief break and update you on our current plans. Before I go into details, I just received a call from Stephanie. She received a 94 on her nursing exam; thus, she is very excited. I couldn't be more thrilled. I don't know what I would do if I had to go to Disney with a grumpy old lady! Anyway, she has another exam tomorrow. Here's for the best.

After taking a nap this afternoon - yes, I do nap at times. I decided to finish my itinerary. This is what it looks like we will be doing while we are at the 'World,' nothing is final and everything is subject to change.

Thursday, May 3rd - We are leaving Daytona Beach around 11:00 in the morning. We will drive to Orlando and make a brief stop at a store. There, we will get snacks, drinks, etc... After, we will drive to All Star Sports and check in. While we are waiting for the room (assuming we will have to), we will check out the resort. Then, we will check out the room, go for a swim, then change to get ready to explore the town. We will go to downtown Disney and then return for an early bedtime.

Friday, May 4th - We will wake up early. We will be at EPCOT all day today. We will arrive before opening. We will explore almost all of future world in the morning. Around 1, depending on the crowd, we may take a break. We will go back to the resort for a swim then return. We will arrive back and stay through the evening magic hours.

Saturday, May 5th - Today is an off day. We plan on sleeping in, if that is possible. When we wake, we will go to the pool. Later in the day, we will explore other resorts, downtown, and just relax. In the evening, we will hop on a bus and go to MK, then get on the boat to FW. We will be going to the Campfire and watching Finding Nemo.

Sunday, May 6th - Today we will wake up early and go to the Magic Kingdom. We will be here all day through evening magic hours. However, we may take a break depending on the crowds.

Monday, May 7th - Arrive at AK for extra magic hours then stay until three or so. From there, we will go to MGM and stay though their evening magic hours. Arrive back at the resort late. We may take a break, depending on the crowd level.

Thursday, May 8th - Depature

I am off to finish last minute packing.

I actually consider myself lucky to have her. She is really an amazing person. But I must admit - usually on the DIS, you hear about people trying to convince their husband to take a yearly vacation to Disney. However, our situation is just the opposite.

I have always loved Disney. Stephanie hasn't had much experience; therefore, she is skeptical and always has been. Stephanie isn't much for planning. So, I took over. She just goes with the flow and actually, I think that works in our favor.

Yeah, it's strange but I think it works for us. Hopefully I can convince her to be a real Disney diva after our upcoming trip. We shall see.

Wow, I would first like to say a big "THANKS" for all the happy wishes. Today, is the day! We leave at 11:00 AM and we are so excited. Stephanie is already in the shower and I am set to go in next. We are almost to excited to breath. It's like we have disney-anxiety for something! I thought this vacation was suppose to be the opposite of our daily lives - stress free! Oh, did I tell you? We both got our final grades! I received all A's, once more. Stephanie passed her Nursing course! Isn't take great? Well to us it is because she was having a horrible time. Well, I just want to let everyone know that we will check in once we return May 8. Have a good time without me!

Chapter 3 - DISNEY-ITIS!

Okay, I am sitting infront of the computer looking rather confused. I am here with large bags under my eyes, tears running down my face, and a depressed look upon my face. I never really felt like this before. I am started to get worried. Should I go to the emergency room? If I go what will happen? What should I tell them?

Oh, wait! I know. I have DISNEY-ITIS! I just returned from my first on-site stay at Walt Disney World! Yes, I had a fantastic time (to say the least). However, now that I am back I am quite depressed. So I am listening to the Official Walt Disney World Album. It is actually helping. I am listening to "It's a Small World," right now. Well... I just wanted to tell everyone I am back. I took many, many, many pictures and did some pretty awesome things. I can't wait to tell you all about them - so my first installment will be sometime tonight!

Hm... Do you remember this trip was an Engagement Celebration? Well, do you think it all worked out in the end? Well, let me just say I am going to try my best to not make this seem like some lifetime movie.

I am actually excited to tell you all about it! However, I don't want to make it into a lifetime movie type of thing because some of the stuff - just isn't pretty. But then again I dont want to make it a reality type thing because we all know reality television isn't all fiction. So I am going to try and stay in between.

Oh, we didn't get no 'offical' dreams. No fastpasses, ears, or castle stays but I have other dreams. Well, I call them dreams because they were to me. I am working on my first installment!

Chapter 4 - "The Killer(s)"

I was on pins and needles the whole night before. Why? I couldn't really tell you. I guess I was just so anxious to get the trip 'i so carefully planned' started. I don't recall dreaming much that night; however, I do remember hearing "It's a Small World," being played over and over in the back of my head. I could visualize the dolls dressed in their different attire kicking their legs into the air. Why do I remember this is totally beyond me - but I dreamt it. I also recall Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto singing infront of an audience. It was a magical sight. Finally, I remember watching fireworks shoot into the air all being played to a lovely song, "Wishes." It was as if I was actually hearing the fireworks, the song, and Jimmy Cricket. Oh, then I entered reality and noticed that it was nothing but a ringing alarm clock.

It was 7:00 in the morning. Why did Stephanie set the alarm so early? We were not scheduled to depart until 11:00. But take it as you may, I woke up right along with Stephanie. We both immediately got ready. It was as if we were two small children who never been to Disney before. We were rushing as if we had a plane to catch - it was a pretty pathetic sight. As Stephanie was getting dressed and putting on her face, as she so calls it - I got on the DIS. I did some last minute research and said my goodbyes. The DIS is a wonderful place. I can actually remember the day I found it. It has almost been one year and it feels like I was born into the Disney family. Everyone is treated with respect as we engage in conversations about something we all love - Disney! Finally, I like the DIS because it provides useful information. Whether you are going for a day, two nights, or even a week there is something here for everybody.

Stephanie actually thinks I am a freak. Stephanie insists that only dorks and nerds would get online and talking to people across the country about one little mouse. However, she doesn't know that Mickey is not a little mouse! Don't mess with my Mickey. I think this is where we differ. Going into this I was excited because this would be a true relationship tester (and boy was it ever). Could we get along together for this long in a small room? Well, this is for another chapter. Let's get back to the basics.

After I got done searching the DIS, we both checked our email and messages on Myspace. Yes, you gotta love myspace! haha! We left at 10:00, an hour before schedule. On our way, Stephanie was heading in the wrong directions.

"Where are you going dear?"

"To get a coffee."

Okay, this is understandable. We will be on the road for around two hours. Let's let the girl have her coffee. But after she got her coffee she was still going in the wrong directions.

"Honey, now what?"

"I want to go buy a CD."

WHAT! WHAT? HUH!? A CD? Does she know were on our way to Walt Disney World for our first on-site stay? Leave it to Stephanie. Stephanie is a huge music fan and I am not. This is where we differ (again).

"Stephanie, can you wait until we get to Orlando?"

"No. I want it now."

So, we pull into Super Target and she goes insite. We spend around two hours in that store. Yes! Stephanie had to look at every little CD. I couldn't believe this. What was happening to my vacation!? She decided on getting a CD by the "Killers," I never heard of them because I have no interest. We got on the interstate shortly after and she began playing her music. Ugh! Just get me to Disney already!
