thumpery - I don't recall seeing loaves of bread in the Food court area, but I wasn't looking for them either. Sorry.

Disney Girlie-Wirlie - the Food court closed at midnight when we were there. Enjoy!

How late is the food court open at Pop Century? I'm assuming there's no room service that's available. Don't know why, but DH & I always tend to get the munchies after we get back from a day at the parks or Downtown Disney. So, if the food court isn't going to be open when we get back from the parks, I'll have to remember to get some snacks before leaving the park! Thanks! My Sweet-tooth really appreciates the answer to this question! :teeth:

The food court is open until midnite.

We are late night snackers too and found that our best bet was to get something in DTD or PI and bring it back to our room. We were usually back to Pop around 11:30 or 12:00, but keep in mind that they close at 12:00 so not all the food stations are going to be open between about 11:00-12:00. I think usually pizza and stuff like that was open, and then the stuff in the cases (which we usually found to be dry and un-appetizing.) Have fun- we LOVE LOVE LOVE Pop and can't wait to go back!!

we loved pop our first stay in '04 and are planning on going back in january :flower:

for the late night munchies, there is pizza delivery available, not sure what time it ends (but i think it's midnight)!

Just make a note that the pizza delivery is REALLY expensive when they basically are just bringing you pizza from a place you could easily walk to and get it yourself for a LOT less $$. I'll check and see if I still have the cost difference somewhere. We like to splurge and have fun at Disney, but this one just didn't make sense to us :)

from allearsnet.com menu section

at everything pop: 16 Inch POP Supreme Pizza - Choice of 4 toppings $17.99

delivery: Groovy Pizza - Build your own 16 inch Pizza with 4 toppings $18.99
Choice of: pepperoni, sausage, ham, meatballs, onions, tomatoes, black olives, green peppers, extra cheese or mushrooms

there are some nights my aching feet would pay a buck (plus tip, i know!) not to have to trek to the food court! LOL! and dessert items on the delivery menu were the same price as the everything pop menu :flower:

I thought it was a lot different than that. I'm sorry. Was there a delivery charge added or something? I can't remember why we thought it was so much more :confused3 I apologize.

oh, no need to apologize... maybe the price at the food court went up and is now more in-line w/the delivery service? there could very well be a delivery charge too...

:flower: Do they have the big freshly baked cookie ice cream sandwiches at the food court? :earboy2:

don't recall if they have the cookie ice cream sandwiches, sorry!

there's probably room for a twin mattress on the floor, but it will be tight and need to be picked up to comfortably walk around the room... :flower:

If it was for a child, probably. I would suggest the best place to put it would be between the two beds. Other than that, you could maybe move the table and chairs off to the side, but then it's going to be right in the path of the doorway. If it was something you were going to inflate each night right before you went to bed and then deflated it right when you woke up then you should be ok.

Not sure if this is the right place.......didn't know exactly where it would belong....anyway...STaying at POP this NOV....wondering if cabs are available all the time. To and from, Meaning do we have to call a cab to pick us up at POP, or are there usually ones already there..(I'm thinking Vegas here so excuse my ignorance..lol) Same for the parks....would we have to call or are they readily available? Any comments would be greatly appreciated...Also, is it even worth it?.....We were just trying to avoid the bus lines..and such....

thanks, jd

My advice for you (since most likely you will have to call cabs) is to wait for the buses. This is my opinion though. I think the buses are great and don't have that long of a wait. I love the buses. :wizard:

i recommend you give the buses a try before you call a cab... we had great bus service at pop w/the only real line being at park closing after fireworks (the cab line is likely to be long then too!)

it's been my experience that at the value and mod resorts, cabs are not waiting but rather need to be called by phone (the wait after the phone call is usually minimal)...

just a head's up... cab fare in and around wdw is pretty steep... we paid $25 from AKL to the contemporary (it was pouring rain, we just missed the MK bus and needed to get to chef mickey's for dinner!)... and another $25 to go from the dolphin to pioneer hall at fw... if we did that any more often, we could have stayed on the monorail line or rented a car!

Any truth to the fact that I heard they are putting Fridges free in Pop like the moderates and deluxe resorts?

this is the first i've heard of it... i would doubt it if for no other reason than lack of space!

We used an adult sized camp airbed (with frame) from walmart this summer at ASMo. It just fit between the beds. The frame made it almost as tall as the beds.

I think we will try the air matress between the beds, we would deflate it in the morning to get it out of the way. I love my son but there is no way anyone can sleep with him, so he and his brother may have to take turns on the floor.
