Finally, I caught enough breaks in the rain to get everything hooked up and ready to pull out in the morning.

Detail guy did a good job. If you notice my tires, my daughter's sidewalk chalk has already undermined his work. Oh well.


Steps are still down since the DW has to get her clothes packed in.

Well, gotta get a shower and off to work in the ED. Gotta see how many folks I can save from themselves before I start vacation.

Hey Randy, Sorry I didn't see you. I was in the zone towing the behemoth home. I did get the camper after the storms passed but guess what It's not fixed. The wonderful repairman billed Open Range for replacing the slide motor and gearbox but only replaced the motor. Then seemed surprised that it malfunctioned when I tried it. So I get the do the 5 hour round trip back to Ponchatoula LA after the camping trip so they can replace the gearbox.

I'm hoping to roll in early Saturday by 10 am. My main goal it to try and avoid the holiday tunnel backup. If my sites not ready I will try and park somewhere and go bike riding or swimming or maybe get a head start on BamaEd's new puzzle. If the people on my site stay after 12 maybe I can get the Tiggerdad's squirrel brigade to create a little havoc and run them off.

I talked to my dad about 5pm and he said your site is just sitting there...... empty....... waiting for someone to back into it.......

Same here snowmedic. Its like getting ready to watch an episode of your favorite TV show. Get your snacks together and climb into your comfy chair and let the antics begin.

I washed the camper and truck today. All I have left tomorrow is to try Michael's awning cleaning advice and polish up my skylights and reseal a couple of spots I found today. I will pack everything not already in the camper on Friday and get hooked up to leave early Saturday.

Funny you should mention that, I added my thin jacket to my closet this evening just in case.

Everyone have a safe trip down tomorrow. Think of me while I have another 10 hour day at work.

I'm off Friday though and will spend all day cleaning out the camper just to pile a bunch more stuff in. I may wash the truck, but every time I do, I have hellacious rain to drive through.

I had a terrible day at work. Figures trying to get ready for vacation and you know what hits the fan. We are mostly packed up. We will pick up the rig from the shop. They fixed the mirror and we need to reschedule for the body work. All I want to do is sit outside on Friday with my dogs and drink adul beverages and tell work to well kiss off.

Thursday we hope to roll in about 3. Will set up and hit Walmart and Rouses and that is my plan. You already got Friday. Saturday will be a drink water day to get ready for the 5k.

Tiggerdad after 30 yrs. in Law enforcement and as an EMT all i can say with regards to some people Rebecca Howe had it right "You are too stupid to live!!!"

Well, this is a pic of my laptop at work. Figures I'd have an involved laceration repair at the end of shift so now I gotta get all my charting done.


However, it does mean:. Vacation time is here!

So I'm gonna finish this up and head home and try to get some sleep. So I'll end tonight with my usual "heading out" gif since my computer at home is already packed up.

Okay, being from NEPA, I have to wonder what temperature someone in the Gulf Coast might consider as "Cold"... So it dipped into the 70's?

Yeah.... I have done enough in Emergency Services (Medical, Law Enforcement, and even Dispatch) to think the same thing. Some people are beyond help. Horrible as it sounds, Darwin just isn't as effective as he used to be, thanks to modern medicine. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

We are on the road. Original target was 9 am. We made it out at 9:50. I call that a win. I was up in the middle of the night and at least validated one of the issues we are having at work. Not really a good sign to be thinking about work then but it happens. Am going to attempt two calls this afternoon noon but it really depends on where we are when the calls happen. Funny thing, this was supposed to be our "quiet" period at work and that is definitely not the case.
