The Zipadee do dah channel (last I knew) had bee replaced by Krissa's Top 7 Things to Do on the Disney TVs. Zip was replaced well over a year ago as far as I know.

I will miss The Zipadee do dah channel. :guilty: :guilty:

DD and I just returned from a DD - Mommy 5 day trip at POP!!! IT WAS AWESOME!!!! The longest we waited for the bus was 10 minutes... Our room was 4062 in the 70's section 1 room away from the stairwell and right across from the goofy jets! DD Loved it!!! We were right next door to classic hall and te bus stop.. The kiddie pool was great! DD swam every day! We ate in both the food court and also brought our food back to our room.. Great choices!! Very Kid friendly!!! :flower: It is a great resort, adn I have no doubt we WILL be back! :cool1:

Speaking of Mommy and Me trips...
My 9 y.o. DS and I will be staying at Pop in May. I know he is going to want to swim as often as possible. I was thinking of requesting a 50's bldg. since the bowling pin pool seems to be the secondary pool and might not be quite as crowded. So, which 50's bldg. (and even which room) should I request so that he will have a short walk to the pool? Any thoughts?

The bed rails slip in between the mattress and box spring, and are L shaped, so that they provide a railing to keep children from falling off the bed.
Thanks so much! I called my agent and had her request the bed rails for me instead of a crib... I think this will make our vacation so much better.... thanks again!

Make sure to remind the CM about the rails upon check in. :)

We will be staying here in May also. I wasn't sure if you could request a room on the bottom floor or not. Should I call ASAP and find out?

Jennifer :) :sunny:

You can request a bottom floor room. I did for our trip but remember it's only a request.

Just got back from Pop yesterday. My legs still hurt from all the walking. DS and I really missed Zip-a-dee-do-dah Tip for Today.

I wasn't really happy with our room location (0108). It was 70's but about as far away from Classic Hall as you could get in a 70's building. Next time (October) we will get there earlier and try to get a better room. The buses were fine, except for yesterday. We waited 30 minutes for the DTD/TL bus. Why do they turn left out of TL and go the long way around to get to DTD when it's right across the street??? On our last trip we went to DTD twice and each time we took a different route. :confused3

Over all I was very happy with our mini-vacation and our first trip to Pop.

I have a special request. If anyone is going to WDW in the near future and wouldn't mind doing me a favor I would greatly appreciate it.

All the kids at DS(9)'s school are into those rubber wristbands, like Lance Armstrong's "LIVESTRONG". WDW has ones with Mickey icons on them. DS really wanted to get one, but I told him to wait until the last day and they were gone. I feel really bad about it.

Would some kind person be willing to get one for DS and mail it to us? Of course I would pay for the wristband ($2 + tax) and postage.

Please PM me.

Prior to Noon, the route stops at TL first. Drivers are then to make a right out of TL, and head to the Marketplace.

After 12:00, the route goes Marketplace first, and drivers are to use Vacation Club Way (by OKW and SSR) to get to the Marketplace.

99% of the time these standard routes are followed... however, sometimes traffic and congestion caused by accidents force us to take alternate routes. (or, the driver just had a senior moment and took a wrong turn by accident... *shrug* it happens to us all)

Hello! I am going to be staying at POP at the end of June, and this thread has made me even more excited! It will be me with my boyfriend, we are both young and don't care where our room will be located, because we don't mind walking to catch the bus on a lovely summer day! :sunny:

Anyway, I just had a question, if nobody can answer, hopefully Tyler can. My boyfriend likes fishing, and I read that you can fish in Hourglass Lake, from the shores. Does POP have rods, etc. for rent? It isn't possible for him to bring his own because we are flying...it would really make him happy if he could rent a pole and fish for a few hours (and I could get in a little time for myself and the sun :smooth: ). Let me know!

You can fish from the shores only, and not the bridge. The shores are very steep, and not really suitable for fishing. Fishing poles are not available. And to be quite honest, I doubt there's really anything in there worth catching.

We saw a child fishing last year off the banks and he was very luck to catcha snake! It was a little guy but it scared the socks of that poor kid. :scared1: Why don't you look at taking an afternoon and head over to WL and see about fishing in Bay Lake? WL is wonderful and maybe you can grab dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe while you are there.

Hello All!

I will be going to WDW in May with my whole family (6 adults and two toddlers) and we all have Verizon as our cell phone provider. Does anyone know if we will be able to use these phones in the park to keep in touch - or should we get something else like Walkie Talkies...

Thanks for your help!

Thanks so much Shelley! I am so psyched we can all keep in touch. It will be difficult since there are so many of us - and you never know when we will have to leave because of the kids.

Thanks again!

We just got back from WDW on Sunday. DH and I have Verizon too and we used them to find each other after he went on a couple rides that DS and I didn't want to go on. DH also called his parents, in NY, about ten times and never had a problem (unfortunately :sad2: ) . He's such a mamma's boy.

We've tried walkie talkies, but they don't seem to work well because so many other people have them and it's hard to get a channel no one else is using.

I got back on Saturday and used verizon with no problem!
