I just went to the doctor and he told me that because I have hayfever it can affect my lungs which is why I couldn't take deep breaths so he gave me antibiotics to stop it getting infected and an inhaler whoop de doo

I hope you get better for your vacation coming up! Antibiotics are the worst tasting ever. I can't swallow pills, so I have to take the liquid antibiotics and boy are they a thrill. Regardless, I hope they kick in and get you well!
