Holy cow, they are SOLD OUT!!!

I went to turn on HSN just to check and they weren't on anymore...guess that's why...so I must have got one the last hundred or so!

Did you get this on Tuesday thru HSN or another source?

I read the Cricut boards where those who pre-ordered from Michael's aren't happy since the delivery isn't until November and they arent' getting the extra cricut points.

Yep, I'm not going to link my carts until the 30 days is up!

I can't wait to see how we all like them!

so we'll still be able to cut the 2 Gypsy fonts that are part of the machine...and then once we link up the cartridges, then we can cut those too.

I ordered on Tuesday morning also. Yes, I ordered from HSN and was able to use a 15% coupon as a first time shopper so I got an additional $45 off the Today's Special price. I only wish I had done the 2 day shipping as I am really wanting to play.

This bundle was a really great deal with the extra Don Juan cart (I don't have that one so I am excited about that), the extra reward points (especially with all the new items they just put up) and the exclusive carry bag that is only available with this bundle today through HSN.

I may go back and order the extended warranty as I understand that you have 90 days to purchase that.

Yes, I ordered from HSN Tuesday Morning. A lot of people were able to use new customer coupons and saved a good amount. I had a $20 off coupon code which the person I ordered with told me I couldn't use for some reason ... when I called back later in the day they told me they would apply the $20 to my HSN account because in order to use it they would have to cancel my original order which I didn't want to do. So those who ordered early could use coupons but had to pay shipping while the people who waited for it to go TV didn't have to pay shipping but couldn't use coupons. It really was a sweet deal compared to what M's is doing. I never preorder anything.

I was kicking myself here b/c I didn't have the "code" to use the $45 first time HSN coupon. I was thinking of calling up HSN tomorrow to see if they could apply the $45 to my account...but from your post it seems that they are not accepting the coupon since I ordered today.

I just told my DH about my splurge and he said he is excited about the future photo part! Well, dang! If I knew he was interested, I would have paid with it from joint funds!!

The preorder was through a local store for just over $200, so while I don't get all the extra stuff, I'm paying less than the 15% off coupon would have been.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you a heads up on the EULA chatter over on the Cricut message boards today. If you are a SCAL user, it appears that they plan to try very hard to block your SCAL with "forced" firmware updates.

Also, the "warranty" may have been changed from a year to only six months, and you wouldn't believe what it DOESN'T cover.

Also, it appears that many people are having a lot of trouble syncing their Gypsy if their computer has Vista, but no problems with older computers with XP. Seems very odd that PC would put out a product that isn't compatible with the more recent version of Windows.

Oh that's encouraging news. I have vista and hate it. My dh has managed to get most things on it working. I had to buy a new printer for it. I have been reading a little about the warranty over on cricut. Thank you for posting the links. I am going to read them in more detail. Thank goodness for the 30 days. Hopefully I can get it working or I will have to get my dh's help. Don't want to do that. He does not know about it.

Before returning to HSN, you might also want to check out ebay...I say bids last night for $370 for the HSN package...not sure what the final "won" price was...

I may just do this, too. Then prob will end up buying the Gypsy in a year or two when prices are cheaper...

I never sold on ebay, so not sure how many would bid from me, eventhough I have bought a lot.

I have seen some good reviews about it so far. I am not discouraged yet. There are always things to get working right at first. I will post my findings here and look forward to see you you guys think as well. I am off to read those threads right now.

I agree, not very encouraging news - sorry I had to come and post that!! Mine will be going on Ebay before I even open it if things don't start looking better by the time mine arrives! I have a friend in town who should have picked hers up from M's yesterday. I am hoping to play with hers a bit before I open mine. Maybe I won't even like it. I actually hope I don't - it would make the decision a lot easier!

I believe it is the second to last link that was posted above from the cricut boards, but someone did managed to get it in sync with vista. She wrote down how she did it. I hate vista, but that is what I have. Also someone called cs and there was a problem with their server. I am like you why would they not make a new electronic easily downloaded to vista. Makes no sense. I hope I can get it to work, because I don't want to have to get dh's help, because I did not tell him I bought it.

I will be really upset if I spend $210 on a piece of electronic equipment that doesn't work with my computer. I am a big Cricut user, and have invested a lot of money in their products, the least they can do is make a machine that works with the most current operating system.

And, if it interferes with SCAL, I'll be reallllllly peeved. Hopefully, I won't need to deal with too much of attaching it to the computer though.

I just wanted to let you all know I got my gyspy today. When I went to sync it on my computer I had no problems at all. I have vista 32. We were reading that there were problems. It went smoothly for me.

Also they have already done more updated on the gyspy and you can now copy/paste and there is another upgrade I was reading,but I was not paying that close attention, because I have been trying my gyspy out. Alot of the questions at first have already been taken care of.

Wow, you got it already? That was fast! I just checked my tracking info and mine is scheduled to be delivered on 9/30. Did you have to sign for it? I will be at work when they deliver it.

I tried my friend's out today, and I'm not sure I'll be keeping mine. It's already on Ebay with a bid, but I can always pull the auction down. I just don't know what to do.
