The Gross Things you see.....

Our gross experience ruined Pecos Bills for my DS, who was 10 at the time. We were eating lunch when a toddler at the next table threw up all over the floor. Obviously you can't blame the poor kid...the mom grabbed the kid and ran to a bathroom, I presume. But, the dad, instead of alerting someone to clean it up packed up the stroller and ran off so as not to get caught! We just sat there stunned. Once we realized that they had not told anyone, we told a CM who proceeded to tell another CM to clean up....then the two of them stood there and argued about whose job it was to clean it up...we moved to another table and then left without anyone cleaning up the spot! Needless to say next year my son says Pecos Bills is off his list! Just turns his stomach to talk about it....

Lots of gross people around the buffets.
Dirty fingernails, wiping their noses and then getting food from the buffets.

I was at a local water park when a child about 9-10 puked in the pool right next to me - I grabbed my dd and we got out of there. I stopped to tell the lifeguard, he took a glance, said he didn't see anything and never emptied the pool to clean it. That was gross because I saw the puke come out of the kids mouth so I knew it was there.

My cousin's dh also didn't put a swim diaper on their dd last time we were at the Great Wolf Lodge and she pooped in her diaper while in the water - we all know that it came right out into the water. He didn't say anything about it until later so that pool was never cleaned either.

Maybe I'll just keep my kids out of the water.

I'm amazed at people who carry around a potty. how on earth do they do this??????

I agree with buffettgirl! I have 4 kids and they have all been to Disney while wearing diapers/being potty trained. I would much rather find a bathroom than carry around a portable potty that I need to clean each time they use! That is just crazy.

DS puked near the Pop pool. It happens. He choked on some water (how many times can I tell him to keep his mouth shut?!?) and I whipped him out of the pool as fast as I could. We promptly told the lifeguard who sprinkled some stuff on it. But...before the janitor arrived, my sister came downto the pool and stepped in it!:lmao: I was mid sentence, wazving my hands like a maniac. At least the puke was"related" to her!

UGH, thanks for reminding me,lol. I really not into buffets anyway, but thats character meals for you. Ill suffer thru it for mickey.

When we did discovery cove in sw, we were asked to get out of the fesh water pool. Asked the guard why, and he said "dont announce it, but someone threw up in the pool"! OMG my body and face had been in it for a while. All I wanted was a shower after that.

I've seen diapers changed in restaurants and that is just wrong. Take the kid outside or to the rest room for heaven's sake!

I've also seen the kids allowed to pee in the bushes - mostly boys. I think its pretty gross and I live in the woods where it is perfectly acceptable for the boys and men to just walk away, turn their backs, and pee in the woods. But a crowded theme park is a bit different than out here in the woods!

I cannot imagine carrying around a potty.

Walked into the mens room at Typhoon Lagoon one day and found that someone had left a little "present" next to a urinal, instead of going into a stall.

We were in Epcot by the Imagination pavillion when this little girl puked all over!

Okay, it was my 7 year old, but gross nonetheless! :rotfl:

We immediately got a CM's attention and they cleaned that up so fast it was amazing!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the family that had to loudly yell out "Eww...Gross" (and that was the mom).

I should have let her step in it, but I had just warned her and she had to yell that out. She had two kids about the same age as mine so it's not like she hadn't seen it before!!

Okay, enough venting! :thumbsup2

As long as the family was taking the responsibility of getting it cleaned up, I'd never "eww"! My son's a "puker". See my previous post!:rotfl2:

The grossest thing I probably saw at Disney was a toddler sitting on his mother's lap at the Liberty Tree Tavern who proceeded to have a 'diaper explosion' all over himself and the mom....and I mean ALL OVER the mom. The father took the child and held him out extended like that scene in the Lion King and proceeded to the nearest bathroom while the sight of it seemed to part the crowd like the Red Sea. In the meantime, a couple of CMs were doing their best to help the poor woman by giving her some wet towels to scrub her clothes down with.

Now one would think that this woman, who was still covered in stains (only lighter or smeared more now) would have hopped onto the monorail or bus to change at their resort. Nope. The father came back with a now daper looking son and the family proceeded to eat as if nothing happened. The woman still reeked and people at surrounding tables were just disgusted if not flat out left.

Sorry, didnt take any pictures. :goodvibes

I am glad that I read this before eating lunch but now I am not so sure I want to eat. I knew I should have stopped reading after page 1. Just when you think you have read or seen everything. If these parents let their kids do this stuff in a public place, I can't imagine what they do at home or even what their homes look like. What a lack of RESPECT!

Precisely why we don't eat at buffets or swim in public pools! Ugh! The mere thought of eating this kind of food or swallowing this kind of water just makes so so SICK!

this goes for anyplace really, men(or women) spitting on the ground. I think its just nasty and dont understand why.

You know what gets me is as soon as alot, not all, but alot of men, as soon as they walk outside they spit. What did they do the whole time they were indoors? I don't see them spitting on the floor, or in potted plants, on in the sink. Why do they have to do it as soon as they get outside. I don't understand, any men out there want to explain.

My sister is a spitter and it drives me crazy, I don't go out in public with her, and rarely visit because of this.

Last trip we saw a mom let her son pee in the bushes while we were waiting to see FOTLK. We were shocked. :scared1:

Keep them coming (but maybe not about the beffets) LOL Our trip is in 18 days and we have two planned!

I just don't get the moms allowing their boys to pee in the bushes--- c'mon there are bathrooms EVERYWHERE in Disney! Like, seriously, what are you TEACHING this kid?!!
