That's annoying

They lock my account every time I mistype my password. I noticed this the night before last but since their office was closed yesterday I basically have today or Monday to try and fix it so I can buy my ticket to a concert on Tuesday I really don't want to miss.

Last time this happened it took me two weeks to get ahold of a member "care" advocate to fix the issue.

I want to post on the writing thread but I feel so old and pretentious every time I try to join the conversation.

I always have to actually go to the bank to get any help. Calling never accomplishes anything with my bank.

I have to get a background check and fingerprints for my classes next semester. This is real life.

I'm probably going to go by the bank soon. I tried calling the nearby branch for help and they redirected me to the same busy line I'd been getting all morning.

Banks are annoying. Because of my bank one of my credit cards lists my name and then "A-Minor" as part of my name. I'm 19. They still haven't issued me a new one.

ugh adulthood

why couldn't they have taught us stuff like this in high school?

My guidance counselor was super incompetent and I secretly wondered if they hired him to try and teach us to be more independent.

Mine were the same way. They were really bad with favoritism too. My teacher academy program is the only reason I have scholarships.

My school was reasonably small and I was in the top ten and throughout senior year the college & career counselor would call me out of class to "just check on how the college search was going" even though I'd already taken care of applications and gotten some acceptance letters. I'm pretty certain she only did that so she could act like she had a hand in my success even though she never actually helped with anything.

I was ranked 11th, but because I was stubborn and wouldn't be in honors society I think they forgot about me lol.

at least you had the choice.

My stepdad forced me to join Key Club sophomore year and I hated it, but was too busy to keep up with it junior year and was kicked out.

Then my mom made me join NHS junior year and because so few juniors joined I ended up having to be historian the following year.

They had the mentality of "full ride or it's HCC for you" which is more or less my county's 13th grade institution. I don't see a problem with community college, but I needed to get out of town, and I know people who had especially bad experiences with it.

I just basically refused to write an essay and do all of this work when all NHS really did was sell candles and set up for prom. I had other stuff to look good on applications.

I choose to go to a community college, I'm on a full ride (books and everything), and I really like it. But I know it's not for a lot of people. :)
