I'm trying out this new polish from Forever 21 and it's required more coats than I'm used to.

Then again I've become accustomed to the stuff from Francesca's that only needs one coat, which is nice because I'm really bad at painting my nails in general.

I never used to paint mine, but now I do all the time.
It sounds weird, but if they still aren't dry, you can put them in ice water and they dry pretty quick.

They've dried, I just get super paranoid about messing them up.

I have pretty much no luck with nail polish staying on. I can just look at my nails and the polish will chip.

Right! Mine too. If I do top coat/base coat I get max two/three days. Without those I get like two/three hours.
