it's weird how similar but different america and england are
like you'll always find country music in a usa top 40 but it's absolutely nowhere to be found anywhere near the top 200 here...
people are also a lot less approachable here. no one pounces on you as soon as you enter a shop lol and you most definitely would not talk to someone you've never met
class system game too strong here
upper class inherited the money and the children go to eton or cheltenham ladies
upper middle aka lawyers doctors etc
middle class kids go to private or grammar school
working middle class aka most people i know
working class is everyone else

Why is Benefit so expensive? ):

ughhhh i love benefit but it's so overpriced. in all fairness though the products last for quite a while and are really good quality. my favourite thing from then right now is the speedy brows which is a tinted eyebrow gel. i have unruly eyebrows so it helps a lot

Absolutely stressed beyond belief for my exam results on Thursday. I sat something like 21 different exams in 11 different subjects over the course of 4 and a half weeks and it was literally torture... To get back into my school I need to get 3 A grades and 6 B grades or 1 A* 2 A's 5 B's and a C
those grades are taken from my best 9 results overall and it has to include English language and maths. I think I got hopefully an A or B in both of those so... We can only hope
If I don't get back into my school it's absolute curtains and I'll be going to a different school with no friends for 2 years
I hate our education system
The pressure and expectation to do well is actually crippling

I think the thing I'm most scared of is disappointing my family but mostly I'm scared of disappointing myself because I always push myself too hard and expect too much of myself. I mean I just found out that 2 of my cousins didn't do well in their a levels so.... what does it mean

I don't understand how your education system works and it looks super confusing, but I get the anxiety thing- I was so nervous the week before my AP exam scores were released and I lost all hope in myself and assumed I failed both exams, but in the end I passed both of them! I'm sure you did just fine and you're just psyching yourself out

(I don't really ever post here, but...)

You NEED to read it, I'm only on page 30 and I love it!!

i read it a few years ago. it's good, but the series gets pretty monotonous after the 3rd book

ooh well, then I should at least give the first book a shot. I get bored in a series sometimes, so it sounds like that may be the case lol

I'm afraid I will be like omg culture shock once I get over there. I am such a southern hospitalist, so I can converse with anyone. And then everyone will be like wut. The stereotype of the south makes everywhere else in America look shy. We may be too friendly lol I could just go to NYC and the people are so different it's nuts.

I have sorta grown to like it, actually. Well, boys like it, so I am always like awwwww really?! Me?! No way.

Back to my happy place by listening to music that reminds me of being in dc and boston
