There is a new pop frige swap forming if anyone wants in on the ground floor (so to speak). I was always too slow. ;)

Link is in my siggy.

I can't wait for my first visit to POP only 5 more weeks!!!!!!

Thanks for posting the link..I was in on one of the original swaps last October at POP (it was my 1st time there can't wait to go back :cool1: ) but my dates are not available for that swap so glad you posted. You will have an awesome time at POP...until I can afford AKL or Ft Wilderness again (probably not in THIS lifetime) when I stay on site I will NEVER stay anywhere else I was that happy!

Food Supplies in the Gift Shop

I know French Quarter has it and All Stars too.

Does anyone know for sure if Pop has Bread Loafs in the Gift Shop?

Any one can confirm this?

I don't think there is any food at the gift shop, but in the food coaurt you probably can? They are connected.

Have seen cookies and such, but no bread - but then I was not looking for bread. Hopefully someone who has pruchased it will reply soon:)

I took a measuring cup (I was bored!) and put 2 cups of water in it. It filled the travel cup to the line (there is a little line inside, I think it's where the lid hits) and it overflowed the big one. It surprised me, but that's what happened. It's not really much difference, but I couldn't even fit all the 2 cups into the bigger looking mug.

DisneyFreak,

I always wanted to tour PEI. I think its because of my days of reading Anne of Green Gables as a child. I think its very cool that you actually live there. It must be beautiful.

I totally want to go to PEI sometime. I totally can't wait to hit the Canada gift shop and see what Anne stuff they have!

I can't imagine that they don't have bread! I also buy bread every trip. Maybe the time the others looked they had run out? We leave in 10 days for Florida but we are going to stay in the Contemporary for 2 nights to watch the fireworks, electrical pageant parade and just watch the Magic Kingdom wake up!:cool1:

I just booked our vacation and we decided to stay at the Pop. We had been going back and forth between ASMo and one of the Moderates until today when I saw the thread( think that is what you call them!!) that was started for pictures of Pop Century. It looks perfect for our two year old. She was looking at the pictures with me and started yelling "Lady - Lady" when she saw the statue. We are going in January - Cannot Wait!! We requested a Preferred Room -where will that be 60's ?

The preferred rooms are 60's and some rooms in 50's and 70's. Hope you have a great time!

Thank you for the map - I thought the last time I had paid for a preferred room, and your map shows I got a "normal" room. Did they change locations of preferred in the last year?

The preferred room location changed last year (was it early 2006 or late 2005?) - maybe in between your visits.

Definitely for the better - I always felt bad for those on the back side of the 60's because it was a longer walk than where we stayed in the 50's.

Can someone tell me if the rooms at POP will fit a twin size air mattress on the floor? Here is my problem. My 1 year old won't sleep in a pack N Play, for those of you who don't know, its the portable cribs that I believe Disney uses. Since the beds are too small for the baby to sleep between Dad and I, we thought we would bring a air mattress for one of the older boys to sleep on, then DH will sleep in the other bed with our other DS. Leaving a bed for the baby and me. Gosh, does that all make sense??:rotfl: TIA!!!

It would be probably be very tight, but you may be able to fit it in by laying it from the sink area to the connecting door area. No one would be able to get to the toilet easily (but hey, I have slept in a hotel room with 10 Girl Scouts and 3 adult supervisors, so I am use to tight quarters).

If you don't mind the tight space, I think you could work it out. Now during the day you couldn't leave it there because the maid would need to get around, but you could put the air mattress between the bed and the wall that is between the bath and sleeping area.

If your son is use to sleepover parties and sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor you may want to try using one of those lounge pool floats for his air mattress. They take up less room and they are softer than the floor (again, something we did in Girl Scouts---never had room for everyone to have real air mattresses).

You will love Pop! It is a great resort!

I am a newbie at POP too, so I apologize if this question has already been asked. We will be going for a short visit 10/4-8, and I booked a standard room. Can I call and ask not to have a connecting room even though I did not pay for the preferred room price? I am not so concerned with the location of the room (I would rather not be on top of the main pool area, but I won't complain if we are). Any suggestions?
thanks!

annie1995 - if you move the small table and 2 chairs to the area next to the window, you will have room to place a twin air mattress along the same wall as the tv. That will make things a little tight between the first bed and window but you have the area in between the beds for manuvering around.

jessirae - you can always call CRO and have the request added to your reservation but remember, a request is simply that - a request. Even a preferred room wouldn't guarentee you did not have a room that connects with another one. Good luck though!

I think you can request a cot when you get there. Is that right? Hope so we may have my MIL stay a couple of days and we will need to get a cot unless we get stuck with the double beds. We requested a King and Ds will just sleep with us.

Last year he was 11 months and wouldn't sleep in the pack n play either.

Those blow up sleeping bag beds look nice too, but you probably would want to deflate it every morning...or maybe stick it upright behind the table or something.
